R&G Racing Rear Axle Sliders aid in reducing damage to the swingarm, chain/drive, brake caliper and brake disc in the event of a crash by keeping these core components off the tarmac and out of harm's way!

Each kit is tailored to each bike's specific axle length and/or diameter. The sliders are machined from the same High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) used in R&G's frame sliders. As the HDPE slider wears down in a slide/crash, its high friction qualities help reduce the bike's speed.

Note: Single slider.

offers a great protection to the axel
it is just hard plastic, the price is good, hope it does the job and hope not to have a review on whether it worked or not. I recommend it because anything that can protect your motorbike for a low cost is worth to try.

Easy install; peace of mind
Installed in seconds. Can't say anything on how it performs or the durability as it hasn't been tested on my bike. Just put it on there as a little extra protection just in case. Price is ok but it is just molded plastic (fairly cheap and very cheap to make) so I would expect to pay a little less. If it was a composite or nylon that would be ideal for this price range. I don't think it would withstand much impact but would keep the scratches of the swing-arm in a slide. I would still recommend the product though.

I purchased this a a small insurance coverage should I drop the bike, without my bags on. Hopefully this will protect my rear shaftdrive.

Best price for sliders out there!

A little extra protection is always good. I installed bought and installed this after a spill in sand on a trail that caused a few scratch marks mostly around the plastic donut hole (axle) housing on my R12GS swing arm. I used this in conjunction with and bottom swing arm cover protector. They fit well together and look pretty cool too.

Hi, the note says that this is a single slider. Am I correct in assuming that it is neither left nor right sided, but that one simply orders 2 (one for each side)? Thanks!
Matthew S on Jul 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi, it isn't side dependent. My bike (R1200GSW '13) has a single sided swing-arm so I only needed the one. If you needed two for a traditional swing-arm set up then you would have to order a qty of two. Hope this helps!
