Remus Exhaust Headers BMW R1200GS / Adventure

Complete your Remus Exhaust performance package with these Exhaust Headers. The headers feature a 2 into 1 stainless steel design that reduces weight while increasing overall power and torque through out the rpm range. The power and torque gains are directly related to the larger diameter exhaust pipes which allows for better exhaust gas flow and back pressure.

Performance can be further gained with installation of a Remus Slip-On Exhaust. All Remus Exhaust Headers are modular and are compatible with either a OEM muffler or Remus Slip-On Exhaust.

Remus exhaust systems are a direct result of R&D from their extensive involvement in MotoGP, Austrian Supermoto Championships, Himalayan Rally, International German Championship and many more.

Why does Remus use a weld & clamp to hold in unit in place and Akrapovic use s spring system? Is Remus a more precise header?

John B: The Remus is the easiest mechanical job I have ever done. I have an 05 1200gs with 88k hard ridden miles on it both on paved roads and gravel. I also ride firebreaks in the national Forrest and have logged thousands of off road miles. I usually have the dealership handle all my work unless I'm stranded . But when I opened the Remus header box I received from revzilla I decided to do the job myself. It took me a total of not more than 30minutes start to finish. Now the best news. The header worked seamlessly with my stock silencer that I decided to keep it for awhile. The added power is astounding. I'm 6'5" and 270 lbs and my bike will stand straight up now with no effort. I had pulled wheelies before but had to try . But now it's just that much more powerful. I can't speak to the acrovic pipe but the Remus is an EXACT fit. No fiddling around to line things up. The weld and clamp combo allows for an exact fit . So to get to the point finally . I feel the Remus is a great deal . I was referred to the Remus pipe by guys that I see at the shop and that I ride with . All gs riders and they recomended it so that's why I went with it. I'm really glad I did. Feb 6, 2015
