Inspiring confidence.
Forcefield armor is legendary in its protectiveness and their collaboration with Roland Sands doesn't disappoint. The armor sits where it's supposed to sit and does a good job being unobtrusive. I have the elbow, shoulder and back armor in my Tracker Jacket and you can hardly tell there's armor in there at all.

Seems good to me
I have all three of these pads in my Roland Sands Vandal jacket(back, shoulders, and elbows). They are easy to install and fit nicely in the pockets. These elbow pads are the only ones that don't fit perfectly on me. They twist a little in the pocket and are a little low on my arms extending down to my forearm a little. I think it's more of an issue of the jacket being made for longer arms than mine. I will say due to the generous size of these elbow pads they still fully cover my elbows. Also after I put the jacket on and adjust the elbow pads they don't want to twist any further. I have not tested these pads in the sense of falling off my bike (knock on wood), but they do provide me with some peace of mind and seem like they would provide some protection.

much better than hard plastic armor
good deal for soft armor made by ForceField! Fits well in all my jackets. More comfortable than hard plastic. Don't even notice it while riding.

Very light and pliable, comfortable to wear and less restrictive than hard armor.

Great Added Security
I normally wouldn't wear armor, but my girlfriend is a bit of a safety freak. When she found out I had slots in my new ronin jacket for armor, she got me these. Since I have put them in and I pretty much forget they are there when I'm riding. I do feel a little safer with these in. Very pleased with both the design of the jacket and this armor.

Awesome add on protection
I bought these protectors to placed them in addition to tht built in protection in my Dainese carbon jacket. I placed Velcro inside the jacket and the Roland Sands armor for them not to move. The fit was great! Initially on my right arm they were tight but it only took a couple of rides for the jacket to give in. I wear them all the time since I didn't feel that the protection that the jacket provided was enough. Haven't tested them yet in a fall ( hopefully never) but having a full CE rated protector was very important for me. The main reason I chose this armor was by a recommendation on a video that Anthony with Revzilla provided. They are slim but they are very protective.
As far as breath ability since the plastic is against my skin I wear long sleeves ( no pocket provided in the Carbon jacket) and after a 2 hr ride yesterday at approx. 82 degrees they were fine no issues. I do reccommend them for this application.

So much better than the original pads
Even though these are listed as "elbow pads," they happen to be the same size and shape as the knee pads that came in my MotoBoss AirSpeed4 mesh riding pants.

The original pads were thin foam that didn't offer much protection even when they were brand new. Once they started compressing and tearing, I started looking for a replacement.

These were perfect.

Cooler: these allow airflow and the originals did not.

Tougher: much better protection against injury.

Flexible.

I'd say they're worth every penny, but that would be an understatement.

Good so far
It's my first jacket/armor purchase(roland sands ronin), so I don't really have anything to compare it to. It fits well, is a little adjustable, very flexible and I usually barely notice it unless I'm thinking about it. Haven't had to use it yet (thankfully), but it feels like it would provide reasonable cushioning. It does work well with people playfully punching me to test it out though :)

The elbow in particular kinda fits weird because I can't tell if my elbow should be cradled in the armor, or if going below is ok. I have more flexibility when using the latter method, but can adjust either way. When riding, it sits perfectly.

I ordered two sets of elbow pads for my Clarion jacket. One set will go in the shoulder pockets because the RS shoulder pads are too small and barely even reach the shoulders of the jacket.

The pads fit perfectly in the knee pockets of my FirstGear HT overpants and HT Air overpants. Much better protection than the foam currently there, and no more intrusive. Also, they replace stiff, uncomfortable armor in the elbow of a Joe Rocket Luna jacket.

How it must be set? Cells outside or inside? :-)
A shopper on Feb 14, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The ridged side, or cells, are designed to face outward - away from the body.
