River Road Baron Mesh Jacket
Stylish, clean, budget friendly, warm, with lots of pockets
I was looking for a good jacket which solid protection that wouldn't break the bank and this jacket has that is spades. First of all, it is very stylish and I have gotten numerous compliments on it. I like that it has more of that old school jacket look to it. I also really like that there isn't any branding on it and it could pass for a regular jacket if you wear it to work (as I often do#.
The thermal liner is very easy to attach and detach and it is full sleeve, so you won't have cold arms and a hot chest. I wore this in 40 degree weather on I-95 in Philly along with a polypro fleece and an underarmour shirt and my arms, chest, and torso were toasty! Just make sure you compensate for the liner when choosing a size, as the liner makes it a much more snug fit. My only complaint from a fitment perspective is that the Velcro straps on the sides are very short, so I can't get a good snug fit on the waist, but I've ridden numerous times and it really doesn't make much difference IMO.
As for pockets, I like that there aren't any chest pockets on the front, which makes it present as very clean and minimalistic--I don't know why, but I feel like those upper zippers detract from the look on other jackets. As per usual, the lower pockets have zippers and are easy to use with a glove on. There is also an inside chest pocket on the left that is a little less easy to access with a glove, although it is still doable and that pocket is very deep and spacious. The last pocket is a vertical cell phone pocket that has Velcro at the top and will hold a large cell phone #I have the LG G2 and there is some room to spare#. This pocket is on the inside of the jacket and on the inside of the liner #since the liner covers it when it's on).
The protection on the shoulders and elbows feels solid, but I've been lucky enough to not have to test them. I did have a very low speed high side where I made contact with the ground and the fabric took it like it was nothing, with only some minimal stretching, but no tearing.

Great Jacket if youre looking to save
I bought this jacket in November of 2015 and began riding with it in December. I live in Arizona so the weather this winter has been around 40-60 degrees in the mornings and evenings when I commute to university and the thermal lining keeps me very warm. When it's hot during the day the jacket without the liner has great airflow and keeps you cool. I went down on my bike last month for the first time at around 40 mph. The jacket saved my elbows and my back as I skidded a few dozen feet. Now has a small rip in each elbow but it Highly recommend the jacket as a low price option for anyone looking for more protection than your average leather. Great all around jacket.

Great jacket for a great price
New to biking and needed a starter jacket (didn't want to drop major coin (just yet)). I am 6'1" 145lbs (tall/thin) and wasn't sure if I should buy a small or medium. Settled on the small. The fit is great (tighter with the liner in, more comfortable with the liner out). Mesh breathes well for warm days, liner keeps you warm in cooler weather.

I didn't think I would get to try this out until spring. But, we had a couple of 75 degree days this past weekend, and I was able to go out riding with this jacket - minus the liner.
With the liner in, it is a good jacket in 55 degree weather.
With the liner removed, it has very good airflow. I was looking for something to wear in the summer. I am certain I have found it.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced mesh jacket to wear in the summer. The armor is well placed, and the airflow is very good.

I was so eager to get this jacket and when it came the excitement left in a hurry. The jackets looks great, but it is just too tight in the shoulders and chest for me. I have a 48in chest , but I am only 5'6", so I should wear a 2xl. I am now trying the revzilla return policy. I would order a 3xl, but they are out of stock and I am afraid the arms would be too long. It is so, hard to buy stuff online without being able to try them on. I am still looking for a jacket.

Wow! Bang for buck, I stole this!
Sweet baby Buddha in a bow tie!!! This is about a thousand times better than I had expected to get for the price. The jacket is comfortable both with and without the lining and the armor is well placed and feels sturdy. The lining takes seconds to remove and only an extra few seconds to put back in. With the lining removed, air flow is incredible and will keep you very comfortable on warm days. With the lining in, it's surprisingly warm even on colder evenings.
I particularly like the length of the sleeves as I am 6'1" 200lbs and have a good size reach. The sleeves go all the way to my gloves with just the perfect amount of overlap.
My ONLY complaint (which is really pretty minor) is the straps on the sides don't let me adjust quite enough for my waist. (I wear a size 32 jeans) But overall, it's a very minor irritation.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality summer/fall jacket at an amazing price.

Great looks and feel
Sizing was too small, but rather than send it back, a friend saw it and bought it. I reordered next size up, and it fits fine. Another friend saw it and has bought one as well.
With the sale price Revzilla was offering, it was hard to pass up. Great buy.

Great for warm weather riding...
I live in Hawaii on Oahu and this is the perfect year round jacket for this climate (85 degrees). Offers me protection AND air flow. Very comfortable. I took the lining out. I can only see using it during the winter months (65 degrees). Plenty of pockets. Snug fit. Very happy with the price point.
