Remus Hypercone Slip-On Exhaust Triumph Street Triple / R

Feast your eyes on the Remus HyperCone Exhaust System, an exhaust that offers technical sophistication in combination with extraordinary design.

The innovative highlights of the Remus HyperCone Exhaust are the carbon outlet cap with a titanium or stainless steel sleeve. The hexagonal design of the outlet cap and the conical silencer body guarantees maximum ground clearance while cornering.

Remus engineers utilized state-of-the-art materials to reduce the overall weight and flow optimized the internal components to control back pressure. All this in addition to the well known Remus sound with performance and torque increases make the Remus HyperCone the spearhead of the Remus Sport Exhaust Line.

A pleasure on the eyes and on the ears
I did a lot of research before buying this exhaust, off and on for the better part of a year. I decided on this one and I could not be happier.

The price is a bit steep, but the finish is amazing, I knew it was a well built and finished product when I bought it. That being said, being completely blown away when I opened the box, was quite a surprise.

Easy to install about sums it up on install. I didn't need the directions, they are are VERY genetic. I would say they are probably the same direction Remus includes with all there products. Give the directions a quick read and you will have the pipe installed before you know it. Probably took me no more then 30 mins to remove the stock pipe and install the Remus.

Performance, Its a slip on exhaust, your going to gain a few horse power I have yet to notice much of a difference slightly better low end, seems to come off the lights a little smother then the stock.

Weight, its a few lbs lighter then the stock exhaust.

Noise, I know that the part you are really wanting to know about. To sum it up, its amazing! slightly deeper then the stock exhaust all around, not much louder with the baffle in. that was what I was going for, I like to not upset the neighbors if I come or go early or late. Under engine breaking it burbles and sounds amazing. I was with a buddy the other day and he said more then once how good it sounded.

If your looking for a slip on exhaust that is awesome to listen to and to look at it. The Remus Hypercone is a definite winner.

Love it.
Easy to install, just unbolt the stock one, slip this on, tighten a few bolts and away you go. Sounds awesome. Love it.

Opening the box was the hardest part of the install
Seriously they it was in a box that was in a box. It was boxception.

However once you have moved past the dual box protection layer the rest of the install was very straightforward, it only uses one of the original two mounting locations which has one 12mm bolt and nut.

Finish looks sweet, I got the matte black one with the carbon fiber tip.

Price is a little steep for a simple slip on but if you look past that it is a solid product.

Sounds good as well, came with 2 baffles, a race baffle and a standard baffle. I am currently running it with no baffle and it is loud but not obnoxiously so.

The Remus Hypercone silencer's aesthetic seems to compliment the bike better than similar products. Additionally, the augmentation of the exhaust timbre (according to my Youtube research) was superior with this product as compared with its competitors. Having lived with it for six months, I can confirm it's awesomeness :-) Naturally, this represents my opinion; be sure to perform your own research.

I did some research and decided to go with Remus. Two main reasons: the way it looks on the Triumph Street Triple and the tone. Oh, I am confident because I purchase this from Revzilla.

Will this exhaust require a re-map?
Johnathan P on Mar 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I rode around without the remap for one night and I have to say, despite many reviews I've read, here and elsewhere, I could instantly tell there is an absolute difference. The wonderful throttle response and linearity this bike is praised the world over is definitely missing, though perfectly ok to ride as stated above. Light throttle applications and gentle revs will reveal it the most as well as fattening up the midrange. Get the remap from your dealer. It's relatively cheap and makes it correct. You're dropping a fair load of cash for this thing (totally worth it) as it is. I'm sorry I'm a little over opinionated about this but I feel the difference more than enough to warrant the small cash outlay. Hopefully this helps. I guess the short answer is: no, it does not REQUIRE a remap.
does it come with the two baffles? the street and the race one? thanks
A shopper on Oct 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No it doesn't unfortunately... Just the exhaust with a baffle already in it. I'm not sure exactly which one it is though...
Hi, does this product come with the race baffle as well?
Michael B on Sep 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No, it now only comes with the street or touring baffle, which is only somewhat louder than stock. But, if the baffle is too quiet and baffleless (probably isn't a word) is too loud or you're going on a long trip, then you can trim the baffle to your liking. To further elaborate you're probably seeing multiple baffles online and in reviews but as of around June 2014 this is no longer included. Hope this helps.
Does anyone know where we can buy the race baffle for this exhaust? As I believe it does not come with one anymore.

Thanks,
Dan
A shopper on Mar 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Mine came with both and I bought it within the last month. Street was inside, race wrapped up. Both say "not for road use " but the "street" is obviously larger. If you have questions you can call Remus USA. Their number is in their website. They're totally helpful and if you do need to buy one they can probably point you in the direction.

DAN V on Mar 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Dan,

I spoke with Patrick at Remus USA the other day about this. He says the race baffle is the silencer without the road baffle. Use a hex key to loosen the hex screw on the inner lip of the road baffle and shimmy it out. Voila!
