Perfect for my needs
It looks a lot better that the factory windscreen and provides the extra protection I desired. It is about 2" wider and taller in the low setting that the factory one in the high setting. It rides much quieter and the wind just touches my shoulders slightly (I felt much more wind with the factory screen). It looks more flexible, but this was not an issue, even at high speeds. I can just see over it in the low setting (I am 5'9"), which is the perfect height for me to control helmet buffeting and still ride quiet. It does not hit the bars or mirrors with the bars fully turned. An awesome deal for a product that works so well.

Great Lines
The shield has great lines that match the bikes contours unlike some of the others available. It's a great replacement.

Nice aftermarket screen
During the process of shipping my bike from CA to MA the shippers had snapped the wind screen in half. When I checked for the price of replacing the screen with an OEM screen it was $380.00 and i searched the internet for an aftermarket screen there were not very many options for a 2012 Vstrom. Nothing that looked good anyway. When I came across this wind screen I wa not sure how it would look on the bike. After it came in it fit like a glove and looks very good. The screen is aprox 4 inches higher than stock and provides better wind deflection and less buffetting. I recommend this screen as a good alternative to the OEM screen.

A new bike?
I have had my Vstrom 650 for about a year and a half. I knew the stock windscreen was somewhat useless but I had no idea how useless it really is until I ordered this windscreen. I'm 5'9" - 5'10" and I have to say that this windscreen has made all the difference in the world with regard to enjoying the vstrom 650 even more. The instructions want you to set the windscreen at the highest setting but it looks somewhat like a top hat at that level. I moved it down to the lower setting and used two rubber bumpers to keep the lower part of the screen off of the front fairing. At this height, it is perfect. Yes, there is still some buffeting and cross winds, when strong, can make that worse. Buy, the difference from stock to this is SERIOUSLY night and day. The screen looks great too. There is NO interference between the mirror and the windscreen at the high or low setting. You should note one thing though. I ordered the dark smoke and I would not recommend this. If the screen is at the top setting I have to look straight through the plastic. You can forget night riding this way. Also, the dark smoke reflects the handlebar and tank area quite a lot. I should have gone for the clear or light smoke. Yes the black is cool but it isn't as functional as the lighter tints would be.

As expected. No issues, but...
I can comment on this windscreen from the view of a 2014 V-Strom 650. The bike is known for it's poor stock windscreen, lots of buffering. This windscreen handles about 90% of that buffering. Not all of it is gone, but a lot of it. The issues where installation. The way you go about it...there has to be a better way. Though the instructions don't state it, I would recommend removing enough of the panel that the screen mounting pegs attach to be loosen and pulled back. The mounting hardware is not robust and of the 4 mounting pegs, at least one will require gripping the back-side of the peg to hold while screwing in the expansion screw. This is not the fault of the windscreen, but Suzuki's mounting requirement. FYI: You can buy replacement mounting hardware, which I did after messing up the first set.

Perfect.
I bought this windshield before taking a 4000 mile trip in the Rockies this summer. It eliminates the noise and buffeting of the stock windshield. Excellent wind and weather protection. Easy ten minute installation.
A great addition to the bike.

Puig smoke colored windscreen
The windscreen was placed on a 2013 Suzuki V-strom Adventure after removing the stock screen. At 6'4" I wanted to achieve additional buffering from highway speeds for my head and my wife while riding two up. This screen has provided the desired results for which I was looking for and the light smoke color has added to the looks of the bike. The added height and color also provides a look that has been voiced by others as being a nice compliment to the bike . Installation is pretty straight forward and took about 20 minutes from the time it took to removing the factory screen to completion of the new. Bang for the buck is good and I would recommend this product. Revzilla is spot on from beginning to end as has been proven by multiple purchases, always satisfied......

This windshield is excellent
Installation was simple and quick. The instructions were easy to follow. There are also several videos on YouTube to watch before it arrives if you are unsure about DIY installation. The screen is wider and taller than the OEM . My rides are much more comfortable. I am 6'2" and know my head is not being puahed around. The light smoke also made a great cosmetic changes to my 2012 Vstrom.

Good With Shortcommings
On the plus side, this screen is a much warmer ride than the OEM. It blocks the wind nicely from my chest and face. It also looks pretty damn trick on the bike. I thought it might be too big and mess with the slick aesthetic from the OEM screen, but, it looks much better.

What I don't like is the buffeting at highway speeds. Get up over 60 mph and the helmet noise gets pretty turbulent. The oscillations are different from the OEM, but, are very present. With the OEM shield, the helmet vibration is vibratory, but, with this screen, the oscillations are thumpy, kind of like with some cars when the back window is open. THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP! It's quite jarring and I don't know if I'm going to keep it on the bike. I'll play with the height adjustment (it's at the top tier), and will modify my review if anything changes.

I've put Puig windscreens on 2 other bikes over the last few years. They are high quality windscreens and have excellent shapes.

Just installed the Puig Touring windscreen on my 2012 VStrom 650 adventure. I've put about 200 miles on it the past 2 days and I'm still getting a ton of wind noise in my Shoei Qwest helmet (I'm 6'2"). Does anyone know if the sell longer / shorter mounting hardware? I'd like to adjust the rake to make the windscreen more vertical, hoping that will divert the air above my helmet instead of into my face.
Mike H on Mar 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Mike, my VS is the same as yours and I installed the Puig using the highest mounting points. I have a stock seat and suspension. I am 6'1".
The Puig is certainly an improvement over the stock but not as good as I was hoping. The wind noise in my Bell helmet is not too bad.
I have never heard of any adjustments that can be made. Did you try all three mounting positions on the bike? Good luck.
Bill R.
Any fitment issues when making tight turns or locking the steering for a 2014 vstrom 650 with Barkbuster Storm hand guards? Thank you.
Kirby C on Apr 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have the factory hand shields and it did not hit, but I didn't like the shield it gave me a lot of turbulence. I went back to the stock one.
I have a XT VStrom with SW Motech handguards, do you know if I ll have issues when handlebar is all the way one side or the other? it will be touching the windscreen? any cleareance issues with this configuration?
Oscar E on Nov 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You won't have any clearance issues with OEM or other handguards. The sides aren't that wide and plenty of distance between the screen and the handlebars.
