Roland Sands Clarion Jacket
Tight arm holes/armpits otherwise perfecto.
Cool jacket on or off the bike. The waxed-cotton just looks great and is unique (I got a black one and it's totally Mad Max). Drop in armor if this will be your everyday jacket, but it's heavy and sturdy, no doubt. Roland Sands' sizing is a little wonky in that the "arm holes"/"armpit-area" is tight compared to most other jackets for anyone with an athletic (meaning you've got muscles lol) or semi-muscular build (almost like the XXL and even XXXL get the same sleeves sewed on as an XL), other than that the fit is real nice. I dig that it's a jacket you can rock while just being a normal dude (and you will collect compliments 'cause it looks amazing) and not having to look like that "motorcycle guy" when off the bike. Its got the style for sure, but w/ armor it's the real deal too. Again, the "arm-holes" are tight/small in the larger sizes I've tried, not the whole arms, but that 's what sticks out about the fit...

Had been wanting a jacket for some time that I could wear casually when not riding, and this jacket fits the bill. Bought it on clearance and it was certainty worth the price. The jacket is well made, looks good, feels very durable, and has more pockets than I know what to do with. I wear a L for my shirts but a large in this jacket was too small so I went with an XL. The chest feel great but it a bit snug on the arms with limited range of motion. But I would expect a limited range of motion with any motorcycle jacket.

I got this as a semi rain spring jacket.
when I first opened the package I thought wow quality, come with a cover and hanger, jacket fit good and arm length was good as well.
This will look very nice when on or off the bike.

Good bang for the buck!
I like the jacket but have a coulpe of issues with it that RSD may want to consider in the future. First the shoulder areas of the jacket seem a litte small. Not sure if it is because I have large shoulder but I don't normally have this issue with other jackets. Second, 3/4 jackets should always have double ended zippers. This of course allowes for more confort when riding or driving. Third, There should be an pull cord on the inside of the jacket around the waist to prevent the cold from getting in through the bottome of the jacket, also I miss the little key/cash zipper pocket on the sleeve that their other jackets have. That being said it is an excellent jacket for the sale price.

A great looking everyday jacket, built with a motorcyclist in mind.
I've been looking for gear that looks great off-the-bike, but has all of the comforts of motorcycle gear; I found such a piece in the RSD Clarion.
The jacket is made of medium-heavy waxed cotton, it blocks most wind, fits well, and is comfortable in the tuck, has all sorts of pockets that are designed to hold your stuff while you tear down the freeway, great YKK zips and nice armor pockets. So it's a robust riding jacket, but its list of features continue off-the-bike as well:
The waxed cotton developed a beautiful pattern on my jacket; hopefully it only gets better, the gold lining contrasts nicely with the green/brown of the Ranger colorway, the snaps are nice, and it's cut 4" longer than a modern day moto jacket, so it looks like a coat when unzipped. It's not race leather, but its good for around town or to dinner.
Style wise, since the jacket is longer and split in the back, it might look out of place on a supersport, or anything with bright colored plastic. You could definitely rock this jacket on a vintage Harley with WWII goggles and a silk scarf!
I use the orange Icon D3O elbow and shoulder armor and they fit the pockets very well. The shoulder armor sits on the side of my arm, fully covering my deltoid muscle. It does not cover the top of the shoulder.
Instead of a back protector insert, I wear an Icon Styker Vest (Chest and Spine Armor) and it's very comfortable. (and conspicuous).
If there is anything I don't like about this jacket: the high collar isn't too comfortable with a hoodie underneath, it's not warm enough for winter, or completely wind or waterproof, but for the sale price I would buy it again, and again, and again. Thank you Revzilla!

I've always wanted to try out a Roland Sands jacket, but always held off because of the price tag, so when this went on sale I took the chance. What an unbelievable Jacket in form, function, and overall style. First of all lets start with the way it was shipped - it came on a roland sands hanger, wood, and wrapped in a protective bag, really gives the feeling of quality from the moment you unwrap it. I threw the jacket on over a fairly thick sweatshirt right off the bat to see how it fit. With the sweatshirt on the jacket was definitely a tad on the tight side, do-able if i needed the extra layer, but on the snug side. After I took the sweatshirt off though, it fit fantastic. I'm 5'10" 180 pounds and this jacket fits perfectly. the sleeves, when zipped all the way closed, fit nicely around my wrist with room for my watch to move in and out of the sleeve. The body of the jacket is very comfortable and leaves room to access the pockets on the inside of the jacket. Speaking of pockets; the pocket on the outside chest and outside arm are more for looks than function as they are very small, at first i was disappointed, but then I used the pockets on the inside and I completely changed my tune. The pockets on the inside are large mesh like pockets that will easily hold a hat, a phone, or even a tablet in my opinion. I'm sure most wouldn't want to ride with a tablet, but it may come in handy if you carry one for work or a quick ride to the coffee shop. All of the zippers and snaps are very nice and seem very durable. As for the style, like i said before, I LOVE IT. The Ranger Red is definitely more of an O.D. Green/brownish color, which is what I read in previous reviews and why I ordered this color. The Jacket seems to breath very nicely while unzipped and when zipped up truly breaks a lot of the wind. It's currently 60 degrees out and off the bike I'm comfortable as well as riding the bike. Great Jacket, Great Price, unbelievably awesome customer service as always from Revzilla, the ONLY place to shop for motorcycle gear.
