R&G Racing Rear Axle Sliders

R&G Racing Rear Axle Sliders aid in reducing damage to the swingarm, chain/drive, brake caliper and brake disc in the event of a crash by keeping these core components off the tarmac and out of harm's way!

Each kit is tailored to each bike's specific axle length and/or diameter. The sliders are machined from the same High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) used in R&G's frame sliders. As the HDPE slider wears down in a slide/crash, its high friction qualities help reduce the bike's speed.

Perfectionist let down
See photos. I take excellent care of my bike. I do quality work and will pay for quality 10 times outta 10 instead of wasting my time and money buying junk. I got the r&g frame sliders, front axle sliders, and now the rear axle sliders. The others are great, the rear axle sliders let me down. Almost returned them but wasn't worth the Hassel and I wanted them to match. So the one side is literally a plastic cover with a metal compression nut. Hardly worth 60 bucks. The other side is metal with a plastic cap, much more durable and this one was great, I felt worth the money... until I installed it. The metal one doesn't sit flush with the stock chain tensioner, all the mfr had to do was grind a tiny spot out and it would sit flush. Ok so back to the plastic cap one. That one almost didn't tighten down to sit where it is supposed to. Tried 3 times and felt I was tightening it way too hard, but it finally bit and tightened down. If the mfr were to make both sides metal with the plastic on the outside and make them fit flush hands down 5 stars. Sadly I have to give it three since there are clearly engineering flaws (and I hate to say that as I am an engineer myself). Hope this helps. They are nice, but probably should sit more in the 30 to 40 dollar range until they fix the two big things I mentioned. Then they would be worth 60 all day.
