RAM Mounts Stem Base
Provides solution for basic mounting
Mount is adequate for small cellphone or any light device. The hardware is designed to expand in the steerer tube hole when the top screw is tightened. I could not get it tight enough to not be able to rotate the ram ball with light pressure. I have used it with a camera mounted on a track day and it worked ok but you must check tightness periodically to ensure it will not spin or move when going through corners. My particular steerer tube is very small diameter (02' GSX-R 750) so am using the smallest locknut collar. Larger diameter steerer tubes probably not an issue with getting it tight enough to not move.

Great mount, works adequately, but difficult installation.
I bought this mount with a short arm and a x grip phone holder. I really do like the mount as a whole, but installation is extremely difficult. I would recommend watching one of the other videos on youtube instead of following the confusing directions that are provided. Once installed, however, the mount works great. It has held my phone in place securely through potholes, wheelies and high speeds. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a good, reliable phone holder. The only downsides are the price and the difficult installation.

Works great on my 2014 ZX6R 636 with slight modification for my Ohlins Steering Damper
This mount works great for mounting my phone or GPS unit, I have not had any issues with it so far. It did however require a slight modification in order to clear my Ohlins Steering Damper. I have uploaded a video on YouTube outlining my installation and modification for anyone who might find it helpful.
Aside from the minor modification installation was pretty straight forward and using RevZilla's beard scale I would personally rate it a 1 out of 3.

Almost cost me $700
Bought this a couple weeks ago with the finger mount and arm for my phone. Was not very easy to get installed. I'm pretty handy so I was able to get it done but someone with less shop experience might wind up ruining the mount trying to get it in their stem. Followed the instructions but the fit was very poor when doing it by the book. Wound up having to trim and test little by little to get it right. Had a hard time getting it to friction fit right enough to tighten the screw but managed to get it set. Once it fit it seemed to stay in the stem alright but the base would swivel 360 degrees easily which concerned me at first. I didn't want to turn my phone into a pinwheel at whatever speed. Once the arm was on though the stem didn't rotate and seemed to stay in place well. Until today. Hit moderately hard bump and it snapped right off. Didn't notice until a little ways down the road. My brand new phone was stuck between the dash cluster and my air intake. Brand new HTC 10 so its not like my phone is a brick. It doesn't even have a case on it. Super lucky it didn't cost me big bucks. Kinda dissapointed, had high hopes. The best type of mount for a sport bike without having to drill holes.

Good mounting option for Smart Phones
Have a 2014 R6. Saw these phone mounts on youtube. Everyone who used it said its a great product. So I tried it myself and it gets the job done without worrying about losing cell phone while riding.

Does not fit correctly on my Street Triple
Impossible to fit the product on a 2014 Triumph Street Triple unless you remove the handlebars first which isn't an option. Even tried a different approach to the install by pushing the plug from the bottom of the stem hole but that did not work either, it was always loose. Get the U-Bolt instead.

If you are like me and didn't measure your fork stem opening first then this product didn't work, if you measure first the stem hole and make sure the thing will fit then this product will be great. I had to take the top part and shave it to make it fit my CBR1000RR stem opening because the hole was just barely smaller than the top part of the rubber part that is big. I feel like the way I shaved it, to make it fit it will work for me but it was my fault I didn't read the measurements.
