Progressive Suspension Monotube Fork Cartridge Kit For Harley Sportster
True high-performance front suspension has finally made its way to HD. Progressive's state-of-the-art Monotube Fork Kit represents the pinnacle of front end handling. High performance specialty components replace the sloppy open bath damping found in HD forks. The kit features a set of gas charged monotube dampers and a set of custom tuned fork springs so you can convert your bike to cartridge forks whether you have dual damper rod forks or a damper rod/cartridge setup.
Complete fork internal replacement kit
Improved resistance to front brake dive, front end stability & cornering traits, and better avoidance of "bottoming out"
Changing ride height can potentially change many carefully-engineered attributes of your bike, including trail and mechanical trail
A change in ride height at one end of the vehicle usually will require a change at the other end
Prior to purchasing front-end components that are different than your OEM length, please verify that wheel and suspension travel can be altered without causing clearance issues - common interference spots include triple trees, fenders, frame, and of course, the ground
Best thing I've bought for my 15 iron sporty yet!
Stock suspension is horrible on these bikes from the factory. I did the 412's in the rear at 13" and immediatley the front suspension weakness showed even more. I decided to spend the extra coin on the cartridge kit and I'm SOOOO glad I did.
I was having alot of wheel drift problems on the highway and other issues with the front end handling. This kit fixed EVERYTHING. The bike is so planted now on the road, world of a difference. Buy the kit and don't look back!
Best of all, no need to remove the forks to install on a sporty!

Steffen Dreyer T: I need to opgade my suspention for China road - so figured this was the best obtion - and this was the best obtion - better cornering and shorter braking distance - a compleate different bike nowJul 8, 2015
Ricky G: I finally installed these on my 2013 Sportster and I couldn't be happier The handling is what it should've been from the beginning. Progressive Suspension has it dialed in just right. The handling is incredible. My Sporty feels like a new bike....No front brake dive anymore, it eats the bumps like Cookie Monster eats his favorite treats. Best money I've ever spent so far. Well done Progressive!!!Sep 17, 2014
George P: Wanted to get rid of antiquated Oil bath dampening system, and replace with the more predictable ride characteristics of gas charged monotube.
Safety while cornering and stopping.
Minimum maintenance requirements.Jul 15, 2014
A S asked:I have a 2011 sportster 48 with 11.5 inch back shocks. which one do I need to get for it? the standard or 2 inch under dropped?Jul 17, 2015
If you are looking for max performance use standard length as it gives more travel then the dropped one - more travel give you better control in corners and the longer travel reduce the braking distance -
The drop 2 inch will give you the "look" and compared with Harley stock shock you will get a significant performance gain.
In general this Kit improves the bike dramatic - cornering, control during braking -- a real upgrade and the bike rides fare better then stock.Jul 20, 2015
Thank you for your answer. It, however, is not what I was asking. I need to know which one I need to keep the proper trail ect that would be proper for my 48 with 11.5 inch rear shocks. will the reg one bring up the front too high or will the 2 under be too short? I justr want to know that I get the proper one for y ride. Thank you again.
