Roland Sands Ronin Dirty Smoke Leather Jacket - Limited Edition
I really wanted to like this jacket. Since I am taller and thinner than most buyers, this jacket didn't do the job. It probably works for the average built guy, but if you have trouble finding clothes that fit well in general, this jacket may not work for you. With a medium, the arms are too short, the chest too big, the jacket length disappointingly short, and the upper arms are WAY too big. I could exchange for a small, but the length in the arms and length of the jacket would be even worse I imagine. Aside from that, I really can't say this jacket is anything special, especially when considering the price. The interior lining feels cheap. Although I understand that every piece of leather is unique, my brown jacket didn't arrive with nearly the shade/shine that you see in the pictures. Much more dull. The upper arms are just laughably ill fitting. You don't see it in the photos. I can't imagine someone wearing this off the bike (non rotated arm position) to be stylish. The zippers get stuck, and the thinness of the lining in conjunction with the stiffness of the leather make it rather uncomfortable. I understand that new leather needs to be broken in, but I've paid 1/3rd the price for a more comfortable wear. Don't be deceived by the pictures, it's too awkward for off-the-bike wear (unless you happen to be built to the exact dimensions of the jacket). Everything considered, I will be returning this jacket disappointed and looking for something higher quality, better fitting, at a better price.

Best Jacket I have
I have four leather jackets with three from Harley. This is by far the best looking and comfortable jacket I own. Revzilla because of its outstanding reviews, pics, videos made the purchase a correct and happy one.

Not for a Moment have I Regretted Spending the $ for the Ronin
Over the past 4 months the Ronins leather is becoming even more unique. A go to jacket with features that make wearing it anywhere a breeze. Placement of inner and outer pockets makes carrying phone, keys, wallet unnoticeable. Dual inner stash pockets for storing caps and gloves. Inside is a tall pocket cleverly located to keep cigars from breaking. Thought and ingenuity of their custom bikes is mirrored in the Ronin. Well done RSD

Awesome Jacket! Worth the little extra to me.
You probably don't need to read another review about the quality and looks. You probably have already decided to get the jacket, but are worried about the sizing. Hopefully, I can help. I'm 6', 170lbs and I bought the L. It fits snug, like this jacket should. Comfortable with all the armour in. Only the back protector is slightly visible. For comparison: I wear M T-shirts, L sweaters, hoodies, and jackets. I also own a Bilt armored hoodie (XXL), RS Tai chi mesh jacket (JPN XL, Euro 50). I've worn the jacket into the 50's with UnderArmour, Long sleeve T, and Mountain Hardwear Mountain Tech (for wind proofing). The fit was tighter, obviously, but comfortable. The jacket breathes well, which is why I need the windproof for the cold, but I'm not sure how it's going to be in the summer.
Just buy the jacket. Fortunately for RSD, there really isn't another jacket that can offer this look (clean and plain) while offering function.

Great leather jacket, careful for sizing
this is my 2nd RSD jacket, I recently bought the Mission jacket in Medium, which by measurements is what I should go by according to the sizing chart, but I think I'm between the med and large sizes. The Mission fits a bit too snug really, the Ronin in Large just a bit looser, so it looks more like a relaxed fit. Overall even without the exhaust vents the Ronin has better air flow and the styling allows for an "around town" jacket more than the Mission with the padding and such.

awesome jacket! great style, comfort and materials. definitely made for riding, nothing flutters or billows even at highway speeds+ with no windscreen. Made in China, I thought this price level would be enough for a US made product, but not this time.

The vintage leather looks great, and the jacket fits very well if slightly large. It's comfortable to ride in as well as just hanging around.

Excellent and stylish jacket.
I bought this jacket along with my new bike a little over 6 months ago now. I spent untold hours researching the jackets on this website looking for one that both matched the vintage styling of my Triumph, provided good protection for the type of riding I do, and looks just as good off of the bike as on it. This, gentlemen, is it.
I've ridden mine through the summer, the fall, rain, and currently run it over my tourmaster heated jacket in weather down to -1 degrees Fahrenheit so far this winter. Now, as far as the jacket goes ideal temperatures are 55-80 degrees. But you can take it lower by wearing something under it, and higher if you're not stuck in traffic all day. The perforations definitely work, but if you wanna ride with it in the cold a jacket liner will help block them.
I'm 5'9", 170 pounds, and ordered the tobacco in Medium. Perfect fit, with enough room to JUST squeeze a liner under it. The tobacco is darker than you expect when you get it, but trust me, with some age and riding, it wears in just the right places and lightens a bit overall giving you a truly one of a kind jacket thats molded to you. Out of the box, it already feels supple and broken in and it just gets better.
Protection wise I wish it came with armor at this price range, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me because I typically don't ride as hard as I could. This is easily the best looking jacket you can buy out there if you're going for this look. Keep in mind however, that this jacket is made for someone with a more slim or athletic build. If you have a gut, the jacket will not look flattering when zipped up. However, if there was ever an excuse to get in shape to look good in something, this is it.
As a side note, it looks great with the tobacco barfly gloves as well. Which I ride with in the spring and summer.
