Cool jacket, great service I've only had it about a week, but so far I really like this jacket. Several compliments on it already. Air flow is really good, you can wear it on a warm day and not be miserable. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is that the zippers are pretty stiff and difficult to use with one hand. These do run a bit large. I am 5'10", 200lbs and ordered a 44 which ended up being a bit too big. I swapped it for a 42, which was at my house in two days. Two days after UPS picked up the 44, Revzilla had issued my refund. This was my first Revzilla purchase, and the service has been great. September 10, 2015
My main concern was fitment I saw the jacket, and i knew i wanted it. Yeah its not a protective textile jacket with armor, but it would be way better than the leather jacket I was using (tears and holes everywhere). I liked the look, I could live with less than perfect protection, so my only concern was fitment issues. The video says these jackets run large, so you should buy a size down from what you normally wear. At least in my case, I don't think that was true. I am 6', 165 lbs. I usually wear a 40 R in jacket size, which fits good in the chest, but short in the arms when they are raised. My sleeve measurement, from the back of my neck is 33 1/4'', my chest measurement is 40'', my waist measurement is 32''. I bought the size 42 jacket so the sleeves wouldn't be too short in the riding position. I am happy with that choice. The jacket fits me well with the liner in (snug), but, like you might expect, it fits loose with the liner out (in the chest and waist). But I am okay with that. The sleeves extend slightly past my wrists a little over an inch when my arms are at my side, but they sit exactly at the wrist when in a cruiser riding position. Overall I am very happy with the look and feel of it. July 16, 2015
Pretty good jacket Nice jacket, I bought it for my short distance rides in the city, I love the leather quality and pockets, the only thing is I like my jackets to be very tight this one just a bit too big - I wish I've got one size down. Revile service is awesome as usual! June 8, 2015
Runs large For the price, you can't beat its style, I bought this jacket with knowing this brand runs huge with the intention of having it tailored. I just love the look of it. June 5, 2015
Great looking jacket, do something about the smell Been riding with it for 3 weeks now. Looks good and fits a little small. I wear size 42 and size 44 fits me just right. It's a little stiff to start with and has not broken in a whole lot to my shape yet.. but its beginning to.. The smell of new leather is kind of pungent at times.. but I don't notice it while riding. My closet is full of it though :( June 1, 2015
Great jacket,Great customer service, Great shipping I recently purchased the river road hoodlum jacket size 40..i weight around 150, waist 34, and sleeve lenth about 33 long...i was a little unsure about what size to get so i called revzilla and the customer experience was great and he told me size 40 would be perfect for me..He has definitely right and there is even room for a hoody if i ever need to wear one underneath..The jacket is amazing style because you can wear it to ride but also whwn your not riding and wanna go out..i would definitely recommend it to anybody who wants a thick leather jacket.super fast shipping less then 2 days and it was on my front door step...wore it that day and i already got a bunch of compliments...nice and warm too.. Good For all but a few areas The from pockets are a bit hard to get into (have to bend your wrist) so I use the inside pockets which are good but I cut the Velcro off the inside pockets for more convince for myself and thats it. April 6, 2015
Great Jacket - front zipper issues I bought this jacket and still am extremely pleased with the quality and function of the jacket. i wear it all the time. ONE issue - my front zipper broke!!! - after a year of wear. I contacted the manufacturer and the website where I purchased the jacket (m-superstore). That website had horrible customer service: they wanted me to write a letter explaining what was wrong and then they would make a consideration/recommendation. River Road was awesome. They sent me a new jacket immediately no questions!!! They just wanted the damaged jacket back. All that said, if you have a defective product (don't know how revzilla deals with issues) just talk to them directly and they will February 13, 2015

A shopper asked: Does this jacket have pockets for inserting CE armor in the elbows and shoulders? Feb 15, 2012

Whitey: Nope but I'm thinking of sewing something into the liner. Kevlar would be nice too but nadda. The leather is nice and thick but will still burn out after 100 feet or so like all other leather. Great jacket otherwise... Mar 14, 2012

A S asked: I commute all year and live in Denver.. Is this going to keep me warm in the winter? I ride a shadow with a windshield and lower leg deflectors. Also have heated pants and gloves.. Thanks! I usually ride if there is no ice or snow and it is above 10*F Nov 23, 2015

mary m: I've ridden in 35*f weather on a gs850g with no windshild no gloves and blue jeans. it was cool but manageable. If I had gauntlet style gloves it would have been warmer. It's a very well made and heavy jacket. I hope this helps. Happy ridding.

JOEL B: It comes with a liner that's pretty warm but at 10F I doubt it will keep you warm. With more layers it might work.

A shopper asked: I am 5"4 so a 34in sleeve would be draging on the ground, Hmm it sucks to be a short !!
Do river road do custom fit maybe ?
Could the sleeves be hemd ? ( by leather expert )

Ambro: You might be able to get a custom fit but I don't see why an expert leather worker wouldn't be able to hem the length of the sleeves. Just bear in mind, if you do this, River Road and Revzilla will most likely not honor a return on the item if you needed one.

abstract53: I once had my leather jacket hemmed by one of the tailors at the Men's Wearhouse when they were gonna fix my pants I just outta curiosity asked if they could hem leather she did it at home and it fit just right afterwards Jan 16, 2012

Whitey: They didn't do a custom fit when I asked. Most shoe repair places will fix leather jackets (broken zippers, whatnot) but I wouldn't go that route to re-make the jacket. Mar 14, 2012

A shopper asked: Hi-

I am trying to buy this jacket for my fiance. He is 6'2- approximately 175 pounds. I measure his chest size and he is approximately 40 inches. He's extremely tall and lengthy. I'm not sure how to measure his arms for the sleeve measurement. Can you please help?

Thank you.

Andrew B: If you go off the chest size alone, the jacket will be too small. I'm a 6', 205lb athletic build and I wear a 46. I have rather long arms and the sleeve measurements are perfect on my frame. I would suggest you go with at least a 46, it may be big in the chest, but the sleeves wont ride up his arms when he's on the bike. Nov 14, 2013

Joshua S: Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse, but I was wondering about this as well. So I am 6' like you, but I have lost weight so my chest measurement is only 40 in. Do you think I should get a 46 and live with the loose chest? I definitely don't want the sleeves to be too long OR ride up while I'm in ride position.

Thanks Jun 27, 2015
