good spring / fall leather jacket for around town
fit's a bit tight with the liner in, but not too tight... i tried it on in the philadelphia showroom and liked the fit. with the liner out, it's a bit looser but not too loose. overall, just right either way. (i ride a '76 BMW airhead so am in an upright position)
it's nice-looking enough to wear out with my wife to a restaurant. the vents are effective, even with the liner in.
there's no armor, but i knew that, and would not expect it at this price point. the leather, zippers and details are good quality.
overall very pleased.

This jacket has great looks and features.
This is my first leather motorcycle jacket and
for the price it's top notch. I was hesitant at
first to purchase this jacket because the lack of
armor, but after some thought I pulled the
trigger and bought the jacket. My reasoning
was that I wanted a jacket I could wear off the bike
The leather on the jacket is really soft and thick
and in the event of a crash (hope I don't actually
get to test it out) I believe it would hold up nicely.
I just bought a Arai helmet from Revzilla so I had
$30 in revzilla cash which brought the jacket
price down to $182....a no brainier.
I tried on a couple of other River Road leather jackets with
armor and they were too bulky.
This is a great jacket for the price. There may be better
jackets out there but not at this price point.

Nice looking jacket
Jacket looks great and has a nice feel to it. The vents are great for warmer weather. I ordered based on my measurements and ended up sending it back to get the next size up. I have longer arms and ride a softail, when I sat on the bike there was just a little too much wrist showing. I ended up happy with a size 48, I am 6'4" and about 210 lbs. Very happy with the purchase and the exchange was quick and easy.

very, very nice jacket
Read lots of reviews (and watched video review) before ordering this jacket. I don't usually buy clothes online because I'm in between sizes - chest size 43". This jacket runs a bit big, so a 42 fit perfectly. The shoulders and arms are just right, and there's just enough room in the chest for a thermal shirt or hoody underneath #without the liner#.
First the Pros: Leather is very soft right out of the box and breaks in very quickly. No armor or armor pockets, but the jacket is heavy and sturdy. However, you don't feel the weight at all once it's on. Seams are all well constructed. Very warm even without the zip out liner. The distressed leather looks very retro cool - the photos don't do it justice. You'll feel like Steve McQueen when wearing it. Comfortable enough to wear as a casual jacket, but tough enough for a quick spin on your motorcycle too.
Now for the Cons: *None of these are deal breakers, but they're worth mentioning* The cuffs are a little big, so if you're wearing it for cold weather, you'll need gauntlet style gloves to keep wind out. The liner is a little bulky. The liner sleeves seem more padded than the torso making arm movements a little stiff #I plan to remedy this by having a seamstress alter the liner into a vest only#. The neck is a little big and lets in a bit of wind, but it does allow enough room to wear a hoody underneath, so not really a big deal. There is initially a strong leather smell to the jacket, but this dissipates with airing out.
Even without considering the price, this is a very nice jacket. Taking cost into consideration, it becomes a phenomenal deal. Easily as nice as jackets costing twice as much, and much better than anything else at its price. I highly recommend it.

Great jacket for the money
I have had this jacket for about a year and am very happy with it. It is stylish, looking like it should be more expensive than it is, and it can be worn off the bike and not look like motorcycle gear. The liner is thick and keeps me warm enough for 50F riding. It seems to be well made, although I had a pocket zipper tear from the lining after stuffing my gloved hand into it repeatedly. There is no armor for it, but it seems thick enough to withstand a slide.

Good if you dont know what a legit leather MC jacket is
I would describe this leather jacket as a "fashion" leather jacket. There is no armor and the leather feels cheap. It also smells very strong of leather. It is cut very boxy so if you have an athletic build, it will be hanging off of you. I was hoping this would be a good value but its just garbage for the money you spend. People who are raving about this jacket don't know what they're talking about.

Excellent jacket crafted with grade A materials!
The quality on this jacket for the price is utterly amazing. The leather is quite dense and feels like it would last a lifetime. All of the stitching is done extremely well and I must say really says something for River Road, good job guys! The sleek look of the jacket speaks for itself and the video and pictures don't do this jacket the justice it deserves, it's absolutely gorgeous! Now on to the fit. I stupidly didn't watch the video prior and ordered a 52, measured my chest to be around a 51 with a deep inhale. Anyhow, when the jacket arrived, I was swimming in it. Thanks to Revzilla's top notch customer service, I was able to get it exchanged for a 48. Keep in mind, this jacket fits very liberally so If you're in between sizes, go with the smaller size. While this jacket may lack CE rated armor, for the price and all you get, it's really hard to beat. If you're looking for a fashionable and reliable, sturdy made leather jacket, this is the one! I'd buy another one of these jackets in an instant, this jacket rocks!
