John G asked: Hi, would you recommend this product on a CBR600RR? The manual says to use SAE 10W-30. Mar 19, 2015

Sean M: Yes its fine, the 40 means it just gets more viscous (heavier weight) at higher operating temps(standard based on 100 degrees Celcius) which will lead to a perceived protection of engine parts at higher reving/engine temps. However heavier weights are believed to have a higher drag time in circulating in your engine which can lead to hotter operating temperatures. I use this for breaking in an engine as it provides good detergent qualities because of it being mineral. However if frequent reving will be occurring, assuming your bike is fully broken in and over 2000-2500 miles then I would recommend switching to a full synthetic SAE 10W-30 as it will not be as heavy, and it will be a bit more slippery which will cool high performance engines better. Hope that helped. Mar 19, 2015

A shopper asked: Hello,

I'm a new rider and was wondering if this oil would work on a Kawasaki Ninja 300? Also is mineral oil used synnomously as conventional oil?

Thank you!
