RSD 2-Up Step Seat For Triumph

At home on any style Triumph Classic, the RSD 2-Up Step Seat is narrower and thinner than your stock seat, while still covering the Triumph frame rails for a clean look. The unique stepped rear end is for passenger comfort as well as keeping you planted in the saddle when you feel the need to rip it. Rear panel with subtle RSD button adds a touch of flavor to the rear of the seat. Controlled density polyurethane foam and a marine grade fiberglass base-plate.

LOVE my RSD 2-up
Was looking for a custom look but didn't want to deal with making a seat pan or other fitment issues - this thing fits perfectly & looks awesome. It rides 2-up just as intended, and still has the cafe look when I'm solo. Great quality build from Mustang seats as well. Had a hard time finding a pic of the seat on a Bonnie - So'll I'll attach mine...

Excellent product
I am very happy with my purchase in regards to this product. It is of excellent quality overall and it has greatly improved my bike's overall aesthetics as well as providing much better comfort than originally offered by the stock seat. My girlfriend often rides with me on the back and is very comfortable as well, which was a huge concern of mine. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a two up seat that will also improve the look of their modern classic.

Comfortable and looks great.
The build quality is excellent, and it looks great on the bike. It is a little thin in padding but is still comfortable. 2 up riding is still good and passengers state it is comfortable for them as well. The only downside, the perforations allow water to go into the foam when you wash the bike. Makes for a wet ride afterwards unless you avoid the seat!

Beautiful fit. Lower stance.
I bought the two-tone (black/brown). Thought from the pictures that it would be leather. It's vinyl but, really nice marine-grade vinyl that feels nice and should last a long time. The stance is a lot lower than the stock skim board T-100 seat. Love the look especially with no rear fender!

Really happy with this seat.
I love this seat. I wish I had bought it sooner. It fits perfectly on my 2007 Bonneville. A huge improvement over my stock seat. One of the few things I've changed on my bike that improved the aesthetics without sacrificing comfort or safety.

Great fit. Best price anywhere
Perfect fit. Looks great on the bike. This seat is more comfortable than the stock seat, especially helps to have a bit of lower back support from the conured shape.

Happy Lower Back / Some Issues
I knew I needed to upgrade my Triumph Bonneville's infamous stock seat (the "ironing board"). After much research, I decided to go with the RSD Enzo, in black.

This seat takes about an inch off the height and even more off the width as compared to the stock seat - which I don't mind, given my 31" inseam. The design is great and really complements the lines of the Bonneville nicely. Lots of attention to detail, including the RSD mini-badge on the back. The amount of lower back support it provides is so much better than the stock seat, and it really helps me hold proper riding posture. It's not a soft & mushy seat, padding is less than I anticipated but actually quite comfortable to me. Even on longer rides.

So, I have a few reasons for giving this 4 stars and not 5. To some these may seem like minor gripes, fair enough - but I'm definitely a detail guy so everything counts.

The fit - it is tight. I really had to press down hard on the back of the seat in order to get the two bolts aligned properly. Also, up front where the seat meets the gas tank - it's "squished" up against the tank and as a result, the first two pads of the seat are pretty well wrinkled. Looks bad. It almost feels like the mounting clip under the seat (the tab that slides under the tank, to hold the seat on) needs to be bent out a bit. Perhaps this is related to the difficulty in lining up the rear bolts(?).

Also, I feel like the material could have a little less slack all around, but mainly on the sides. There are spots along the side that look loose / wrinkly. I noticed this in almost every RSD seat photo I've seen online, so maybe there's a reason for it, but for what this seat costs I feel like this is a possibly a design / manufacturing oversight.

In summary - I like the seat a lot. If it weren't for the fit & aesthetic issues mentioned above, it would be easy to say I loved it. But overall, it's way better than the stock seat.

Custom look reasonable price
The seat is more narrow and much more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing than the stock seat. It looks great on my 2013 bonnie and wish I had gotten it sooner. The original black finish is amazing but I used vinyl spray paint to give it a dark grey texture.

Is it compatible with the BC fender eliminator? Doesn't this move the tail light up?

Will the boss seat fit on my ducati scrambler?
A shopper on Aug 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have no idea. But, after a long ride, my wife thought it was a bit too stiff for a passenger. So, I just went back to stock for 2 up riding.
will the rear cowl of the Thruxton fit over the rear of the seat?
A C on Feb 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't have the thruxton cowl but I would say it would likely not - I believe the profile is completely different. Also, the seat looks great but is harder than other triumph seats....
I have a 2007 bonneville. It is a carbed model so it has the smaller tank. Is there a gap between the seat and the tank (the way there is on the brittish customs slammer seat for carbed model bonnevilles)?
A shopper on Nov 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I put the 2-up Boss seat on my 2014 T100 with with EFI and a 4.2 gallon tank. I'm not familiar with the exact difference in tank shape/size from the 2014 to the 2007, but on my bike it is actually a bit of a snug fit. Actually took some fiddling to bend the front of the seat back while sliding the seat hook in to the slot. Once install the front of the seat tries to bend back down and pushes against the tank to make a firm, gapless connection. So if the thank isn't too much shorter, it might actually fit just fine.
how much lower is this seat compared to the stock bonneville 2013 seat? i'm 5'3"
A shopper on Sep 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: the seat will give u about an inch more.....its a good seat but i returned mine since i wasnt happy with the stitching quality on the sides....
Is there a gap between the seat and the tank when used on Carb-model bikes (non-efi bikes with smaller gas tank)? This is an issue with the brittish custom slammer seat and was wondering if it is the same with this seat.
Thanks
