Saddlemen Dominator Solo Seat For Harley Touring 2008-2015
Most comfortable seat I've had in 25 years
I only have 300 miles on it but I can tell it will be great for the typical 300 mile backroad day trip, and the long haul, 750 mile day on the slab. It does raise me up about an inch on my Street Glide. At 5'11" I'm fine with it.
The comfort channel works well for taking pressure off the tail bone and spine with backrest installed. The backrest has 3 height positions, and a thumb screw for fine tuning the angle. Great dispersion of pressure on the back - no hot spots like my C&C seat backrest.
My SG is a CVO with carbon fiber accents on the inner fairing, tank trim, a/c cover, and derby cover. The carbon fiber weave on this seat blends in like it was custom made.

Massive improvement over stock seat
The seating position is about an inch and a half higher than the stock XL883N seat, so that takes some getting used to. There is also a slight gap between the tank and front of the seat. I feel like the metal tongue on the front could be longer, as it just barely catches in the slot, but it's sturdy enough that it doesn't concern me much. Much more comfortable than stock, I've put a couple thousand miles on it so far. I rode about 200 miles (5 hours) yesterday with no discomfort. I'm looking forward to getting the backrest soon.

Only 500 miles in the seat. This is a reduced reach. The back support without the backrest is great, with the backrest it is exceptional. Only observation is not enough support under legs. Get sore around 2 hrs in the seat. Better than a sore back. I would recommend, but need to develop some iron butt

Winter purchase, so not installed yet.
The seat arrived very quickly. Finish is excellent and it's a really good looking seat. Not untraditional but it won't look like everyone else's Street Global de seat either. My bike is in the shop for some winter work. I can't wait to install this baby.

Best back support
I bought this back rest to go along with Saddlemen's Dominator Seat. It gives me full back support that is especially important for long rides. Does not dig in to your back, the pad swivels to conform to your back. It is well made and goes on and off in about 2 seconds. Nice addition is the added pouch built into the back of the pad. Also is the fact that you can fold it down to make it easier to get on and off the bike.

I think I like it
I only have a little over 300 miles on it and it takes more then that for the seat to fully break in. With that being said, the seat is medium to hard in firmness, a little softer then competitors but not much. The seat is small. It locks you right in and if you are under 160 lbs or so I think it would be the perfect seat. I like the style, it's very comfortable so far. (get a little butt fatigue at around 120 miles. But with a 10 to 15 min. break I recover quickly). The seat is very well made, however I think they could have put a small bend on the front tab as it is a little difficult to put on. Once the seat is on, it is an excellent fit on my 2012 Fat Boy Lo. I see no difference in the seat hight vs stock, maybe a little closer to the bars, not really noticeable. So, in conclusion, I think I like it as far as comfort goes but will have to go on longer trips to really find out for sure, and I love it for fit and style.

Nice Seat, Better for smaller/shorter people
Nice seat, do not recommend if your over 6' and over 300lbs. The internal backrest bracket cuts into your back. I simply uncovered the seat and removed it. Problem solved!! The gel pads are great for your butt!!

wanted a better seat than i had - wanted to try a saddlemen because of the reputation they have for a good long ride seat-
they hit this out of the park - keeps you in the saddle tight,no sliding around - the design does a nice job of keeping away the fanny fatigue i was getting before -cant wait to find a back rest-even without the seat still has nice back support-
i did move me forward a bit- dont have any issues with that
