Saddlemen Gel-Channel Sport Seat Honda CBR 250 R

The Gel Channel line of seats for sport bikes are designed specifically for the rider that needs a seat that can do everything—canyon carving, track days, or commuting. Features Saddlemen’s Gel Channel (GC) technology (patent pending) that incorporates a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure on the perineal area, increase blood flow, and keep the rider in the saddle longer. Saddlemen sport bike seats offer high quality, light weight construction and styling that’s second-to-none.

The Sport style series uses black-on-black, easy-to-clean cover material for the entire top portion of the seat with a matching center strip. Each Sport seat is slightly bucketed in the rear section to contour to the rider’s body for better control during aggressive riding.

Many Gel Channel solo seats come with a matching pillion cover for a unified look.

All Saddlemen seats are made in the U.S.A.

Meh... I don't know....I just don't know. On the one hand, I'm glad I spent the money to get a seat that takes the pressure off the...you know. On the other hand, I don't think it's more comfortable. In fact, I think this was a lot of money to spend for a seat, and I would have liked to have been able to really FEEL the difference. I just don't know whether this was worth the $$$. Fit and finish is very good. My version (for 2013 CBR 250R) came with a matching cover for the pillion seat. Haven't installed it, but it's high quality. The seat's center channel is well made, deep enough and shaped well enough to relieve the various pressures...but I just thought the gel would be more comfortable. It's not...although it's no less comfortable than the stock seat, either. To be fair, nobody promised a more comfortable seat...only a seat with a center channel. I got that, and hopefully my nether-regions are all the better for it. You can't have everything, and maybe this is a very selfish, uber-consumer thing to say, but I'd have liked to really feel a little more difference, given the money I spent. August 12, 2014

Charles B: My seat is on a Yamaha FJR 1300…2005. Mine is a rider passenger one piece model. I am 5'10" tall with a 30 inseam. I'm 220 #, so I'm a bit overweight. Lowering the seat height wasn't my objective in buying the seat but is is a 'bit' lower…no specific objective measurement has been made by me. I just went out and sat on it and my legs are slightly bent,5-10 degrees, with my feet absolutely flat on the ground and very comfortable. There is nice support for my buttox posteriorly and less bulk between my legs with good ischial tuberosity support. I like it and it does lower things nicely. I could do a 500 mile day on it without issue. It looks kinda cool too! Oct 29, 2013

Ken B: i bought the saddlemen gel-channel for my triumph daytona 675r there was no low version offered but i can say the seat is high quality and much more comfortable than my stock seat the only issue i had was that none of the rubber snubers came with the new seat had to take them off the old one. Hope this helps.ride safe! Nov 8, 2013

A shopper asked: which saddlemen do i get that will provide the most comfort? May 23, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Joseph R: I currently have the gel-channel sport and it is a lot more comfortable than the stock seat. The biggest downside is that it is not waterproof. If I could do it again I would choose the Chicane seat. A friend has one and it seats great as well but doesnt get wet. It is an all leather version with all the comfort. May 23, 2014

Bret W: I ended up buying the gel channel sport for my 2003 Hayabusa and I love it. Way more comfortable that the stock. The channel relieves the pressure that can cause numbness and pain and you are able to comfortably ride for much longer distances. May 23, 2014
