Saddlemen Adventure Tour Seat for Triumph Tiger 800 / XC

Saddlemen Adventure Tour Seats are a specialized seat family that was developed for Adventure riders who want to rack up big miles in comfort. Constructed of durable marine grade vinyl and bright accent stitching with a supple upper-foam layer produces a seat that is as effective as it is stylish. The combination of the GEL comfort layer and progressive density foam with a GEL-Channel design cover provides riders with the support and peroneal nerve relief needed for long saddle time.

  • Hybrid seat design combines SaddleGel interior, progressive density foam and a Gel Channel-design cover to provide Adventure Touring riders with unparalleled comfort and control
  • Seats using Saddlemen’s Gel Channel (GC) technology have a center channel that relieves seating pressure on the perineal area, increase blood flow, and thus keeping the rider comfortable in the saddle for longer time
  • Using a very large GEL pad for additional foam support and vibration damping, these seats offer the ultimate comfort available for a Travel Enduro
  • Each high quality seat has durable construction and styling that is as unique as it is functional
  • Some mid-sized applications feature a non-GC, smooth-top saddle to maximize comfort as compared to the original, narrow seat
  • The rugged carbon-fiber look weave and smooth vinyl cover holds up to hard use and still retains its good looks
  • Each seats’ covers are designed and stitched to match Saddlemen’s highly functional Adventure PACK luggage family
  • Every cover is constructed with durable, marine-grade vinyl that resists water and cold-cracking
  • Integrated bag/cargo mounting points on the pillion portion of the Adventure-class seat sets make it easy to attach Saddlemen’s Adventure PACK luggage or other cargo
  • Some mid-sized applications also include a luggage/cargo mounting strap set that installs or removes in seconds from the seat
  • Designed and built in the U.S.A.

WAAAAAY better than the stock seat I ride on roads, not trails. The stock seat was awful. 30 minutes into my ride and I was uncomfortable. This one? Awesome! Bigger seating area makes me feel more in control, seriously. No clue why, but this makes me feel much more connected to the bike, vs. hanging on. Also, I ride with Dainese Hard Shorts E1, which probably causes some discomfort...but this seat fixed that problem. My longest ride is now 4 hours, and I am still comfortable. If $400 is too expensive, then you need a cheaper hobby. :) August 31, 2015
Much more comfortable than the stock seat I purchased this seat with the intention of making my tiger more comfortable over long distance rides. I installed the seat in under five minutes. The seat is slightly pitched rearward so you don't continue to slide towards the tank while riding like you would with the stock seat. I also noticed it's slightly higher so my legs are at a more comfortable angle when rested on the foot pegs. I have ridden about 1000 miles so far and have no complaints. The metrical seem to be holding up well and is not effected by long exposure to sunlight. I would highly recommend this seat! August 17, 2015
A lot of $$ but much nicer ride! I can ride a couple hrs now with going into hot spot on the butt mode,I DO WISH it had a higher setting bar built in like the stock seat its a little low for me 6' 3" 35 in inseams GOOD LOOKING SEAT ALSO! June 1, 2015
excellent fit, finish and comfort Bought this to replace the stock tailbone crusher that came on my 800 XC, this seat is WAY more comfortable for both rider and passenger. The finish is excellent, from the stitching down to the padding. I originally thought this was pricey for a motorcycle seat but once I received it I was impressed and feel my money was well spent. I have not had the seat for very long hence the good rating on durability, but I have confidence that this purchase will please me for many years to come. I bought the standard height seat, I am 6' and have a 34" inseam, I have no trouble flat footing the bike on level ground but anything off level is a bit tricky, I would recommend the low height if you are shorter or have short legs. The seat itself cradles your cheeks and has you in a neutral position rather than having pressure right on your tailbone and tilting you forward pushing you into the tank like the stock seat, the passenger seat sits a little higher than stock and has more cushion, I no longer adjust myself constantly trying to get comfortable and my passenger is happy with the ride as well. RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Martin G: I recently purchased a Sargent seat and was not happy with the fitment or the value. I am trying this seat. Apr 23, 2015
Timothy P asked: So is the Tour seat more comfortable than the Track seat ? Other than no channel down the middle, I don't see any differences. I want the more comfortable one of the two. I use an airhawk now, which is a big help, but it doesn't cut it for long days in the saddle. The Track seat is in stock right now. Should I wait and get the Tour seat when it comes back in stock? Blaise G: Couldn't say which is more comfortable. A couple things to consider though-- the tour does have the channel, it's covered bit it's there. The covering on the track will absorb and hold water longer than the tour, probably harder to clean especially ground in dirt/dust as well. . The vinyl covering on the Tour gets hot/retains heat in the sun, consider covering it while parked.

Pretty sure they are the same seat just with different coverings so it boils down to aesthetics in addition to the above.
