RK Quick Acceleration Chain and Sprocket Kits Honda CBR 600 RR

RK Quick Acceleration Chain and Sprocket Kits are a balance of maximum performance and durability. These hassle free kits make it easy to increase acceleration by replacing your 530 or 525 chain and sprockets with a light weight 520 chain and sprockets. Each kit is tailored to be bike specific with either a cut-to-length XSO or GXW chain. This results in reduced rotating mass as well as crisper throttle response, making these RK kits a great upgrade!

The 520XSO chain features RK's proprietary "RX-Ring" seal design. Viewed in cross-section, the RK "RX-Ring" has two lubrication pools and seal points versus the single seal point/pool design of a regular o-ring chain. RK chains offer quality, performance and unbeatable value for all but the most demanding high performance applications.

Aluminum rear sprockets offer you maximum weight savings but do not have the longevity of steel sprockets. Slightly heavier than aluminum, the steel rear sprockets last three times longer.

  • OEM sprocket size: 16/42
  • RK Kit sprocket size: 15/42
  • 520XSO chain with silver or gold finish
  • Chro-moly steel front sprocket
  • 7075 T6 aluminum or premium S45C induction hardened high carbon steel rear sprocket

Note: Image for reference only. Actual sprockets may vary slightly depending on your make and model.

Joshua A: As with most things in life, there's a trade-off. In this case, yes you will lose top-speed and at each speed you'll be at a slightly higher RPM.

For me, I know that I will benefit far more from quicker acceleration than I would a higher top speed. How often are you traveling at over 140mph? Even on the track you will likely not reach those speeds before your next turn, and even if you do there is a high likelihood that the faster acceleration would be more beneficial for your times.

Pick your poison. I accelerate much more frequently than I achieve max speed, so I prefer the quicker acceleration.

Aaron H: Yes you will have a lower top end speed after installing this kit. However it isn't too significant (or at least from my experience)

I have a 2007 CBR600RR and can still get up to around 170
