  • Multiple compartments concealed under the front pockets make it easy to carry the necessities of the road
  • Includes a metal clip on a bungee lanyard for keys

  • Power stretch panels on the side and under the arms provide freedom of movement and a flexible fit
  • Reflective tape on the front and back increases night time visibility

  • Both the jacket and the fully-sleeved, removable liner have built-in pockets for most mobile devices on the left side and a map/cargo pocket on the right side
  • A Thermal Neck Wrap extends up the neck and chin and stows back into the jacket when not in use

Love the jacket; 1 nit to pick I chose the textile Scout because I wanted the full set of features but didn't want to pay $300+ for a full-featured leather. I'm very pleased with it. First, the bang for the buck is off the charts. To get this level of protection, air flow, storage and temperature versatility for less than $200 is astonishing. Second, the appearance is perfect for me. In textile, it looks more European cafe or sport tourer than American cruiser. I consider that a plus. As to fit, I'd go true to size. I'm 6' / 210lbs, and the XL fits close but not tight. In the video, the model looks cramped. Had I followed the vid's advice, I likely would have ordered a large and felt cramped. The XL is perfect for me. My single nit to pick is the thermal neck wrap. It attaches via velcro to the back of the jacket. That's impossible to manage when putting the jacket on. This is a textile jacket, meaning synthetic, protective material. So it's quite stiff. Not sure how to remedy this issue, but it makes the neck wrap useless unless you just treat it as a separate item around your neck and don't worry about keeping it attached to the jacket in the back. Speaking of neck wraps and such, this jacket is super warm for winter riding with the thermal, removable lining. I live in Wisconsin, and the jacket's 1st ride to work was in a brisk 37°. I was toasty throughout the entire 7-mile commute. Highly recommended! October 18, 2015
Overall Good Jacket Overall I really like the jacket. I am 6' 2" and the sleeves are a little shorter than I like. The jacket has pretty good airflow but it is still hot when riding in temps. over 85 degrees. September 14, 2015
Great Jacket with lots of protection This is a great jacket that fit perfectly and true to size. The removable liner works great and the airflow is really good. I live in Texas and it gets HOT. As long as you are moving on the bike the airflow works well. I upgraded the back armor to Forcefield and feel very secure in the jacket. Lots of pockets that are easy to get stuff into. Jacket looks awesome and I like the added reflective strip on the back. Easy purchase and fast shipping. If you are looking at this jacket go ahead and get it....you wont be disappointed. great jacket especially for closeout price I got this jacket on closeout and so far I am very pleased with it. The only issue I really have is it does tend to pinch my arms a bit at the elbows. I remedied this by simply removing the elbow pads; not the most ideal solution but I can't really complain for $149. August 10, 2015
one of the best i purchased this jacket for my wife, who loved it!!! March 2, 2015
Great jacket so far The 2-way zipper is a bit cumbersome and hard to disconnect when unzipping. I'm 5.9, 160, 40in and the medium is pretty snug. Worked well on a mountain trip, 45-80 degrees. Pulled the liner out and it was comfortable, though 85+ degrees might get warm. Recommend October 20, 2014
a little pricey, but good product. a little pricey, but good product. Good features like the pockets. July 12, 2014
Could use a few improvements This jacket fit fine, everywhere except in the bend of the elbows. When you have the liner in, when I would bend my arms just trying to zip up or button the collar, it would pinch very tight in the creases of my elbows. It was so tight that it would raise the skin and make it look like my blood was just underneath my 1st layer of skin. I still kept wearing it, hoping it would break in. I really don't understand why it has a double zipper up the front. While I was riding into work one morning, the front zipper parachuted on me, only staying together at the top and bottom. I pulled over and tried to bring the zipper down, and even tried bringing the bottom up. Well the top zipper broke off, so i had to use the bottom zipper to zip it up to my neck, then back down so it would be together and not flying open. I called the customer service and they sent me a return label and filed it under manufacturer warranty. The jacket was on back order, so I got refunded the money and ended up buying a different jacket....which is the most AMAZING summer jacket. June 21, 2014

Peter S: Overall Jacket seems like a sturdy build based off videos and reviews. Seems like a good 3 1/5 to 4 season option and reasonably priced. Style seem to fit the bill for cruisers. Jun 19, 2015
A W: I wanted a neutral textile jacket that looked good on my Triumph Bonneville. I'm done with leather. I ride far too often and have had surprise rain ruin too many good jackets. May 2, 2015
Edward M: looks like a nicely thought out jacket that is versatile and will work for my daily commuting needs in various weather. It also looks a bit more subtle such that it can be worn around off the bike without looking too loud or motorcycle specific. Mar 29, 2015
douglas o: great value for the dollars Sep 17, 2014

A shopper asked: I am considering this for NC summer riding and don't want a full mesh jacket. How hot is this thing with vents open? Jun 10, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Ravindra K: I agree with Mike D that at high speed cruising the air flow is pretty good. However, in MI last weekend with temperatures around 80 and moderately high humidity I was sweating inside the jacket at low speed or when stopped at traffic lights. NC certainly has higher overall temps and more humidity, so a thinner jacket would probably work better. Jun 10, 2014

Mike D: Don't know what nc summer feels like .If it helps the jacket flows air very well when moving.used it this weekend temps were little under 80 did a 120 mi ride.on the way home it was over 80 got stuck in traffic pulled over and took it off .if no traffic it's cool and comfortable. ANDREW T: This gets pretty hot during summer riding even with the vents open. It gets too hot for me to ride comfortably in sunny 75+ degrees. Not bad when you're moving, but at stop lights and in parking lots I start to sweat. Hope this helps. Jun 16, 2014

Chris P: The River Road Scout Textile Jacket was comfortable in 38 degree weather and with the liner removed and vents open in Death Valley at 118 degrees
Great product and Rain proof to boot.

Javier B asked: Is this jacket waterproof? If so, Which layer has the waterproof protection? The internal liner or the external jacket? Jun 27, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Tom C: The other layer seems pretty waterproof, and the inner best had a coating that seems to keep it dry as well. I will say, the jacket isn't quite long enough to provide good rain protection around the waist, even with the matching pants. Jun 27, 2015

gerard k: Sorry have not worn it in the rain. Although it's a very nice jacket the main zipper is very weak. It's the type of zipper that's more for a pocket. I am going to have it replaced. Don't know what they were thinking. Jun 27, 2015

douglas o: The external jacket is waterproof. Interior liner is just thermal. Jun 27, 2015

A shopper asked: The description says that the thermal collar stows back into the jacket when not in use, how exactly? Dec 10, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
gerard k: It has a large Velcro patch. You can fold the collar down when not needed or remove it and put it in your pocket when not needed. Nice option. I really like this jacket and I do have many. Dec 10, 2014
