Worth The $$$ If I was going to spend crazy $$$ on a jacket, I am seeing it in person. I'm from Northern NJ but I went to Revzilla's store & spent practically the afternoon there until I got it right. Massive thanks to Joanne D for getting me the right Ronin!!! The Ronins are actually all different inside so be careful. We had to go through 3 or 4 tobbaco jackets until we found the insides where the armor goes were finally stitched in the correct spots. Alot of them were incorrectly stitched, the armor was protecting my triceps! They have a great store & awesome staff & I recommend going there if you get a chance, it's unlike any competitor's stores. I bought the Large with all the armor = I'm 6'1'' 188lbs with 43'' chest & 36" waist. It felt a little short on the sleeves, but gauntlets and even short gloves line up just right where the sleeves end. It's also very tight, but it's been 1 1/2 months now & about 20 rides later it's comfortable. I overdid layering on purpose so it would stretch out, and extra layers really work to make it expand permanently to your comfort. I'm 99% positive I could of gotten away with an XL, cuz the sleeves felt so nice & long, chest was comfortable, but then there would be too much leather down in the gut and upper arm flapping at high speeds. I think it's probably unnoticeable to others but that's the trade off if you go bigger. April 14, 2014
A great looking jacket I am just over 6 foot tall, chest 41", waist 37" and weigh 172 lbs. For dress shirts I typically wear size 15 ½ or 16. I was advised to order a medium Ronin and as I prefer a reasonably tight fit on a riding jacket I did. For my size medium is a tight fit even without the Forcefield armor kit installed. The leather quality seems good and the feel and look is just great. Very happy with that. Some of the stitching around the little pocket on the right hand sleeve is beginning to come apart and so is a seam on the inside of the neck. Nothing serious but I've only had it for three weeks and only wore it off the bike. For me this is a great looking jacket that offers reasonable protection for relaxed cruising but nothing more. When I want to go a little faster I get my other jacket. But all in all i'ts a keeper. It's a nice jacket off the bike too. April 11, 2014
Don't spend the money unless you don't want to ride with it! If they have the balls to charge the amount of money they are asking for this jacket, they had better figure out how to produce it better. Don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous. However, if you ride from bar to bar and don't actually spend hundreds of miles on your bike than this is your poser coat. Out of the box it lacks the attention to detail that a supposed famed motorcycle builder should have to produce a reliable product. I got the jacket through Motorcycle Superstore after a conversation with a Roland Sands representative. She told me the jacket was out of stock and that it was mass produced and I would be able to find it through other avenues. She was right on both parts. I found it in other markets and its quality showed that it was mass produced with little regard for quality. Torn pocket interiors, missing buttons made this the biggest purchase mistake in 2014. If this piece had proven a good investment, I was immediately going to turn around and purchase at least one more piece this season; may be more. Subsequently, I am sending it back. I have ordered and loved many high quality custom leather jackets from other small producers around the country with the highest quality for less cost. Mr. Sands has over extended himself and if he sells motorcycles with the same hap hazard intent as his gear, his fall will be as fast as his rise! April 8, 2014
Nice jacket, style is just right Small pockets, but then who wants to carry a bunch of junk in their leathers. Comfortable snug fit. Feels just right on or off the bike. Worth the money, but I would prefer not to have Roland Sands name on the arm of my jacket. April 8, 2014
Great jacket Love my ronin jacket great quality and great style.sizing is difficult for me as I have a 44 inch chest and I am 5'8" so the large is a little snug in the shoulders but then the sleeves are a little long but as I said always a problem for me. April 7, 2014
My new favorite jacket I love this jacket. I purchased the Tobacco Brown model. I, being of a rather slender build at 5'7", 142 lbs, had hoped for a snug fit, so naturally I ordered the small. My one criticism of this gorgeous jacket is that the sleeves are a bit too roomy for me. Perhaps this says more about my lack of massive muscles than it does about the cut of the leather, but if I could change or alter one aspect, if would be to shrink the sleeve circumference by a couple inches so that it fits nice and tight. Beautiful leather, though. Heavy, and built to last. I'm very pleased with it overall. March 31, 2014
Feeling safe, looking great I bought a large Maven in oxblood about 6 months ago. I am 5'7" / 160 lb. / E-cup bra. The medium might have fit but was tight across the chest so sized up to the large. It was somewhat stiff and tight initially but broke in quickly to be very comfortable. First, the quality: Very high, both in style and construction. The oxblood color in person is really gorgeous and has even deepened somewhat the last few months. When it's become damp, the color did not run at all. Stitching is strong and even and is holding up well to frequent wearing. Pockets are large. The "Chapstick pocket" on the right forearm in particular is deceptively large - I keep a keyfob remote and my bike key in it with plenty of space to spare and never even feel them. I also keep my iPhone quite comfortably in one of the inner pockets while I ride. That still leaves the exterior hand pockets and the right-chest pocket. I never use the chest pocket, except for venting, because that's just not a very convenient place for ladies to be hiding things generally. Speaking of venting... The leather is perforated at the armpit and almost all the way down the inner arms of the jacket. The good news is that the venting has kept me comfortable in temperatures up to 90 degrees so far. The bad news is that Texas, like most of the country this year, had an unusually cold winter. I had hoped this jacket would keep me warm, but because it comes with NO liner or any way to attach one it actually can get a little chilly in temps below about 50 degrees at highway speeds. I ended up using a liner from another jacket as a layer a few times, which worked OK but looked rather jerry-rigged. Wearing a thermal layer also helped on other occasions. However, for $600 I feel like I shouldn't have to do that and Roland Sands instead could have included a windbreaker-type liner that could be attached/removed like you often see in much less expensive jackets. I LOVE this jacket but that oversight has proved to be somewhat annoying over the last several chilly months. Roland Sands - please fix this for future iterations of the jacket!! Also, the back could be just ever-so-slightly longer - I get wind down my bum while riding unless I'm wearing high-waisted pants (versus my more stylish lower-cut jeans). As for protection, the armor is light, flexible and comfortable. I use the back and shoulder armor. I skip the elbow armor because it seems to slide around in the pocket too much. The leather is thick and sturdy while still being flexible. TLDR: Gorgeous, well-constructed, well-vented (but with no liner). Size up if you have a large-ish chest. March 28, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Armen A: Nice jacket and quality product. The Side pockets are a little tight to put hands into pockets; otherwise, nice jacket. Also, color is unique and different from the traditional black leather jacket. Mar 29, 2014
