RAM Mounts Fork Stem With Diamond Base and Double Socket Arm Kit
The RAM-B-176 consists of a fork stem motorcycle base, double socket arm and diamond base adapter. The diamond adapter base has a hole pattern that matches the industry standard AMPS hole pattern and will connect to a large variety of RAM Mount and third party cradles. The mount is designed with a RAM 1" diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment points at both ends of the double socket arm allowing for almost infinite adjustments and perfect viewing angles.
The fork stem base is one of the cleanest ways to mount small electronics on your motorcycle. Simply slide the assembly into the hole of the stem and tighten the machine screw to create a tight fit. This part is designed to fit into the cylindrical bore wall of fork stems and will work with stems that measure from 12 -20mm and 28mm or 0.5” – 1.10” at the following intervals:
Twists too easily and the arm is really long
After installation I noticed that the stem mount turns too easily and will not stay firmly in one spot, no matter how tight it is. Also, to get a good tuck behind my small windscreen, the arm has to be positioned straight back over the tank or forward over my key to keep out of my helmets way. It is kind of irritating because my helmet bumps the phone when it is positioned over the tank and distracts me while riding on the track. Position to the front and you will find that it almost sit on your key if you have your legs thrown over an S1000RR or HP4. Also, it will block the speedometer and rpm gauges as well. The arm that connects the balls on both ends is too long. Wish they made a compact version. You should be okay if you are just riding on the street. As for my riding on the track, it does not meet my expectations and I am going to return this through the manufacturer.

Great mount but needs mod on 2012CBR1000RR
This thing is great. I do a decent amount of comuteing and this makes it so much esier to have my gps music and even messaging (at stop lights of course) at my finger tips.
However I bought this because I thought it said it would fit on my 2012 cbr 1000rr. It alas did not :(. The rubber insert was to small (cone section) or to large(straight section) for the steering stem. This problem was easily solved with a quick trip to the hardware store and $1.11. I purchased a 1" rubber stopper and a washer that fit better than the ones provided. I sanded the stopper down the the appropriate size ( much less than trying to sand the straight part of the rubber provided). I thin drilled the stopper out as well as the washer. Then I assembled as directed and it worked great.
Side note I over tightened the screw to fast and It heard up the nut/washer combo and pulled the nut through the black bottom washer. So do it slow and steady

High quality mount, just what you'd expect from RAM
This is another great mount from RAM. It provides a very clean install. The instructions were clear and the kit included all necessary hardware making installation a breeze (we installed it in a parking lot with a multi tool). I have no problem recommending this mount.

Phillip M: I was looking for something that didn't mount to my handle bars because I didn't want to limit my turning radius. I was also looking for something that would block my view of the gauges. With this RAM stem mount I'm hoping it's centered and low profile.Apr 2, 2014
justin a:The best way to make sure it fits is too look at your bike. This mounts to the steering stem if the stem is hollow it will fit. There may be a cap ontop of the stem that can be removed. Aug 5, 2014
Alessandro A:This is universal. I originally got it for my 2012 honda CBR 250R and now I have a 2014 honda CTX700ND. This is the complete kit. When you are ready to take it to the new motorcycle, just call and get the expeding rubber. Ps the metal oring is very sheep and not plated so it will rust on you bike so just go and get a rust proof one.Mar 14, 2014
