R&G Racing Radiator Guard Kawasaki Ninja Z750 / Z1000 / Ninja 1000 / Versys 1000

Why would you want a radiator guard? Did you know something as tiny as a valve stem cap can puncture a radiator? Whether you are commuting to work or are wide open throttle down the front straight, blowing a hole in a high pressure cooling system will ruin your day.

R&G Radiator Guards are made from pressed aluminum and feature a neat and seamless pattern. They provide a solid net to catch any small object or debris from making contact with the radiator.

Features:

  • Each radiator guard is bike specific
  • Corrosion resistant finish
  • Mounts to OEM points with no modifications necessary

Fits good. Looks great and seems like it should be stock to protect the radiator. Will help to keep stones from doing damage.

There's Better Options!
I want to first start that this is my first time reviewing something below a four here at Revzilla.

This product seemed pretty good out of the box and came with two padding strips, a few too many washers, instructions, and the guard itself. The instructions are TERRIBLE and aren't even meant for the ninja 1000 or Z1000 (not Revzilla's fault). Install is pretty easy and if your're really lazy, can be done without removing any fairings with the price of being EXTRA careful not to bend your radiator fins. Once I installed the guard, I noticed that it didn't fully cover the radiator and left a very small opening on the bottom corners uncovered. Not a huge deal but it will bother most people.

Overall there are better products out there that will get the job done better, for less, and still look kick as with great practicality.

To protect radiator fins which are already showing some small dings and bends from debris and small stones thrown from the front tire in less than 2000 miles. Seems like a great investment for some piece of mind over the radiator.

R&G makes great products and this should be pretty covert with it being black. I also got the R&G Header guard that attaches to this piece, so it makes a seamless protective element :)

It looks good on the bike but also protects the aluminum fins from getting bent and punctured.
