RotopaX One Gallon Gasoline Pack With Deluxe Mount Set

RotopaX Packs are rotationally molded for superior strength and a leak-proof design that puts to shame traditional blow-molded carriers. RotopaX have solid thick walls and extra threads with a sure-seal gasket, guaranteeing it will not leak or vibrate loose. The rotational molded design strengthens construction and is made from colorfast materials, so they’re less prone to fading or wearing out. The RotopaX packs feel solid, like you could run them over with a truck and they wouldn’t leak a drop.

RotopaX also attach to a wide array of OEM and after-market mounting brackets, and utilize their own RotopaX mounts for a tight and secure attachment wherever you decide to mount them. The unique design of the packs and the mounts allows them to be stacked on top of the other for a lockable secure fit, even in the bumpiest of conditions.

Features:

  • Gasoline Pack: ECO Spout turns around and stores inside of the gas pack and does not allow fuel to dispense until light pressure is applied against the tank being filled
  • Rotationally molded for increased strength and colorfast, leak-proof use
  • Solid thick walls and extra threads with a sure-seal gasket guarantee it will not leak or vibrate loose
  • Exclusive modular system design allows for flexible customization between multiple packs
  • Attaches to OEM and after-market mounting brackets
  • Utilizes own RotopaX mounting system for a lockable, stackable, secure mount of multiple packs

Includes:

  • One RotopaX 1 Gallon Gasoline Pack
  • 1 RotopaX Deluxe Pack Mount

Dimensions:

  • 1 Gallon - 9.5"L x 13.5"W x 3"H

Pricy, but worth it
I'd been looking for a 1-2 gallon gas can to carry on my 1150GS for a while, as there's some stretches up North that get to be fairly sparse on gas stations. After reading every review I could find and meticulously counting my pennies, I ordered the RotopaX with the deluxe mount set. RevZilla's offering was a superb price, and as always, shipping was lightning-quick.

Install was fairly simple, but it definitely took some consideration and measuring. I was rather reluctant to drill holes in my Happy Trails panniers, but after marking and remarking, I ended up drilling and mounting on the right pannier (I keep a water jug mounted on the front of the left). After holes were drilled, mounting was simple, and the mount is a super solid, rugged design.

As for construction, I'm quite impressed. The mount is rock-solid, and I'm quite glad I chose the deluxe option, as it's super simple to use, very secure, and puts less stress on the gas can when locking down. The gas can itself is super sturdy, made of extra-thick plastic and really being of superb construction. Filling it up, it holds just over a gallon as well, making it fairly true to advertised size. I'm quite satisfied with the nozzle as well, being very easy to use, of rugged construction, and leak-free.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase. I was leery spending much money on a gas can, and although they're fairly pricy, the quality, ingenuity, and durability are definitely worth the extra cost.

Fuel Cell
I purchased the gas can and bracket for my Honda 250 Enduro. The rack is oval shaped on my bike, so I had to fabricate my own mount bracket.

I ride in the desert's of AZ and didn't want to change to a aftermarket gas tank for my bike. The RotopaX gives me the flexibility to carry more fuel.
I needed the ability to carry additional fuel while riding in the desert, without having to change out the stock tank. The RotopaX gives me the flexibility to carry extra fuel and the peace of mind of not running out of gas in the middle of nowhere. The mounting system is secure and was simple to install.

Bullet Proof
Went with the deluxe mount Rotopax - getting ready for a motorcycle trip to Alaska and will need the fuel "spare." The mounting hardware was very easy to install (many mounting options) and the Rotopax is very secure. This will work nicely. Shipping, as always, was outstanding with Revzilla. Thanks!

Great
An excellent way to carry a lot of extra fuel. I typically use Wolfman fuel cans with holsters, but I needed even more range for my latest ADV trip. Mounted this on my WR250R rack and it it very solid. Took me 5 minutes to install (my rack had pre-drilled holes to accommodate the RotopaX mount). Once the fuel can is on, it is incredibly secure. Easy to fill, and the pour spout is no more difficult than any other gas can.

Awesome product
I have used RotopaX products before, this was additional packs to have extra gas on more ATV's. They are fantastic and will not break or leak no matter how hot or cold they get or the abuse they take.

Fits my need
Received the item fast from Reveille as always. I mounted it on my on the left on the inside of my rack. It seemed that they were made to go together. The mount holds the 1 gallon canister with ease. I mounted it just before a 1000 mile trip, the can never leaked or came loose. The spout takes some getting used to, got to unlock, pull turn and hold it down while pouring. Even with that, when I emptied it into my tank I didn't spill any. This is a great product and it doesn't disappoint.

Great product, durable and easy to install. The pouring system (spring loaded spout) sucks.

Why did you choose this?
RevZilla Store
Been out on my Tiger 800 in the mountains and the Mojave desert and started to get low on gas, wasn't a good feeling. I needed something for peace of mind and to get me an extra 40-50 miles. I have the Happy Trails panniers and racks and mounted it on the inside of the left rack, perfect fit and does not interfere with the bike at all. Good product, I'll probably get a set up for my Jeep.

solid construction! I drug this around a few corners before i had a chance to remount it in a better place, the mount didnt bend and the can only had minor surface damage, no leaks. very impressed.

I currently have another brand fuel cells on my ATV and one of the two started leaking on the seam. I have buddies with the RotopaX brand and they love them. I also LOVE the delux mount....no more loose tank! Can't wait to get these on the trail!

Purchased this to gas pack set to mount onto a SW-MOTECH Rear Rack for a Honda XR650L. I did not want to purchase a bigger gas tank for my dual sport. This was a great compromise for me.
GC on Jun 6, 2015
Went back and forth on this. It was either replace my DRZ's gas tank or carry spare gas. I opted for the spare tank. Even if I swap out my DRZ's tank in the future, it will always be nice to have some back up.

2012 Super Tenere With Altrider crash bars , will RotopaX Deluxe Pack Mount to the crash bars ?
Stacy G on Jan 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Stacy, mine was attached to the rear rack of my KLX. I would think that if there is room and the correct mounting hardware, it should work great. I love mine, but the pour spout is a pain, so I carry a funnel... Peace.
Hi:
I usually do long rides and the rotopax seems perfect but I really have no idea how to mount it to my bike!

Do you have some sort if guide or manual?

I'm ridding a 2007 V Star 650

Thanks a lot
Ricardo R on Nov 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hallo,
I mounted it on the luggage rack on my 08 XR659R and used on a trip in Utah.
From RevZilla I bought Deluxe Mount Set and from local hardware store i bought a little metal plate, on which I made holes and shaped, and longer screws. There are no guide or manual really, so you need to use common sense and be little handy.
Good luck and ride safe.
How would I mount this on my CB500F?
bschmidt on Sep 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: On the back rack or if you have a panniers and there's room, you could on the inside or to the outside of the luggage.
What is the distance between the center of the bolt holes? I recently purchased a 2012 KLR that has side mounts with a plate that has two bolt holes spaced 2.5". I'm wondering if the RotopaX bolting holes will line up. It just seems odd to me that I can't find a bolting diagram for the RotopaX mount anywhere.
Ryan Z on Jun 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Here's the deal, I mounted mine on the rear rack with no problems. However, you can always drill holes to make it work. Rotopax makes a great product, but the pour spout situation sucks... I carried a funnel.
