Puig Fender Eliminator Kit Kawasaki Ninja 650R / ER6n 2009-2011
In My Opinion, the Best Option
First off, allow me to help clarify that this kit doesn't come with turn signals, so you'll have to purchase them separately. Also worth noting; the factory turn signals won't work, or at least not for my bike (2008 Kawasaki ZX-6R).
I was forced to purchase a new brake light when my old one decided to stay lit, as if I was constantly braking. Needless to say, that doesn't exactly lend itself to safe riding conditions, so I immediately bought this as a replacement. I can say that I'm very pleased with the final result, but there are a couple of things I should mention.
First, the instructions that came with the product told me literally nothing on which wire went with which, as the Puig tail light had different colors than my factory one, so I had to experiment a bit. I found that the black wire on the tail light went with the black wire on the bike harness, red went with blue, and yellow went with red. It's not that big of a deal, as I was able to figure it out within a couple of minutes. I just feel it should've been clarified in the instructions.
Second, the product is not a perfect fit. Granted, I was able to get it on with virtually no problems, but the rubber spacers (listed as part# "3" in the instruction document you can check out on this product page) caused it to become a little more narrow than the factory tail light bracket. I had to pull the bracket apart ever-so-slightly to get it to fit properly. Mind you, it wasn't difficult at all, it's just not a 100% perfect fit.
All in all, it's a great product. The brake light shines clearly and visibly, and the bracket holding it all together feels solid and hardy. I'd recommend this to anyone with a 2007-2008 ZX-6R.

Holes for license plate are too close together, unable to mount plate.
This particular eliminator kit comes with a flaw. Assuming all motorcycle license plates throughout the United States are the same size, it cannot be mounted to the bracket without modification. The holes on the bracket are too close together, so the holes on the plate will not line up properly and will not allow you to mount the license plate at all.
It is a solid piece and was easy to attempt to install but once I realized that plate wouldn't mount up, it had to be returned.
Also, it does NOT come with a light. They sell it separately and your OEM one will not fit. I read another review on another site for a different motorcycle and they said the same thing about the holes being too close together. Perhaps Puig should look into this.
If the plate mounted, it would be a 5 star.
