Saddlemen Adventure Track Seat for BMW F650GS / G650GS
The Saddlemen Adventure Track Seat is a hybrid seat design that combines Saddlemen's exclusive elements of a GEL comfort layer and progressive density foam with a GEL-Channel design to provide Adventure and Dual Sport riders with unparalleled comfort and control. Rugged marine-grade synthetic suede resists the elements while providing the proper balance of grip and comfort under the rider's posterior.
The pillion section is covered with high-tech gripper material to help hold cargo in place and is shaped to match the rear rack's height for simplified cargo packing. Integrated bag or cargo mounting points on the pillion match Saddlemen Adventure PACK bags or use them to secure your own load.
Hybrid seat design combines SaddleGel interior, progressive density foam and a Gel Channel saddle to provide Adventure and Dual Sport riders with unparalleled comfort and control
Saddlemen’s Gel Channel (GC) technology (patent pending) seats incorporate a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure on the perineal area, increase blood flow, thus keeping the rider in the saddle longer
Gel Channel seats offer high quality, durable construction and styling that’s as unique as it is functional
The vinyl and rugged micro-fiber suede cover holds up to hard use while providing a superb blend of comfort and control (certain models feature a rugged gripper style cover)
Some seat applications, such as mid-sized Dual Sport motorcycles, have a standard foam design (no GC) with a gripper and vinyl cover better suited to rigorous riding
Integrated bag/cargo mounting points on the pillion portion of the Adventure-class seat sets make it easy to attach Saddlemen’s Adventure PACK luggage or other cargo
Most mid-sized Dual Sport applications also include a luggage/cargo mounting strap set that installs or removes in seconds from the seat
A solo rider-seat, rather than a full two-piece set, is available in some applications
Most seats are also available in low-profile designs
Note: Image is for reference only, actual seat may vary slightly.
1st impressions ...
This is a very nice upgrade. The quality and workmanship are really quite nice.
I did about 750 miles this weekend. A combination of city and country. The first 5 hours of each day were great, but let's face it, you're gonna hurt after 8 hours on any saddle. It is a bit taller that the stock seat and may take some getting used to. I put 13,000 miles on my stock seat and had become accustomed to that seat height. While and extra 1.5 inches isn't a big deal at speed it can be problematic during stops and low speed maneuvers. I'm 5'10" tall with a 30" inseam.
It's a bit pricey, but all seat upgrades are. If I could trade for the low version I probably would. I'll make it work for now.

Should come stock with a Saddlemen!
With an upcoming 2500 mile trip in the Spring, I knew it wasn't going to be possible on the stock seat. I could barely make it 20 miles before my tailbone was sore to the point that I couldn't sit down on the stock seat. After having read the great reviews of the Saddlemen, I decided I would give it a try. This seat is WONDERFUL. It has completely relieved the pressure to the tailbone & provides a much softer and square seat position when compared to stock. My only complaint would be the higher seat position. I purchased the low-seat option and with that, it's still about 3/4" - 1" taller than stock still. I've heard it will settle down a bit, but I haven't noticed anything yet. The higher position put me just barely over the top of my GIVI windscreen, but I will gladly take the wind from the raised seat height over the hard stock seat.
If you are considering this seat, stop considering & hit the ADD TO CART button right now! I would have no hesitation & no regrets recommending this seat. I am very pleased with mine. This was fitted on my '13 G650GS.

This seat is just a little more comfortable than the stock seat. However it is substantially taller than the stock seat. I purchased the bike I did,(BMW G650GS) because of the low seat height. This seat cancels that out. Other than that it's a high quality comfortable seat. I guess I would recommend the seat to others if seat height wasn't an issue, plus the fact that you don't have to send in your stock seat and have it modified.

Great Seat for the Sertao
The Saddlemen Adventure seat is a great replacement for the stock BMW 650 Seat. It is slightly taller than stock but literature included with the seat indicates that it will settle/break in from .5" to 1" within a few hundred miles. It has handy attachment points on the sides of the pillion area for attaching straps or bungees. My first ride with it was 250 miles of mixed pavement and dirt roads/trails. The seat was very comfortable to the point where i didn't think about it, I just rode. The pillion area is also much improved. This is one of the best improvements you can make to the BMW 650 GS. The Revzilla service was great as usual.

Jon L:The lower version should help you, but I have the standard so I don't know for sure. I honestly lost about 3/4 of an inch with the standard version and am now on my tip toes when stopping. Great seat. Super comfy. Just wish it was lthe same height as the old one. For sure go with the lower version. It wasn't in stock anywhere when I ordered it or I would have. Hope this helps you. Paul O:I replace the standard height seat off of my 2014 GS650GS Sertao, with the Saddleman Adventure seat, it added an 1.5 inches if seat height, which is fine, because the standard seat was too low. The Saddleman, is much more confortable than the stock seat, and higher quality. The channel is huge improvement, takes all the pressure off of the tail and other bits.Jul 23, 2014
Gary L:No. The standard seat height is taller than the standard stock seat. I think, but don't know, that the low seat is the same height as the original seat. I do like the seat, ????. Call Saddlemen and ask them. Good luck.Jul 23, 2014
Thanks Christie, I'm currently riding my g650 gs with stock seat and stock height, this seat won't get me closer even if I purchase the lower model? Thanks again for your advice
