Good, but need alterations
I am 6' tall (and use have the tall comfort seat for F800gt).
The screen takes the air off my shoulders and puts it about the top half of the helmet. When I first installed, it had a defining wind turbulence (even at 30 mph) at my helmet. The buffeting was horrible.
The bottom 2/3rds of the screen is shaped exactly like the factory stock windscreen - except it does not have the two opening at the dash controls like the stock. The Puig screen has the indentations where the openings should be, but for some reason Puig does not route them out. I took a dremel tool and neatly cut the openings as they are on the stock screen.
This took away the buffeting and the noise completely. Puig really needs to make this alteration part of their product. However, if you are skilled (and careful) with a dremel, you can make this fix yourself.
My only other minor complaint with the screen is that it is slightly thinner (1mm) than the stock screen.

Good Value!!
Seems durable and it brought the wind from beating me in the middle of the chest to just the top of my head.. I'm 6'. A few of the predrilled holes were borderline to big big the washers held in in.

Best improvement for the money.
This windscreen drastically improves the ride of my f800gt, from being blown off the bike to a comfortable rider. By far the best bang for the buck in improving the ride.

Touring Windscreen a must have
Bought the BMW knowing that I would need a taller w/screen, since I am 6'3" tall, with the stock screen I thought I was getting blown off the bike on the interstate, after installing the PUIG I now can sit comfortably on the bike and enjoy the ride. Only issue was that after I installed the w/screen I found several scratches on the top right of the screen, luckily the people at Puig include a logo sticker which when positioned covered the small scratches.
It was a chore taking apart the front of the bike to install the shield, it would be nice if the Puig people included the rubber gromets for the holes.
Overall happy for now, just have had the W/Screen for about two weeks.

Big improvement inComfort
The Puig touring windscreen fits my F800GT like the original. It's design improved the airflow and comfort at all speeds. The plexiglass is substantial, clear, and blemish-free. Installation was straightforward with no difficulty. Excellent value.

Will it fit the 2015 f800gt??
A shopper on Nov 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi, This windscreen fit on my 2014 F800GT with no problem. I have seen a 2015 model and the original windscreen looks exactly the same as the one that came off of my 2014. So, my guess is that it should bolt right on?

You could call a BMW dealer and ask if the part number for the 2014 windscreen and the 2015 windscreen are the same, if yes, then this will work for you.

I'll also add that this windscreen didn't quiet the wind noise as much as I had hoped, for it's rather large size, I was hoping for a larger pocket of quiet air?
How tall is the windshield from the bottom to the top? What is the width at the top?
A shopper on May 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Puig website will show the screen as 610mm (H) x 460mm (W) and being 140mm taller than the BMW F800GT OEM screen. These measurements must incl the lowest to the highest points on the screen curvature and also widest points where the screen is fixed to the bike. Actual straight-line measurements (as I have it fitted to my bike) are as follows:
- Height - from lowest apex (under headlight) measuring at the centre of the screen is 575mm (H)
- Width - At its widest point (where its is flared) 575mm (W) then curves in to be 340mm (W) at the very top.
As for actual height above OEM, not sure but the touring screen does take the buffering off the chest. Hope that helps.
how do you take off the ordinal screen on a BMW f800gt to put the new one on?

BEST ANSWER: Enter an answer to this question.REMOVING THE SCREEN

1.Remove the 3 screws each side that hold the black trim (x2) in place at the front of the dummy tank

2.Starting at the rear, carefully prise out the panel so the screw holder is clear of the tank. Do the same for the screw holder at the front that goes under the fairing panel.

3.Once these are free to move, carefully prise the black panel away from the screen with your fingers (it’s a push fit locating pin). Once free remove the panels entirely.

4.Remove the screws each side of the screen that hold it to the fairing (these were hidden by the black panel). Then remove the 3 screws on the front of the screen (5 in total). Remove the screen from the bike and push out the metal washers (note which way they face) and then the rubber mounting grommets.

5.Remove the two anti vibration grommets (they slide out) located next to the mounting holes
I purchased this windscreen and it works great. Unfortunately, I need about 4 to 6 inches in height, can you recommend a spoiler or an extension?

BEST ANSWER: Wunderlich has some functional ones. Quality materials and completely adjustable.
What is the thickness of the Windscreen?
Bob
A shopper on Apr 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Screen is 2 mm thick. I have it fitted to my BMW F800GT and its a solid, perfect fit with minimal to no shudder / vibration.

Being 6ft 1in tall (circa 186 cm) and with a standard OEM seat height, the only issue I have with the screen is that while it provides more protection to chest height, there is a higher concentration of wind on my helmet. Would seem I should have also got the Puig Deflector.
