Saddlemen Gel-Channel Track-CF Seat for Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa

The Gel Channel line of seats for sport bikes are designed specifically for the rider that needs a seat that can do everything—canyon carving, track days, or commuting. Features Saddlemen’s Gel Channel (GC) technology (patent pending) that incorporates a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure on the perineal area, increase blood flow, and keep the rider in the saddle longer. Saddlemen sport bike seats offer high quality, light weight construction and styling that’s second-to-none.

The “Track” style series has hard-line looks that can’t be matched by any seat on the market. These seats are covered in contrasting colors that make it obvious that it’s a custom, and are specially constructed using a variety of materials that specifically match each bike’s colors and textures. Each “Track” seat is slightly bucketed in the rear section to contour to the rider’s body for better control during aggressive riding.

The CF models combine the outstanding features of the standard Track seat with a high-tech carbon fiber-look cover, center channel strip, and rear seat cover.

  • Saddlemen’s revolutionary Gel Channel (GC) seats offer high quality, durable construction, and styling that are as unique as they are functional.
  • The GC-seat design combines an interior comprising of progressive density foam and SaddleGel with a specialized cover that provides Sportbike riders a new level of comfort and control.
  • Gel Channel (GC)  technology (patent pending) seats incorporate a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure on the perineal area, increase blood flow, and thus keep the rider in the saddle longer.
  • The SaddleHyde cover holds up to hard use while providing a superb balance comfort and grip
  • Plated steel brackets are part of the plastic or fiberglass seat pan foundation specially engineered so your Saddlemen seat matches or exceeds the original seat’s fit.
  • Designed and built in the U.S.A.

Terry C asked: Is this seat considered to be low profile and if not what seats do you have available that are low profile for my 2013 Busa? Aug 10, 2013

John N: I have a 2011 GSX-R 600. The Saddlemen CF replacement seat adds about an inch of extra height over the stock seat. The Saddlemen seat is contoured slightly to keep from sliding front to back. The only difference I feel from the stock seat is Saddlen seat is much more comfortable on long rides. That's what I wanted, when I ride aggressive the the feel of the bike under me the same as the stock seat. Aug 12, 2013

john l: i just bought a 2008 gsxr 600 and the stock seat is cheap. i am thinking about getting the seat you have but also considering the kevin schwantz series seat.......have you checked about this seat or know anyone who has this seat? Jan 1, 2015
Duncan T: Hi Terry, not low profile. Maybe 1/2" higher?
Really do like the seat though. Great for increased comfort while still being easy to move around on.
Sorry , I don't know about seats for your Busa.

Michael D: Hey Terry, I have this seat for my 12 R1 and the difference between this and the OEM seat from Yamaha was minimal as far as difference in thickness- however the saddlemen seat is INFINITELY more comfortable! I wouldn't worry about a difference in ride height or anything like that.. One thing I will say though is that it is a little slipperier than OEM.. You might consider some stompgrip or other comparable tank grips to help keep you in place. Overall- this seat is incredible- I would have to give my backside a rest after about an hour or so with the original seat, with this thing I can ride literally all day without having to stop. Super comfortable! Good luck.. Aug 15, 2013

Terry C: Thanks John. My bike needs to be lowered by an inch, I was told that if I find a low profile seat that this could eliminate the need to have it lowered ( I definitely do not need an added inch).I will continue my search. Aug 12, 2013
