Puig Touring Windscreen BMW R1200GS / Adventure
Tall rider review
I'm 6'7" and the the stock GSW windscreen is just ok. I get buffeting wind forces about chin level. With the Puig windscreen, those forces are moved to the top of my helmet. Is it as if I was 5'2"? no, but I can hear the motor more than the wind and that's what you want. Any taller and thewindscreen would need more support to keep it steady. As it is, there is no need for further modification. Good job Puig. We have a winner!

Big improvement over the stock windshield on 2016 GSA
The stock windshield on my 2016 R1200GSA was a big disappointment. Lots of buffeting and the wind blast directed all of the bugs directly at my face shield even when I had the seat in the lowest position. (I am 6'2" and 195 lbs) The Puig windshield is a huge improvement at a bargain price. Now I can ride with the seat in the high position, ( more comfortable for me) plus the wind just barely touches the very top of my helmet ( which is good for the helmet venting) but the visor stays clean. I can now hear the engine better instead of the roar of the wind. There seems to be no need to add strengthening gizmos to the shield either. The shield is rock solid as fast as I have ridden so far ( 80 mph on a short test). The BMW factory optional TALL windshield is the same size as the Puig and it doesn't require strengthening either. It just costs 3 times as much. The Puig is simple to install, took me about 45 minutes by myself. The quality seems at least as good if not better than the stock shield and the bonus is the design looks like stock too. Another bonus is the Puig shield is flatter than the stock shield above the GPS so my radar detector sticks to the Puig but wouldn't on the stock shield because of the curve. I noticed that the handlebars at full lock will hit the Puig if the shield is in the highest position but just barely so not a problem. ( Who uses full lock on the highway?) Overall this shield is a must have if you are over 6' tall and ride long distances on the highway. I haven't tried it in the dirt. The stock shield is probably preferable if you ride off road because it is smaller. Revzilla got the shield to me super fast and it was in a well protected box. Revzilla rocks!!

Great for tall riders
I'm 6' 5" and the standard GSA screen was just too short. This Puig looks like the original screen but is taller and wider. It's thicker material so it doesn't flex as much. Scratches can be buffed out with a plastic polish. This was an excellent purchase at a reasonable price .

Excellent whindshield to replace stock
Stock windshield had too much buffeting and hence lots of noise in the helmet, no matter which adjustment I had it set on the GS. I'm 6'0''.
This Puig windshield resolved that with me easily finding a position that works well to alleviate the wind noise. This seems mostly be as a result of the height and width improvements ( ie larger).
Quality seems to be great. No burrs, and optical clarity is excellent.
Any mounting issues are BMW design related, tight fit for any wrenches to remove screws. Fitting the brackets turned out to be more challenging than expected, instructions as to what to expect in terms of fit and effort could have been more helpful.
Can't speak to durability - only have had it mounted for a few rides, but the windshield feels solid and I see no flaws that would lead to its failure.
The BMW support brackets do well enough to support it, but I have opted to order some reinforced brackets just to make sure the extra weight of the windshield won't cause any long term issues.
Style wise, it matches the bike well.
Packing the windshield could have been better. Windshield was directly on bottom of box, unprotected on that side, tons of air pillows on top. So no protection on one side and excessive on the other. Luckily all was well, not a scratch.

I ride a GS and I am 6-4 and this is perfect. In the upright position I can ride with my shield up and not wind in my eyes. Just perfect. In summer I just switch back to the OEM (which takes 5 to 10 minutes). Highly recommend if you are tall and want the rain and wind out of our face

very good touring screen
installed this screen on 2014 GS with low seat and its very tall, with windscreen in low position i can just see over the top, i f you are shorter than 5'6" with low seat this may be an issue. the screen works great creating a calm area even riding with visor open on freeway but you may want to add reinforcement to screen as it flexes a lot at freeway speeds, no signs of failure yet from this.

Perfect for this 6'2 rider.
Purchased this to cut back the wind when I'm on the highways. I'm 6'2 and this is a perfect size for me. Highly recommended for tall riders. The quality is just as good as the shield that came with the bike.
