Saddlemen Adventure Track Seat forYamaha Super Tenere
The Saddlemen Adventure Track Seat is a hybrid seat design that combines Saddlemen's exclusive elements of a GEL comfort layer and progressive density foam with a GEL-Channel design to provide Adventure and Dual Sport riders with unparalleled comfort and control. Rugged marine-grade synthetic suede resists the elements while providing the proper balance of grip and comfort under the rider's posterior.
The pillion section is covered with high-tech gripper material to help hold cargo in place and is shaped to match the rear rack's height for simplified cargo packing. Integrated bag or cargo mounting points on the pillion match Saddlemen Adventure PACK bags or use them to secure your own load.
Hybrid seat design combines SaddleGel interior, progressive density foam and a Gel Channel saddle to provide Adventure and Dual Sport riders with unparalleled comfort and control
Saddlemen’s Gel Channel (GC) technology (patent pending) seats incorporate a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure on the perineal area, increase blood flow, thus keeping the rider in the saddle longer
Gel Channel seats offer high quality, durable construction and styling that’s as unique as it is functional
The vinyl and rugged micro-fiber suede cover holds up to hard use while providing a superb blend of comfort and control (certain models feature a rugged gripper style cover)
Some seat applications, such as mid-sized Dual Sport motorcycles, have a standard foam design (no GC) with a gripper and vinyl cover better suited to rigorous riding
Integrated bag/cargo mounting points on the pillion portion of the Adventure-class seat sets make it easy to attach Saddlemen’s Adventure PACK luggage or other cargo
Most mid-sized Dual Sport applications also include a luggage/cargo mounting strap set that installs or removes in seconds from the seat
A solo rider-seat, rather than a full two-piece set, is available in some applications
Most seats are also available in low-profile designs
Note: Image is for reference only, actual seat may vary slightly.
Saddlemen Soggybottom seat
I got this seat as a gift. I used it - and cannot return it. I would return it in a heartbeat if I could.
The first time I used it - I rode about 700 miles of highway - then 150 miles of forestry roads and dirt - then back the 700 miles trek.
The seat is good on the highway, though it is really hard to mount. In fact once I took off and replaced it, but it was not fastened correctly and shifted while I was riding. Shame on me - but I am not an idiot ...this is seriously hard to mount (easy when solo - hard when in conjunction with pilon).
The worst is the fabric. Imagine a seat that is made out of sham-wow. The first time I stood up and rode through a large puddle at some speed, I sat down onto the Soggybottom seat. It was soggy for the rest of the day and even the following morning (it was maybe 40 F overnight - so super cold). It made the rest of the day miserable.
Whomever is responsible for the materials selected in the cover of this seat should be immediately relieved of that responsibility. It looks a bit like suede. It is nice looking. It could not be more impractical for an adventure bike.
At present - I think I am going to try to get the seat recovered with a water-resistant membrane. This seat is too expensive to throw away - and too useless to leave as is.
Avoid this seat.
Poor ease of install
Good performance on road - offset by poor performance off road when wet.

This is not a finished product
I did buy this seat after review from the web. After 12,000miles, I'm quite disappointed to the point that I might rework the seat myself during the winter months. THe main issues are:
1) Seat does not lock easily and securely. I have to really force it in place to have it locked. And even that, it unlock itself on two occasions.
2) The shape of the seat does not answer to down slope that push you down and against the fuel tank. It is better than OEM seat but still not good.
3) The material, when it rain is acting like a sponge and stay wet for long hours, even when it did stop raining. Material does not age very well either.
4) When it rain, the central channel is a wonderful pond to raise fish.
Therefore, you are better saving that money and have the original seat re-worked.

XTZ1200 Nice seat
I only use the front seat because everyone makes the passenger seat higher and I like to move back and forth. The seat is comfortable and for me it is a keeper. I am happy and that is what counts in my book. RIDE SAFE

Saddlemen adventure track seat Yamaha super tenere
The seat is more comfortable than stock, for sure! Just wish the front seat was made from a different material. Washed the bike and the front seat took 30 to 45 minutes to dry after wiping with a towel. D rings on the back seat really come in handy! I only have about 400 miles on the seat.
