Saddlemen Gel-Channel Tech Seat Honda CBR 250 R

The Gel Channel line of seats for sport bikes are designed specifically for the rider that needs a seat that can do everything—canyon carving, track days, or commuting. Features Saddlemen’s Gel Channel (GC) technology (patent pending) that incorporates a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure on the perineal area, increase blood flow, and keep the rider in the saddle longer. Saddlemen sport bike seats offer high quality, light weight construction and styling that’s second-to-none.

The “Tech” style series incorporates high-quality, flexible fabric top covers that breathe well and are textured to allow the body to move on the seat for aggressive maneuvering. Just under the top cover is a layer of memory foam that contours to the shape of the rider’s body with additional memory foam in areas strategically positioned for maximum comfort.

Many Gel Channel solo seats come with a matching pillion cover for a unified look.

I was surprised to see the memory foam on the pillion cover. Great product installed in under 30 mins. Very comfortable. April 9, 2014
Saddleman Seat Bought to replace the vinyl covered brick that came on my 06 Busa. It gives you much better feedback and feel for the road. It was very firm at first but as its beginning to break in it is getting much more comfortable. Definitely better than the factory seat. March 29, 2014
Very comfortable This seat is a huge improvement over the stock one. It eliminates vibration and makes low speed riding a dream (riding through town etc.) firmest was easy and only took 5 minutes. It doesn't quite sit as far backward as the stock seat which leaves a slight gap. I'm yet to find if that is an issue as yet. Overall it's a fantastic product and would recommend for sure! Must Get Must get for riders. I ride a Duc and it helped an insane amount. DO yourself the favor put the performance parts off till tax returns and get this. August 14, 2013
Good seat Seat is much more comfortable on long rides then stock seat and still looks stylish. Just did 1200 miles on it and it was a huge improvement over the stack seat. Pillion seat cover adds some cushion but not much for passenger. Main seat installation was easy but a little tight to fit at first. Pillion cover installation takes some time to stretch and staple on and the stitching in some places looked like it was pulling apart but held up to the 1200 miles with a passenger on it. Over all good seat. July 15, 2013
zx10r saddlemen gel tech seat perfect fit, nice design also! and more comfort..... July 15, 2013
Looks and feels nice, but doesn't lower seat height The seat feels great on my ninja 250r. It definitely reduces butt pain and fatigue. It allows you to settle into the seat and fell a little bit more secure while riding at high speeds. I noticed the comfort instantly. However, the fitment is not quite perfect. After install you can wiggle the seat a little. Also it is disappointing to see that this seat is not lower than stock. I ordered this seat (low height tech seat) specifically because it was supposed to lower seat height by 1 inch or more. It does not, and if anything it looks a little higher than stock. June 10, 2013
Replace the stock seat with this... Using the Saddlemen on a Yamaha R-1. Much better than the stock seat. Very good grip, and you do not feel like you will slide off in the twisties like the stock seat. Comes with a cover for the passenger seat. Shipping was a bit slow due to the fact they ship from the Saddlemen factory and then ship from PA. replace your stock seat with this... June 5, 2013

Christopher R asked: Hey there! I need to replace the stock seat on my CBR250R with one that's more comfortable for long trips (~2hrs) and this looks like the most comfortable one. Firstly, I want to know if I'm correct about that. Secondly I'd like to know, what is the difference between ordering a "low height" option versus a "standard height" option? Thanks for your help! Rodrigo J: Hi, the seat is great. My legs and feet would go numb before I switched to this seat. Also the seat memory foam instantly molds to you and allows your body to set into it. It actually makes you feel more secure when riding which is something I didn't expect. I was bouncing around over bumps with the stock seat. The low height is lower than the stock seat, but I only notice it to the front of the seat because it exposes some scratch marks left by the front of the original seat on the lower part of the gas tank, where they meet. I do not notice a difference in standing height however. It will not make you feel like you can touch the ground better, if you are short. Maybe it gives you a quarter inch. But it must be lower than the standard height version, which may be higher than stock. Sep 18, 2013

Will L: The tech seat's not too bad. My bum still get sore in longer rides, just not as much or as quick. Also allows to the move around easier in the twisties. It's worth the money, but I can't help you with he seat height sorry. Sep 18, 2013

clay b: Hello,

I bought one for my 07 CBR1000. Very comfortable compared to original seat. The new seat is maybe a few mm lower but not noticeable. Felt the same in regards to height. I highly recommend this replacement seat if you spend very much time riding. Very high quality construction and finish. Not as slippery and as easy to slide around on compared to original but comfort factor more than makes up for it. Hope this helps you.
