Saddlemen Gel-Channel Sport Seat for Honda CBR250R
The Saddlemen Gel-Channel Sport Seat is designed specifically for sport riders that need a seat that can do everything—canyon carving, track days, or commuting. Features Saddlemen’s Gel Channel (GC) technology (patent pending) that incorporates a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure on the perineal area, increase blood flow, and keep the rider in the saddle longer. Saddlemen sport bike seats offer high quality, light weight construction and styling that’s second-to-none.
Black-on-black, easy-to-clean SaddleSuede material covers the entire top portion of the seat with a matching strip in center of the Gel Channel (GC)
A matching black suede covers the center strip and places the Gel Channel technology front-and-center as a major styling point
More comfortable than any stock seat on the market, but there’s no question it’s a custom, hand built seat designed to match the characteristics of your specific motorcycle
Driver’s seat height mimics the original seat, but with a wider rear saddle section for comfort plus a specially shaped nose that helps the rider’s feet touch the ground better at stops
In most cases the pitch of the seat’s foam is revised to eliminate the rider from being forced into the fuel tank while riding
Slightly bucketed in the rear section to contour to the rider’s body for better control during aggressive riding
Each SPORT seat is supplied with a pillion cover you can install on your bike’s passenger seat that matches your new front seat
Easy to install, bolts to your bike just like the stock seat
Even easier to keep clean, water wipes away from center GEL channel: dries in minutes
Custom colors and other modifications available, just contact Saddlemen
Note: Image is for reference only, actual seat may vary slightly.
not sure if its any lower.
great comfortable seat. i bought this for my girlfriends cbr250r hoping (the low version) would help her feet reach the ground a little bit better.. we arent sure if this is acheived.
much more comfortable than the stock seat though.
Instalation required a bit of creative thought.. but it worked in the end.

I don't know....I just don't know. On the one hand, I'm glad I spent the money to get a seat that takes the pressure off the...you know. On the other hand, I don't think it's more comfortable. In fact, I think this was a lot of money to spend for a seat, and I would have liked to have been able to really FEEL the difference. I just don't know whether this was worth the $$$. Fit and finish is very good. My version (for 2013 CBR 250R) came with a matching cover for the pillion seat. Haven't installed it, but it's high quality. The seat's center channel is well made, deep enough and shaped well enough to relieve the various pressures...but I just thought the gel would be more comfortable. It's not...although it's no less comfortable than the stock seat, either. To be fair, nobody promised a more comfortable seat...only a seat with a center channel. I got that, and hopefully my nether-regions are all the better for it. You can't have everything, and maybe this is a very selfish, uber-consumer thing to say, but I'd have liked to really feel a little more difference, given the money I spent.

Ken B:i bought the saddlemen gel-channel for my triumph daytona 675r there was no low version offered but i can say the seat is high quality and much more comfortable than my stock seat the only issue i had was that none of the rubber snubers came with the new seat had to take them off the old one. Hope this helps.ride safe!Nov 8, 2013
Charles B:My seat is on a Yamaha FJR 1300…2005. Mine is a rider passenger one piece model. I am 5'10" tall with a 30 inseam. I'm 220 #, so I'm a bit overweight. Lowering the seat height wasn't my objective in buying the seat but is is a 'bit' lower…no specific objective measurement has been made by me. I just went out and sat on it and my legs are slightly bent,5-10 degrees, with my feet absolutely flat on the ground and very comfortable. There is nice support for my buttox posteriorly and less bulk between my legs with good ischial tuberosity support. I like it and it does lower things nicely. I could do a 500 mile day on it without issue. It looks kinda cool too!Oct 29, 2013
Bret W:I ended up buying the gel channel sport for my 2003 Hayabusa and I love it. Way more comfortable that the stock. The channel relieves the pressure that can cause numbness and pain and you are able to comfortably ride for much longer distances.May 23, 2014
Joseph R:I currently have the gel-channel sport and it is a lot more comfortable than the stock seat. The biggest downside is that it is not waterproof. If I could do it again I would choose the Chicane seat. A friend has one and it seats great as well but doesnt get wet. It is an all leather version with all the comfort. May 23, 2014
