Puig Racing Windscreen Kawasaki Ninja 650 R

Derived from competition, the race bubble design helps diminish the air effect on a rider's helmet.

Features:

  • Made of high impact acrylic, giving each screen added strength and flexibility
  • 3mm thickness helps absorb vibration at high speeds, and offers resistance from cracking or scratching
  • All screens are developed using information from wind tunnel testing

Just what I needed!
First I don't like to say bad things about most products Revzilla sells because all the brands I have bought including many have been well worth the price. But I bought the zero gravity windscreen last month because I wanted clear and as tall as possible to divert as much air over my head for the winter on my 650Ninja. From the moment I opened the package it just looked cheep and was relieved that there was a small scratch directly in the middle. Small enough that if I liked it I could live with it but large enough to send it back and try the Puig. I didn't really want any tint cause I am not a tint kind of guy but I got the light smoke and I must say it is awesome for the money. It is thicker, almost as thick as stock, but optically clear. The edges are rounded and polished like an expensive piece of glass and there are creases that make it very stiff. Unlike the zero gravity unit which was the complete opposite. I was wondering how much it was going to flutter around in the wind. I just put the Puig on and it's 25 degrees in ATL so I have not road tested it but I know it will be as awesome as it looks.

Upgrade Over Stock!
I just recently purchased this windscreen and put it on last night (Sep 9, 2015). Rode it to work this morning and immediately noticed the difference in wind displacement.

While sitting straight up on my 2015 Ninja 650, the wind is directed towards the middle of my helmet. Slightly leaning forward puts the wind at the top of my helmet.

A full tuck puts the wind completely over my entire body, which is much better than stock. With the stock, the wind would still hit the top of my helmet and go right through the air vents, still causing a bit of noise and resistance.

I can see very clearly through the windscreen, even with a dark smoke tint, with no distortion. I can imagine this would be much more difficult at night. so a light smoke would probably work for day/night riding.

I picked this one over the Zero Gravity because of the reports of the ZG windscreen feeling like 1/4 of the thickness and cheap. This one feels like a much higher quality screen than the stock one itself, and it is pretty large!

Good Stuff here
The windscreen is a little wobbly at higher speeds. But that's to be expected. Other than that, the windscreen was super easy to install, took maybe 30 seconds. Definately recommended for daily commuters like myself. Because you can basically put your full helmet underneath it. Anyways. I really enjoy this product. Nuff said.

Simple install and no adjustments
More than sufficient wind protection without changing height , easy install and the dark smoked look goes great with the black trim on the bike. All said and done no complaints.

Exactly what I was looking for
I purchased the dark smoke racing windscreen & am very happy with it. Super easy install. Keeps the wind off the rider - More than 4 inches taller than stock. & it looks cool! Rated durablilty average because I just got it. Note - I use a dark smoke lens on my helmet & I can still see through windscreen on a sunny day. With clear lens, comfortable after dark. Best feature - I can get completely out of the wind or rain.

Great Sport/Touring Windscreen for Ninja 650r
Windscreen is great for sport touring. Super easy to install. A couple inches larger than stock it provides much better coverage. Seem to have less rider fatigue on long trip. Love it so far.

Out of the wind style.
Un-wrapping my new windscreen on Xmas morning I felt just like a kid again, and fitting it to the bike was just like childs play.
It not only gave me the extra height I was looking for ( an extra inch or so in the lowest position compared to the old screen in the highest position.) but also the style in keeping with the sport styling of the ninja. I'm very happy with the purchase and the service from revzilla.

Large but stylish
Fits great on my bike. Pushes wind higher than oem windshield.

Looks great! I like the dark smoke. Feel like it'll keep my display screen from sun beating down on it so hard.

I wanted something a little higher than the stock windscreen. I am 5'11 so I sit a bit tall on the 2014 Kawasaki 650 ABS and ride a lot on highways so this should be perfect. I will update when i get it.

I hated the stock windscreen on the bike. It wasn't tall enough and was tough to tuck behind. This is significantly larger, yet still sleek and gives it that awesome blacked out look.

Just based on good reviews. Thank you.

What are the dimensions of the windscreen? How much higher is it than the stock?
A shopper on Aug 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Rough guess would be about 4"-5" it's a marked improvment over stock one, and it looks way better. I've never had mine above the lowest position and it provides good coverage and deflection.
Where do you place the included decal stickers ?

Just wondering if this would fit my 2014 650L ?
