Beautifully styled jacket but AWFUL shoulder/elbow armor pocket placement Rider: 6'2"; 185lbs - Bought size L and fits perfectly. Bought Black color and love it. For the closeout price, you can't beat the style. Love the waxed cotton material and smell. Just as Anthony states in his review, it does have that awesome attic like smell to it. For the price, choose this one over the much more expensive Aether Skyline (which I also bought but returned). The Aether was a lot more baggier and for the price, $650, just not worth it. Now, the biggest drawback to this jacket is the armor. First of all, it doesn't come with any so I went and bought the $90 R.S. CE armor kit which includes back protector, shoulder and elbow armor. The back protector fits perfectly though I do wish it went a little lower. Regarding the armor kit itself - the elbow and shoulder armor should definitely be switched, at least for this jacket. Meaning, the one that is "elbow" is DEFINITELY the shoulder armor and vice versa. They fit a lot better in this configuration. However, the biggest disappointment is how these armor pockets were sown in. Both are ridiculously too low to the point that the shoulder protection is basically "upper part of my arm" protection and the elbow protection is basically "outside forearm" protection. The shoulder protection barely touches my shoulder and their is no protection at my elbow joint. I wish they could have just came with the shoulder and elbow armor already baked in (much like how Rev'it! does) and then one just has to buy the back protector. This way, the armor in the shoulders and elbows would actually sit properly. September 19, 2015
Great product with style I love this jacket, I bought it for the style more then for the protective properties. This is a heavy jacket, cant tell the difference between this and my buddies leather jacket. May 19, 2014

Conrad K asked: I plan to get a jacket that will double as a winter jacket without armor (In Chicago). Could the Clarion jacket fit that role?

Thank you,

Jeffry S: I wore mine all throughout the winter in Washington state. It is a warm jacket but i still needed an electric warming jacket under it to stay warm. For mild winters it will do by itself while riding. Once you are off the bike i found it has a good fall jacket but not winter Mar 8, 2015

Bryce S: Hey mate, its a great jacket but not sure it would be warm enough for you. Ive had to wear a few layers under mine to keep warm and it doesnt get very cold here at all.

Hope that helps.
