Puig Racing Windscreen Yamaha FZ6 2004-2006
Excellent aftermarket windscreen
Installed this on my 2005 FZ6, I had the Yamaha OEM "touring screen" on before. This is about two inches shorter in the middle and far shorter around the edges. The factory touring screen created a lot of buffeting and turbulent air that slammed right under my helmet and into my head, making it uncomfortable to ride at track speeds. The Puig screen does not have the same turbulence problem!
I would not recommend this for long distance touring, as the wind tends to hit about two inches below my shoulders (I'm 6 feet tall for reference). However, it is perfect for around town and slims down the front of the bike quite a bit.

Reduces wind and looks great
One of my key issues with my bike was the wind noise. I updated to the PUIG and can definitely tell the difference. This was a good decision.

Looks Great - Easy Install
Not much more to say. Fit was perfect for my 2004 FZ6 and it looks sharp. Took 10 minutes at most to install.

This product has an excellent look when installed. The fit and finish is spot on and the air was deflected well. I would recommend this product.

I got this to help with the wind noise on my FZ6. I wear an HJC IS-16, and spend most of my time on the interstate at about 80mph. I wear NRR33 ear plugs and it's *still* too loud. I notice my ears ringing when I finish a 30 minute ride at that speed unless I hunch my shoulders (which can get uncomfortable after a while). Found this windscreen recommended/used often on the FZ6 forums (apparently the bike is known for terrible aero and high wind noise).
While this windscreen hasn't made it as quiet as I was hoping, it has certainly helped a great deal. My head is almost never knocked around by the wind now. Added bonus: my gas mileage jumped 10%. Same riding style (moderate, not aggressive), same speeds, same guy.
The next step would be a different helmet, but I went for this first since it's price point was much less than an upgraded helmet. Very happy I did; it's helped quite a bit. I no longer have my ears ringing, and even though sometimes I still hunch my shoulders, I don't have to hold them nearly as high. It's also easier to get in the tuck because I don't have to get as low to get behind the windscreen completely.
Definitely recommended as the first upgrade to this bike.

Great looking screen
I've had this screen on my 2005 Yamaha FZ-6 for almost a year now, and I love it. Much better wind protection at speed than the stock screen, and looks better, in my opinion. I get comments on it on almost every group ride.

Looks good on my bike.
The fitting is a little weird, but overall it's really nice, I'd recomend to anyone for a cheap upgrade for your fz6.
