Rox 2 Pivot Risers for 1 1/8 Handlebars 4.8 5 79 79
reduce arm and shoulder fatigue This summer I began spending more time on gravel roads on my GS and found that the stock riser positioned the bars too low for comfort while standing on the pegs. Problem solved with Rox risers. Bonus benefit I found was more comfortable seated cruising on long highway stretches by being able to bring the bars down and closer. Only downside is that there is not much clearance between OEM riser and Rox riser bolts at my preferred adjustments. Had to buy a low-profile E-torx wrench to fit into tight space to tighten Rox bolts. October 31, 2015
Ultimate versatility! Rox risers do two jobs with one product. Most riders want more than simply higher bars--they want the ability to both raise the bars and also move them back or forward as fits their needs. Rox risers do that with a very well made, solid product that offers ultimate versatility in the positioning of bike handlebars. I have used Rox risers on several bikes now and they have always produced the end result I was looking for--the only limitation being the available cable length of the bike's brake lines, clutch cable and electrical cabling to the hand-grips. Rox risers are excellent in every regard and I highly recommend them. October 26, 2015
great product these are a high quality addition to my build. I added drag bars to my bike and wanted the same height to them. I picked up these two inch risers and they are frickin awesome. The look the install, everything was perfect. October 19, 2015
Does what it said it would do. The risers brought my grips up for a more comfortable standing position. September 14, 2015
Great improvement to bike ergonomics Very well machined & provides wide range of adjustment. Expensive, but definitely worth it. Check YouTube for installation video to save some time. September 14, 2015
This product does exactly what it was designed to do! The bar risers were easy to install and only required minimal cable adjustments and as advertised, the stock brake line did not have to be changed. A great modification for taller riders who like to stand at times. The finish and machine work of the parts are "top notch". September 7, 2015
Works as advertised Not hard to put on my 2012 GS 1200. I did have to reroute the throttle cable and loosen up the clutch and brakes and move the clamps toward the center of the bars. Overall not hard. Tightening up the bolts took a little experimentation as you don't have access to them all once the risers are in the correct spot, but that is not a problem. August 31, 2015
need just a little bit I am short, 5' 7". I just do not fit most bikes, this was a very good and cheap option to allow some more comfort to a great bike. August 3, 2015

Laurie N: I saw them recommended on a Tiger 800 forum. I am fairly short and need to be able to sit more upright on the bike. Feb 22, 2014

Marshall W: Best price I could find and then add in free shipping, best deal out there. Now if they fit and do what the site says I will be very happy. Jan 19, 2014

Thank you

Kurt S: I recently purchased a Sargent seat for my tiger 800xc. The seat allows me to sit further back than the stock seat comfortably. This new seating arrangement leaves me stretching for the bars a considerable amount. In all honesty I don't feel the 2" will be enough, however given the selection of other risers it will have to do. If it doesn't work I may actually purchase another set which will give me more freedom arranging where the handlebars are situated and let me sit upright. Oct 6, 2013
Jim B: I purchased a set for my KLR and love the adjustability. Now I'm customizing my new 2001 KTM 400 EXC! Sep 19, 2013

Mark B: Needed to stand up on some off road trails and the stock bars are just to low on the Tiger xc800. They do the job but are a bit goofy looking. Sep 3, 2013

Christopher J asked: What is the thread pattern in the part that fits the original clamps? Will this fit a RAM ball ? Sep 12, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Robert G: Christopher,

I'm not sure what the thread size is for the 4 - Allen head screws that come with the Rox Risers, they use a 6mm Allen wrench. The only RAM balls I have used were fitted for a U-bolt mount, so I don't have a RAM ball thread to compare it to. Even if they were the same size, I'm not sure I would want to trust a RAM ball thread to clamp handlebars in place.

I have a RAM ball mounted with U-bolt right next to my Rox Risers, may not be quite as sano as what you apparently have in mind, but I'm confident with my handlebar mounts! Sorry I can't be of more help.

Christopher J: Thanks, but I'm looking for the size of the "extra" hole in the risers. NOT one that is used to clamp. The pictures show, and my last riser had, a single hole drilled in the stub the goes in place of the original handlebar. When installed and everything is tight, there are two small threaded holes, one in each side, facing each other. That is the info I want. Sep 12, 2015

Jonathan B: I just checked mine, and the threads on the Rox riser is m8. The socket cap screw has a 13mm shoulder that is about 8mm deep, so you would have to account for that as well.

From what I can tell, the threads on a RAM ball are m10.

Christopher J: I asked Rox. Their response: The ram ball will fit there, that's one of the things we thought of when we put that hole in there. The thread is M8 x 1.25. - Ryan Jensen, Rox Speed FX. Sep 14, 2015

Richard C: Yes they fit, just check all cables and wiring with bars fully turned both ways. you might have to loosen up the cable ties for more slack. Sep 30, 2015

A shopper asked: Will these risers fit a 2013 BMW R1200R? Also are brake and clutch cables long enough? Jun 23, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Kenneth S: I don't know about the 1200R, but on the 800 GS I had to reverse the front brake line to make it work, tip found on advrider , you may want to check there and see if anyone has bought them for a 1200R. Jun 23, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Mark B: They worked well for me. A bit of a pain to get them straight but have no problem since installing them. There is no way I could stand on the bike with the handle bars in the stock position. I have actually ridden over mountain passes with them and standing is necessary. Apr 21, 2015
Reply to Mark Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Chuck P: We installed these on a 2011 Tiger 800. As long as the handlebar diameter has not been changed, you should have a nice fit. Remember to use blue thread lock. Apr 21, 2015

Surya G asked: What is the finish on the black and the machined aluminum risers - matte, satin or shiny? Trying to match to the stock steel clamps on my 2005 speed triple 1050, or the matte black bars. I have an sw-motech riser that is a mis-match, looks like the clear anodized finish above. Dec 28, 2014

Guylain R: Hi Surya. Mine are the finished aluminum ones and they are indeed on the shiny side, certainly shinier than the stock satin ones on my R1200GSA. Dec 30, 2014

Rob B asked: Which finish matches the 2012 BMW R1200GSA handlebar finish the best? It looks like maybe the clear anodized ones are the closest, but I'm not sure. Sep 5, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Michael H: The clear anodized risers (at least the ones I have) have a machined finish -- in other words, they're not deeply polished, so you can still see the machine marks the CNC machine left. I like it that way personally...dunno if they'll match *any* handlebar finish exactly. Sep 6, 2015

A shopper asked: Will this fit my bike? (assuming cable length is ok) - - I have 2012 triumph speed triple..
Do you have to tilt thru risers front and back to gain access to Allen screws? How do you tighten the new riser ? The threaded hole in the center of the male stem that rests in the old risers? Thanks dan

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Gerald B: Not sure about fitting your speedy but as far as tightening the Allen screws I just snug the rear bolts on the original clamps and adjust the bars to my liking and then tighten the front bolts to spec. This is how I did it on a 2011 Tiger 800. Jul 26, 2014

Chris KStaff: This is a universal part designed to fit with any bikes that use 1 1/8ths inch handlebars. Unfortunately, I can't confirm fitment with non-stock parts, but as long as your clutch and brake cables have enough slack there shouldn't be any major alterations required for install. Aug 8, 2013
