The RAM-B-176-UN4 consists of a double socket arm, hardware for mounting to your motorcycle stem, and finger grip cell phone holder. not for cbr500r
This product is not for the cbr500r because the hole in the steering column is bigger than the ram's stem. Other than that, it works as advertised.

Just a solid phone mount!
I purchased this kit to hold my iphone 5s on my bike as I ride to use it as a GPS display. Buying the kit seemed like the safest and quickest way to get in on the RAM product line although it did not present much savings buying them as a kit or individual parts.

The mount is solid and the plastic parts feel tough and confidence inspiring. The phone mounts to the phone base very securely as well. No fear of phone coming loose while riding on bumpy sections of road.

The intermediate arm that came with the kit is rather long (3.5" to 4") and I had to be creative with the angles to position the phone in such a way it does not obscure the view from my instrument cluster. Nothing too bad if that's the only device you have on your triple tree area, but tight otherwise.

The long are will become useful if I replace the phone base with a camera ball mount as it will allow for more range of placement.

Overall, very good product.

Great mount for lots of things
RAM Mounts Stem Mount Finger Grip Cell Phone Kit:
I've been using this mount for two months almost on a daily basis. I have used my GoPro, Cell Phone (Samsung S4 w/ hard shell cover), and my EZ-Pass on this.

Likes:
A variety of uses.

Dislikes:
The mount may become loose over a long period of time. It should be checked about twice a month to make sure its tight. If it becomes loose, simply turn it clockwise until it tightens (takes 5 seconds, no tools needed). I've had it on the track and there is NO need to worry about it becoming loose all of sudden.

I would DEFINITELY get it again.

Love it!
This thing is awesome. I've got it mounted on my 2007 Hayabusa, and it works wonders. I can put up Google Navigation, and see where I'm going, or I can put up My Tracks, and record my canyon rides at a touch... Hard to ride without it now..

Best reliable solution for a SS
One off the only options I've found for a SS bike!
Worked really great on mine GSX-R 750 15, the stem mount is really good and the base seems reliable.
Major con, is that to change the phone size you'll need a screwdriver.
Ram X design seems to be clean and easier, but not so reliable, have seen accident video in YouTube.

Good Product
This product works great. Easy to install and adjust. Only one little problem that I'm having. The ball that the mount tightens onto spins a little too easy and when I hit a few bumps the mount that holds the phone shifts a little bit. I tightened up the screw as much as I can but its still spins a little too easily. I'm going to try to find a way to tighten it a little more. If it wasn't for that I would have given it 5 stars. Maybe it's just the way I installed it so I'm going to reinstall it and see if I did something wrong.

Looked versatile for cell phones & GPS. But works excellent on 08 hahaha for positioning.just have to cut tampered shaft a little longer during installation.

First great on my R1, also great to be able to adjust when carrying tank bag and get it right in the sweet spot for screen viewing and fingertip access to cell phone. Been doing great for over a year so far.

hello there i just want to know if i need any additional mounting bracket to install this one or can i install it in any screw hole?? thanks
A shopper on Sep 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Hello, I purchased this kit, and it comes with everything you need to mount it to any screw hole. It's a great package! Buy it now!
Will a Samsung Galaxy S5 mount with this?
A shopper on May 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I keep an S4 in an Otterbox on mine, no problem. Just test fit the arrangement with the various arms supplied and make sure your power/usb/volume buttons/ other ports are not obstructed when secured. My prior phone lined up exactly with volume-down, and I ended up removing that arm entirely to alleviate the problem!

Although, my next unit will be a galaxy Note, and I'm pretty sure that will be a stretch (literally).
Has anyone tried this mount with the new iPhone 6?
michael s on Jan 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The ram mount is of good quality fit perfectly the only issue I have is the nut that holds phone bracket to stem mount keeps coming lose but what do u expect at 180 mph. Don't know about iPhone I use Samsung s4 it's never fallen out of holder it has a lot of adjustments for any phone.
hi there

i was wondering if you carry the short double socket arm and can send it along with the kit instead of the long double socket arm?

thanks
Fahad A on May 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The ram mount kit comes with the 3" double socket arm. If you wanted the short 2" double socket arm, you have to buy it separate. You can always call revzilla and speak with customer service. Maybe they can switch it up.
Will the iPhone 5s fit this mount?
A shopper on Mar 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm an Android guy myself. But since the mount 'is' fully size adjustable? I really don't see why not!
Does it come with everything needed to attach it to a motorcycle?
A shopper on Jun 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Comes with enough parts to fit virtually all types of motorcycles, past present and probably future.
Will it fit a 2014 CBR 500R ?
A shopper on Jun 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: IT should it fits in the hole at the triple tree as long as that is hollow it will work
Greetings I see people install this to there screw hole on there fork nut. I have a 2014 ninja 300 my fork nut does not have a screw hole where could I install this?
A S on Apr 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: In such case you may want to consider the ram mount with the U bolt shape adapter for the handle bars.
