great fit, comfort, and style -- possibly lacking in protective qualities for the price point.
For the price-point these gloves are very nice. The fit and finish are at the quality of more expensive gloves, but it's hard to expect any less from Rev'It. The touch screen functionality works very well, and the stitching in the thermostatic tip (which tends to fail on many gloves) seemed like it would hold up for a long time. Style-wise, these gloves are also on point. They're simply very nice looking, and the sizing guide gave me a proper fit.

I was really happy with this purchase, but unfortunately I got to crash test them. I can't say for sure if the damage was a result entirely of the intensity of the crash, or a lack of protection in this gloves design. It holds most of what you would expect in a high-end street glove -- injected knuckle protector, reinforced palms, and extra protection along the top of each finger.

I was taken out by a driver not paying attention. He accelerated hard, swung an illegal left turn and effectively T-boned me right off the bike. I tumbled about 20+ feet. when I came to a stop my hands were fairly well busted. both hands were swollen, one broken. abrasion resistance was fairly good, but on my right hand the external protection pad on the pinky had peeled up in the tumble, resulting with a big gouge in my flesh right above my nail... on my left hand my 5th metacarpal bone fractured in several places and rotated... And now after surgery I have a titanium plate and six screws holding it together.

Would my hands have been saved in $300+ premium racing gloves, or was the nature of the crash severe enough that these gloves did their job? All I know is I would have been far worse off not wearing them, but they failed to save me from injury hitting the pavement.

I hope my story helps

Finally a glove for the 21st century
I wasn't in the market for a new pair of gloves (yet), but after seeing Anthony review the Neutrons in the glove guide, I had to try them out.

I'm a fan of the original Rev'It Sand gloves, because I loved the comfort, the breathe-ability, the flexibility and the weight of the gloves. So I knew my next pair of gloves was going to be similar to them. If not, I might of even bought another pair of the Sand gloves. But what sold me on these was the Connect Fingertips on the gloves. I have my phone mounted in a RAM mount on the bars, which I use a lot when on on the road. From checking emails, GPS, calls ( via my Sena headset) to controlling my music on those longer rides. So the ability to do all that at a long stop light or stop sign WITHOUT actually pulling over, unzipping my sleeves and taking off my gloves... is awesome.

Like the previous reviewer said, the Connect material is NOT the entire fingertip as shown on here or the Rev'It website. Instead it is about a 1/4 inch thick band on the point of the fingertips between the leather palm side and the upper textile side. Which actually is better because you can now use your fingertip more like a precise stylus, versus having to lay your finger flat on the screen less accurately. Here's a picture of the Connect tips on the gloves I got.

Now onto the fit....they do run a hair on the smaller side. They're more in keeping with Rev'It's older European cut gloves than the newer stuff. My 2+ year old Sand gloves are 2XL's so I got these in 2XL as well. My Sands fit me perfectly ( but they are also broken in with alot of miles on them), but these Neutron's fit on the tighter side. The cuffs are actually slightly on the loose side and so is the thumb too. The overall fit is perfectly snug, but when you grab the bars they get a little tight. Mostly at the knuckle area where the thick PU knuckle protection doesn't stretch with the rest of the glove. But then again, these glove's have alot more protection than my Sand's have. And the leather palm is significantly thicker than the Sands too.

But I just got these today and only had them on for about an hour ; so hopefully they will stretch out and loosen up over a few hundred miles and warm days.

So my advice is, If you have older Rev'It gloves in a size that works for you, they probably will fit ( pending break in), but if you have newer Rev'It gloves, order a size up. i just remeasured my hand to be sure and I should be an XL, but I wear 2XL's. I think if I exchanged them for 3XL's, they might be too loose in some areas.

Otherwise, the gloves so far seem great. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that the blue striping around the cuff area is a darker navy blue than the pictures more vibrant blue. If you're into those sort of details.

Really Nice Gloves!!!
These are made much better than I expected. As it is they are not cheap but when you see them it's easy to tell where the money is spent. These are well designed and made with top quality materials. Easily the nicest lightweight gloves I have ever owned or looked at closely. They are a little on the small side but, for me, not as much as some people seem to think. I usually try to find tight fitting gloves anyway so I just used the "sizing chart" and it worked out for me. The one thing I really dislike about these gloves is the rubber pads that they put on the back of the gloves. First off there is no way that anyone is going to land on the back of their hands and two the rubber is very stiff and has a bad effect on how the gloves bend and form to your hand when you close your hand even slightly. It really is ridiculous how dumb it is to include this useless detail on gloves this well designed. The only thing I can figure is that those pads are added so as to appeal to those riders who just love the "Terminator" look.

Revzilla, as always, is the absolute best company to buy from online. I just love these guys. I've had years of great experiences with them. I recently tried to talk them into carrying a brand that I liked (BonnArmour) so I could buy it from them rather than someone else.

My favorite gloves
I have had these for about 8 months now and they have held up perfectly, in fact they have gotten better with time and fit my hands better then any glove I have. I live in AZ and temps get hot so once it's over 65 degrees I break these out. If it's colder then 65 you can't count on these to keep you warm, nor should they as they are marketed and designed for hot weather. They are a great short cuff glove that work well with the iPhone screen. I did order an XL size and I'm not a huge guy at 5.8 and 175 lbs, but my hands are pretty big. I figured I 'd need a large, but in the video Anthony strongly recommends ordering up a size so I listened and I'm glad I did. Use the measurement guide and error on the next size up if you are on the line. Anyway they have held up great and no complaints and they get a lot of use.

GOOD BANG FOR THE BUCK
These are great looking gloves but I haven't had a chance to actually wear them while riding. The one point that has already been made is that they run small. I normally take a large but ordered an XL because of other reviews. These XL's fit perfectly. They are actually a wee bit snug but time and use will resolve that.

NIce summer gloves
They do fit about one size small. I wear LG in Cortech, Tour Master and Olympia, but ordered XL in these. A bit tight at first but now a perfect fit. May not allow as much air flow as some, but those provide very little protection. These appear to be substantial enough to provide good abrasion protection. I like the slightly longer cuff, it covers my wrist to the jacket. Short gloves allow a gap between the glove and jacket.

Great mid-level glove.
I was a longtime fan of the Icon Twentyniners but that glove was rather minimalist in its palm protection. In my search for a replacement that fit as well and looked as good I contacted RevZilla about some questions regarding Rev'It!'s sizing, etc. Long story short, after talking with them I placed an order for these and have been happy ever since. This is a great glove in terms of fit and function, it offers good protection while making sure not to make you look like a space ranger.

Nice and cool
I saw that most people said these gloves run large so I ordered one size up. If you're a woman I'm not sure I would. The gloves are a bit big on my wrists, the Velcro pulls over just enough where I can tighten them up sufficiently and overall the gloves are a little big, but not to where I would exchange them. I'm just getting back from a road trip with these, a couple of days in very hot weather, and my hands never felt hot at all. I bought the blue, wanted the white to keep them as cool as possible but they were sold out. Probably just as well since these are going to do double duty as my dirt gloves. The finger pad for touch screen devices works well, used on my samsung galaxy 5, no problems at all.

Decent lightweight gloves
I was looking for gloves that allowed good airflow, along with some protection for the summer months. I got these on sale, and they fit the bill. The protection is minimal, with only rubber on the back of the hand, and small patches on the top of the fingers, plus a foam patch on the heel of the hand. I guess that if you start adding more stout protection, you would take away airflow and add cost. As for the fit, I found these just a bit small, I considered exchanging them for the next size up, but didn't. As they break in, I'm glad that I kept the ones that I have, they are stretching and conforming to my hand. The gloves have a patch of material that works with touchscreen electronics, however it is a very small piece, right on the tip of the finger. It would have been nice to have covered the end of the first finger and thumb, I still have to remove my gloves to do anything with my phone or GPS. I do recommend these for commuters, or in-town riders that want to wear something, but still want airflow. For highway, or sport riders, invest a few more dollars, and get something with more protection and features.

Early Days, but all good so far
Bought these for some protection and warmth in the early fall. Seem to be a good combination of protection and a little added warmth.
Fit a little small for me around the collar. Once i pull them on, they are ok, fingers are appropriate length, just the entry way is a little tight (!)

I wanted a better pair of gloves than what I had and these looked to offer the right amount of protection/ feel/ appearance. I've worn them in temps ranging from about 50 degrees in the early morning, to 85 degrees in the middle of summer and I'm happy with them.

I needed a good backup pair for my wife to use and for me when my Held Sambia gloves are wet. These are a great glove for the price and the fingertip pad for use with any Apple iProduct is awesome. For the price, these are great gloves. As usual, Anthony's review was spot on.

Needed a euro fit glove. I have long skinny fingers and have had a hard time finding comfortable protective gloves. These are great and exactly what I was looking for. They do run VERY small though. I have a pair of large leather gloves for winter riding and usually wear large to extra large. I ordered XXL and they are still quite tight even after 1K miles of summer riding. Might have ordered xxxl and been even more happy. Great features, look great, comfortable in hot to cool weather.

I wanted a glove that was subtle and not bulky and could work with my phone. These definitely do all of those well. These get pretty cold and wet when it rains, but it's not the end of the world. Definitely a summer/fall glove, just be careful when it's cold. Not a tremendous amount of protection (compared with the $200+ gloves) but they feel solid. They do have some slight palm protection, definitely not a bad idea.

Santino C on Jul 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: no, even they are mostly made of textile, they have some parts made of leather, they cannot be used on rain unless you like your hands soaked in water
