Very good product for the cost. I just received the jacket and was immediately impressed with quality and features for the price. I am 5' 11" and around 195 lb. I am a little bigger in the chest and upper body as I am into fitness so that area is important. I also like the belt area adjustment so it doesn't hang open too far for wind protection. I typically wear a 44 long or 46 depending on the make of a jacket. The River Road 44 fit just right. I have long arms and the arm length on the jacket is good. Looking very forward to getting much wear out of this jacket. December 10, 2014
This is a high quality jacket Me: 5' 11", 170 lbs, athletic build. I wear a 42. It's good and roomy with just a t-shirt, and fits #tight in the arms# with the quilt liner in and a sweater on underneath. Alright, so I'm somewhat of a novice rider. Just got my first bike this year, but I have ridden it every month since. It's nice living in the South, where the riding season is long. It's also hot in the South in the summer. Too hot. This jacket is thick. I'll let you put two and two together. Anyways, my thoughts: CONS 1.# The ventilation is good, but if I'm stopped, it's hot, bottom line. 2.) The zipper sometimes sticks, but I've had worse zippers. You need two hands to get the small pockets/vents opened and closed, but the main zipper goes easily with one hand. 3.) The arms are a little small. Other than that, there's almost nothing I don't like about the jacket. I'd wear it everywhere all the time, if my wife wasn't so grossed out about the maybug genocide that happened on it. PROS 1.) If #...when# I go down wearing this jacket, I am very confident that it will stand up to the test of cement/concrete. My mother-in-law was one of the best sewers for a leather motorcycle jacket company, and even she was impressed by the thickness and quality of the leather. 2.) It looks good. And the white #at least in my mind# makes you be seen a little easier. It also looks distressed, like a well worn jacket, and yet still very nice. It wears well on the motorcycle, and you don't look like a member of a motorcycle gang when you're not on the bike. 3.) It's comfortable. The torso fits well, it doesn't bunch up or squeeze your neck, and its pretty soft leather. 4.) It's a four season jacket. Plenty warm when the temp drops, and as long as you're moving and all the vents are open in the summer, it's cool enough. Final thought: If I had to buy another jacket, I'd buy another one from River Road. December 9, 2014
In a state of shock Revzilla, you have outdone yourselves. I literally received this jacket in less than 24 hours from the time I ordered. How thats possible ill never know, but that is absolutely incredible. Jacket is very impressive. Leather is soft and feels good. Very comfortable to have on. Looking forward to many future rides with this. Sizing is pretty accurate according to the video, glad I listened. Got it right the first time around. I am 6' 1'' 200 lb's and got a size 42, and fits just right. Not too big, not too small. What people are saying about the zipper is real. Feels fine right now, not the easiest to open/close but works. Sleeve cuffs are a little on the large size, but no big deal. Those are my only gripes, otherwise this jacket is phenomenal. Three years after purchasing this jacket I bought this jacket three years ago and never submitted a review. Feel compelled to do so today because I experienced the same zipper malfunction/issue others mention in their reviews. I'm guessing mine lasted this long because I rarely wore it (had maybe 2 dozen rides wearing the jacket) as I usually wear a much lighter jacket. In a nutshell, the front zipper completely broke while riding a few days back and it will no longer properly close. Completely useless. I'm outside of the 2 year warranty and S.O.L at this point. I will say that from a fit and airflow standpoint, the jacket was great and exceeded expectation. That's the only reason I gave it two stars versus one star. The leather was ok and as some other reviewers pointed out.. the boxxy look of the shoulder cut either works for you or it doesn't. It worked for me and I had no issue with it. Buyer beware - if you do purchase this jacket pay close attention to the front zipper. September 22, 2014
Great jacket! What drew me to this jacket was the look-vintage, relaxed and stylish. I ordered it on a Friday night and it showed up on Monday! Right out of the box, I was impressed by the thickness of the leather and the quality of the stitching. There are ample pickets and I like the cell phone pocket both in the jacket and the liner. The sizing is true. I wear a 44 jacket normally and the 44 in this jacket is dead on. Since it'seems still September, I removed the liner, which appears to be heavy enough for colder weather riding. I finally got to try out the jacket on a ride yesterday. It was sunny and about 80 degrees, so a good day for a test. My ride was a mix of around town (traffic and lights) and back roads up to 55 mph. The jacket was great. I never felt hot as the airflow with all vents open was good. Overall, I'may very pleased so far. The only minor issue is the main zipper isn'the as smooth initially as I would like, but hopefully it will get better with use. September 22, 2014
Nice style, bad zippers This jacket is a great deal for the price. The leather is quality and it has a great look to it, and the zip out full liner is nice for colder days. However, the zippers are very difficult to use and feel as though they will not last long, so plan to have them replaced at some point. I ordered a 42 and the sleeves are a bit short for me. I'm 6'1" about 200 pounds. August 25, 2014
Great jacket / Nice style I'm new to street riding. This is my first leather jacket purchase and I'm very pleased. Followed jacket fitting instructions on Revzilla and the jacket fits perfect. There is a small cut in the leather under the left sleeve zipper however. I'm sure they would replace it if I cared to go through the process of shipping it back, but it's a hassle, and less time spent riding. All-in-all satisfactory purchase. I just wish they offered pockets on the interior for reinforced armor. Huge opportunity here for them to create a secondary post purchase option. I would buy. July 14, 2014
Good for the money This jacket is a pretty good value for the money. Fit- Everyone said this jacket runs a little big but if you are someone that typically has broad shoulders and have problems with sport coat fits because of it, go to the next higher size up. I am 5'11" 250 and have 50 chest but an outseam (around the shoulders) of 61 (I'm told that's a little large for a 50 chest) so I went to a 52 size and it fits great. There isn't a lot of give in the arm sleeves bit still is enuough to be comfortable while riding (if you have ape hangers might not work so well). A little bulky in the gut area, looks fine if sittin up straight but if you slouch yo have this big area of the coat that want to stick out. If you have a pretty good sized gut this might be a plus. If you are a twig build of a person you might want something else that is more form fitting. Material- The leather is thick and heavy, it's kept me warm in about 50 degree weather for sure. The zippers are OK, not always the easiest to zip up. You def don't want to have to zip this up while riding. Zippers are probably the biggest negative I've seen so far. Value- Considering the style of the coat, the heavy build of it, and the fit, it is a good value for the money and would def recommend it. May 12, 2014

A shopper asked: Does this jacket have pockets for inserting CE armor in the elbows and shoulders? Feb 15, 2012

Whitey: Nope but I'm thinking of sewing something into the liner. Kevlar would be nice too but nadda. The leather is nice and thick but will still burn out after 100 feet or so like all other leather. Great jacket otherwise... Mar 14, 2012

A shopper asked: I am 5"4 so a 34in sleeve would be draging on the ground, Hmm it sucks to be a short !!
Do river road do custom fit maybe ?
Could the sleeves be hemd ? ( by leather expert )

Ambro: You might be able to get a custom fit but I don't see why an expert leather worker wouldn't be able to hem the length of the sleeves. Just bear in mind, if you do this, River Road and Revzilla will most likely not honor a return on the item if you needed one.

Thanks!

abstract53: I once had my leather jacket hemmed by one of the tailors at the Men's Wearhouse when they were gonna fix my pants I just outta curiosity asked if they could hem leather she did it at home and it fit just right afterwards Jan 16, 2012

Whitey: They didn't do a custom fit when I asked. Most shoe repair places will fix leather jackets (broken zippers, whatnot) but I wouldn't go that route to re-make the jacket. Mar 14, 2012

A shopper asked: Hi-

I am trying to buy this jacket for my fiance. He is 6'2- approximately 175 pounds. I measure his chest size and he is approximately 40 inches. He's extremely tall and lengthy. I'm not sure how to measure his arms for the sleeve measurement. Can you please help?

Thank you.

Andrew B: If you go off the chest size alone, the jacket will be too small. I'm a 6', 205lb athletic build and I wear a 46. I have rather long arms and the sleeve measurements are perfect on my frame. I would suggest you go with at least a 46, it may be big in the chest, but the sleeves wont ride up his arms when he's on the bike. Nov 14, 2013
