River Road Hoodlum Vintage Leather Jacket
This is just a fitting review..
Note, I literally just got it and put it on. I found it to be too big. Note, I have a weird shaped body but I tried to measure myself and from the sizing chart I found that a 40-42 would fit. I got a 40 because the reviews. It's sorta close, but like I said I have a weird body. I'll just say this, I usually wear medium shirts, and I can breath comfortably in express men's smalls. But This didn't fit very well, I was going to return and get another but there are no sizes smaller. I plan to get it fitted if possible though.
Note: I haven't ridden in it or anything yet. So I just gave it average reviews.

A fashionable jacket that you can also ride in...
After having this jacket for a while and getting over the honeymoon period, I think RyDuke (review Sept, 2012) isn't too far off by saying it's more a fashion jacket than a pure motorcycling jacket. It does have many good points which I'll detail, however there's a bit of a litmus test which I'm not sure this jacket would pass if put under the microscope.
The positives: the styling is fantastic. For that vintage-inspired look, I don't think there's many jackets out there that can compete IMHO. This Pakistan-made jacket certainly gives off the retro vibe with its worn, slightly frayed feel and bronzed zippers. The inner lining is a nice cold weather touch, but I haven't worn it in the rain yet. The airflow from the chest and arms zippers is good, but the jacket is heavy and can get quite stifling in hot weather. The leather itself feels quality - it's thick, but for a jacket with no protection its the least you want in a bad situation. I love the leather smell, but some people will be less Christian Grey than me.
The ok: I haven't encountered the zipper problem as yet, but in the meantime they do feel robust enough. As someone pointed out, they're not easy to unzip them one handed. Fit wise I'm in a 40, but my chest is 42. So as Revzilla recommends I'd go down a size. I'm putting this in the OK category because the fit won't be for everyone. I'm 5'7, 185lbs, 33" waist, wide shouldered. The more American cut fits well and gives me a bit of stretch room, but the arms could be a touch longer in riding position. Those looking for a more trim cut (which I quite like) may need to search elsewhere.
The not-so-great: As a disclosure, I really do like this jacket for its looks and the quality of leather. Personally, I'm pleased with it. However, as a riding jacket it falls short in the feature department (and just to be clear, I knew this before buying it but think RR could have stretched a bit in some cases).
First, there's no armor. That's ok, most jackets at this price range don't have it. But there's not even compartments for armor if you so wish. Other brands in this price point, even though they may not include it, will still give the option for aftermarket armor ie. Joe Rocket. This is a bit of a miss because it would have at least beefed up the slim feature set. In essence you're getting a heavy duty leather jacket with a few vent holes. You could argue that you're paying for the leather, but if companies like JR and AGV can do at least one of the things listed above, then the Hoodlum becomes less of a value proposition. If I asked myself, for $250, would I buy this for my son/daughter who was a novice rider, I'd probably say no, as there are similarly priced leather jackets with more safety features out there.
For those of us (myself included) at intermediate level and above who understand and accept the risks, this is a great looking jacket made from quality leather. I'd recommend it in that particular instance.

Best buy ever
I have owned this jacket for about a month, rode about 500 mi in it so far and love it! The size was confusing reading all the reviews but I am 5'9" 165 LB with a size 34/36 waist. I bought a size 40 jacket and it fits perfect! I cant wear a hoodie under it like I did with my other jacket but this one has been warm enough to where I haven't needed to.

Cool jacket, great service
I've only had it about a week, but so far I really like this jacket. Several compliments on it already. Air flow is really good, you can wear it on a warm day and not be miserable. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is that the zippers are pretty stiff and difficult to use with one hand.
These do run a bit large. I am 5'10", 200lbs and ordered a 44 which ended up being a bit too big. I swapped it for a 42, which was at my house in two days. Two days after UPS picked up the 44, Revzilla had issued my refund. This was my first Revzilla purchase, and the service has been great.

My main concern was fitment
I saw the jacket, and i knew i wanted it. Yeah its not a protective textile jacket with armor, but it would be way better than the leather jacket I was using (tears and holes everywhere). I liked the look, I could live with less than perfect protection, so my only concern was fitment issues. The video says these jackets run large, so you should buy a size down from what you normally wear. At least in my case, I don't think that was true. I am 6', 165 lbs. I usually wear a 40 R in jacket size, which fits good in the chest, but short in the arms when they are raised. My sleeve measurement, from the back of my neck is 33 1/4'', my chest measurement is 40'', my waist measurement is 32''. I bought the size 42 jacket so the sleeves wouldn't be too short in the riding position. I am happy with that choice. The jacket fits me well with the liner in (snug), but, like you might expect, it fits loose with the liner out (in the chest and waist). But I am okay with that. The sleeves extend slightly past my wrists a little over an inch when my arms are at my side, but they sit exactly at the wrist when in a cruiser riding position. Overall I am very happy with the look and feel of it.

Pretty good jacket
Nice jacket, I bought it for my short distance rides in the city, I love the leather quality and pockets, the only thing is I like my jackets to be very tight this one just a bit too big - I wish I've got one size down. Revile service is awesome as usual!

For the price, you can't beat its style, I bought this jacket with knowing this brand runs huge with the intention of having it tailored. I just love the look of it.

Great looking jacket, do something about the smell
Been riding with it for 3 weeks now. Looks good and fits a little small. I wear size 42 and size 44 fits me just right. It's a little stiff to start with and has not broken in a whole lot to my shape yet.. but its beginning to..
The smell of new leather is kind of pungent at times.. but I don't notice it while riding. My closet is full of it though :(
