Puig Touring Windscreen BMW F800GS / F650GS 2008-2013

For long distance rides, PUIG introduces the Touring series to minimize the wind blast against the rider. These screens raise the wind blast in several centimeters allowing the rider to keep a more comfortable position riding the motorcycle and a shaded part on the lower section of the screen to cover cables behind the speedometer.

decent for the money
Let me explain, this screen is far cheaper than most any other out there for the 800 GS, still pricey for what it is though. Wanted a bit better wind protection for a long October in Ohio road trip, while better than stock it still leaves something to be desired. I'm 5'10" and wear an Arai xd4, it did take a lot of wind off the chest, yet did little for the wind noise and buffeting around the head. I could crouch down maybe 2-3" and it was virtually gone. It was made well, thinner material than stock though, looks great in light smoke tint, and noticed very little flex at highway speed. All in all I know I'm not on 1200GS or a touring bike that offers great wind protection, so this screen helped for what I wanted. Can't speak to durability, maybe 1000 mi. on it.

Decent Screen, good price
I installed this screen on a 2012 F650GS. I'm 5'8" 165 lbs. It's a lowered bike and I recently added a Sargent seat.
The installation was simple. It looks nice. I doesn't really add much wind protection. If it were just a little taller and wider it would be perfect. But, the price was good and I wasn't sure if I should add a huge screen on the bike. If I'm looking for cush comfort I have the wrong bike. Anyway, it seems like a pretty decent product. If you're taller than 5'8" and you're looking for really good protection from the elements you may want to look at something else.

Good for 6ft tall rider
Reasonably priced alternative
I would usually ride with the OEM shield adjusted to the tallest setting
With the taller Puig touring windscreen the setting is lowered for most riding and raised when raining
At 6ft, I can comfortably look over the lowered screen and the envelope is perfect.

Good upgrade for the money
I'm 5'10", original windshield was OK except when windy at 60 mph or more. Original windshield created a lot of pressure on the chest and shoulders, and if there were crosswinds was uncomfortable. This windscreen has cured that, now the wind is channeled to the helmet, and crosswind instability is gone. It is not in the way riding off road. Install was easy, 10 minutes going slow.

I was hoping for fewer bugs on the face shield and a quieter helmet, but you can't get it all, especially for this price. My only complaint is that one more mm in thickness would improve the stability of this windscreen, and it does vibrate a little bit at idle.

All in all very happy I did this upgrade, product has been excellent.

Awesome windscreen
The windscreen looks great on the F800. It also performs very well. I have been riding down to freezing and this windscreen really cuts the wind compared to the stock screen. I am 5'10'' for reference.

Wish this screen was 2" taller. I'm 5'8". When I duck down about 2" there's noticeably less buffeting.

Big difference from the stock windscreen on the 650GS. Not perfect like a big touring windscreen but its worth the purchase.

Will the PUIG Touring Windscreen fit my '10 BMW F 650GS? I'm 5'8'' -planning a long road trip and want to reduce/eliminate buffeting/wind resistance.
A shopper on Jul 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: If I'm not mistaken the 650 attachment points are the same as the 800. I have a 2010 f800gs and I was able to put it on without any fitment issues. There is some improvement over the stock windscreen (I'm 6'2''), but I was hoping for more. Here are some other noteworthy items to consider: aesthetically, it looks great. It has the same lines as the stock windscreen, its just about 4" taller. The material is slightly more flimsy than the stock, not just because of height, but it is tolerable. I'm still wanting more wind protection and noise reduction. Before wind was coming in beneath my helmet, now it hits me square in the chin. I am still debating whether I will be keeping it. PowerBronze, CalSci, CeeBailey, Ztechnik, and Givi were other screens I considered.
Does this fit the F700GS?
A shopper on Jan 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure. I put this on my 09 f650gs
How much taller than stock is this windscreen?
A shopper on Dec 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It's about 10 cm. Anyway I'm 1,81 m and after this windscreen I get no buffeting. I get lots of wind on my helmet but it clean air. I like it.
