For long distance rides, PUIG introduces the Touring series to minimize the wind blast against the rider. These screens raise the wind blast in several centimeters allowing the rider to keep a more comfortable position riding the motorcycle and a shaded part on the lower section of the screen to cover cables behind the speedometer.

Perfect for my needs
It looks a lot better that the factory windscreen and provides the extra protection I desired. It is about 2" wider and taller in the low setting that the factory one in the high setting. It rides much quieter and the wind just touches my shoulders slightly (I felt much more wind with the factory screen). It looks more flexible, but this was not an issue, even at high speeds. I can just see over it in the low setting (I am 5'9"), which is the perfect height for me to control helmet buffeting and still ride quiet. It does not hit the bars or mirrors with the bars fully turned. An awesome deal for a product that works so well.

Nice aftermarket screen
During the process of shipping my bike from CA to MA the shippers had snapped the wind screen in half. When I checked for the price of replacing the screen with an OEM screen it was $380.00 and i searched the internet for an aftermarket screen there were not very many options for a 2012 Vstrom. Nothing that looked good anyway. When I came across this wind screen I wa not sure how it would look on the bike. After it came in it fit like a glove and looks very good. The screen is aprox 4 inches higher than stock and provides better wind deflection and less buffetting. I recommend this screen as a good alternative to the OEM screen.

The shield has great lines that match the bikes contours unlike some of the others available. It's a great replacement.

V A: Better wind protection than the stock windscreen of my V-Strom 650, 2013yMar 23, 2014
Michael E: Need more wind protection as I'm 6'3" tall and the stock shield doesn't provide wind block adequately.Feb 25, 2014
Mike H asked:Just installed the Puig Touring windscreen on my 2012 VStrom 650 adventure. I've put about 200 miles on it the past 2 days and I'm still getting a ton of wind noise in my Shoei Qwest helmet (I'm 6'2"). Does anyone know if the sell longer / shorter mounting hardware? I'd like to adjust the rake to make the windscreen more vertical, hoping that will divert the air above my helmet instead of into my face.Mar 24, 2014
William R:Hi Mike, my VS is the same as yours and I installed the Puig using the highest mounting points. I have a stock seat and suspension. I am 6'1". The Puig is certainly an improvement over the stock but not as good as I was hoping. The wind noise in my Bell helmet is not too bad. I have never heard of any adjustments that can be made. Did you try all three mounting positions on the bike? Good luck. Bill R.Apr 1, 2014
