Not worth the time
I have always run magnetic plugs in every vehicle I own. Just extra peace at mind. However this one left me more worried than relaxed. The material they manufactured the plug itself from (guessing aluminum) is very soft and when torqueing to spec (~30-32ft/lbs) it almost feels as if its about to strip and spin I had to remove it to verify and and found that anything past 28ft/lbs would start giving me that feeling and not hit proper torque spec. I decided to scrap it and put the oem plug back in. So if you do purchase this, start by setting your torque wrench to maybe 25ft/lbs and work your way up. Nobody wants a stripped out pan or plug!

Piece of junk, Revzilla should not even sell this
This thing looked promising at first. The quality looks nice, the magnet is reasonably strong, everything seems great.
I go to put it on my bike (2016 FZ07), and the first red flag is that its head is smaller than the OEM plug by 2mm. Hmm, I think, it must be made of a much tougher material than the factory one. Spoiler alert, it's not. I torque it less than what's desirable because it feels soft, fill the bike with oil.... and it leaks. I slowly torque it more and more, stopping often and wiping the leak to see if it still leaks. Finally I twist the wrench a bit too much, and sure enough it slips free and strips the hell out of the bolt. Now I'm left with a bolt I can't torque, and the best part is it's still leaking. I will have to epoxy a socket onto the bolt just to remove it. Hopefully it didn't permanently damage my bike.
This thing is a poorly made piece of junk and I'm shocked to see Revzilla carrying it. They should stop sales immediately.

Failed on my fz07 and caused leaks
Let me start off by saying I have done oil changes quite a bit before for 3 bikes: a pcx 150, a cbr300f and, my current bike, a fz 07 so far, using all OEM parts and found this upon a friend's recommendation. I saw it was shorter and smaller; however, I did not expect this to cause a leak. Two things happened, the crush washer they send you is for the actual 17mm piece you have originally and will not seat well on this guy (I learned this the hard way), retried it with a new correct sizing crush washer and torqued it to a little less than what Yamaha wanted because I am not a gorilla and the socket actually stretched along the base of the neck near the bolt end. The only thing I can say for this is upon tightening the bolt the paint didn't strip off. Yay?

TL;DR - had a stressful (sorry language police my bad) experience with it compared to OEM parts and I do not recommend.

Looks very nice on my FZ-07
This piece looks nice on my 2015 Yamaha FZ-07. I haven't changed the oil yet since I installed it so I cannot comment on performance just yet but will update my review. It seems that the coloring is wearing off a bit already which is not pleasant though but I can deal with that if it's functional.

Catch more debris, ride more miles!
Pretty basic product here, it's a bolt with a magnetic tip to catch any metal shavings that may be floating around your engine. Quality aluminum, nice finish, cool tethering cable. Installation was about as easy as it gets, as long as you don't go gorilla on it and strip it out. (As others have complained about.) It's aluminum people!

Everyone says to get one, don't know if it really has caught anything but it is there. Magnet does not protrude as much as the photo leads you to believe but it is powerful
