Roland Sands CE Armor - Back
Good comfort, minimal protection.
I recieved my rsd forcefield back armor today and was pretty excited about it. It fits perfectly in my roland sands ronin jacket and is pretty comfortable. The one issue I have is that it only covers a small portion of your upper spine, leaving the two sides of your back your lower back exposed. I believe this is more a fault of the design of the jacket protector insert pocket than anything, but still protection is minimal. I guess its better than going without, but when I put on my full back protector and compare it with this one I can just imagine sliding/falling on my tailbone or lower back and getting pretty messed up with the rsd protector. I have not crash tested it, but as I saw in some of the reviews it worked fine. Definitely for more casual city riding, but i guess thats the nature of RSD jackets and armor.
Side note, I bought Icon D30 armor for shoulders and elbows and they are great! So if you are in the market for armor for your RSD jacket check em out.

Is what it is.
Fits fine in my Roland Sands jacket. Don't even notice it while I'm wearing it. Pleased with the idea of added protection.

Armor reduces size of an already tight fitted jacket
Great quality armor. Made specifically for RSD jackets (so I wouldn't recommend buying a cheaper brand and trying to fit them with the RSD jackets).
I've only worn the RSD Vandal and Tracker jackets. I'm 6'3", 200lbs -- an extra large RSD jacket fits just right (although sleeves could be an extra1" longer for riding position).
HOWEVER, after inserting the armor in the shoulders, back and elbows - the jacket becomes almost unwearable because of the increased volume -- it is a very tight, restraining fit, especially in the arms and shoulders.
Highly recommend (if you're going to wear armor - not included with the jacket purchase) to buy the next size up in the Vandal or Tracker jackets.

Bought this to originally fit in my Kriega backpack and then put it into the back of my RSD Barfly. I played with a few different other armors including the Icon D30 and compared to that, this is much more comfortable, isn't as hard to the touch as the D30. I would much rather prefer using these than the D30 in my backpack or jackets.

perfect fit for my RS jacket
the fit is perfect - snug and wont move around. Costs no more than other brands of armour but the fit makes it perfect,

Good so far
It's my first jacket/armor purchase(roland sands ronin), so I don't really have anything to compare it to. It fits well, is a little adjustable, very flexible and I usually barely notice it unless I'm thinking about it. Haven't had to use it yet (thankfully), but it feels like it would provide reasonable cushioning. It does work well with people playfully punching me to test it out though :)

Seems good to me
I have all three of these pads in my Roland Sands Vandal jacket(back, shoulders, and elbows). They are easy to install and fit nicely in the pockets. This back pad does make the jacket a little snugger around the chest but not uncomfortable at all. I have not tested these pads in the sense of falling off my bike (knock on wood), but they do provide me with some peace of mind and seem like they would provide some protection.
