Pivot Pegz Mark 3 Pivot Pegs BMW R 1200 GS / Adventure

Pivot Pegz are high performance foot pegs incorporating a unique and precisely tuned, spring loaded pivoting action that allows the foot peg to pivot forward and backward and move with the natural motion of the rider's feet. A computer designed spring holds the peg in its central (neutral) position and provides optimized resistance and shock absorpsion during the pivoting action. When forward or aft pressure is applied, the peg pivots in a smooth and predictable manner. When pressure is released the peg instantly returns to its central position. The spring loaded action of Pivot Pegz also provides valuable force feedback to the rider and assists in returning their feet to the central position.

Great Upgrade Earlier this year i mounted a pair of these Pivot Pegz Mark 3 on my 2011 r1200gs. I've done about 3500 miles since and absolutely love them. The pegs are well built and solid. I stand on them for long stretches of road without issue. It took a couple rides to get used to the pivoting motion but it's well worth it in the end. September 8, 2015
Pivot Pegz Fantastic upgrade over stock pegs. The pivot action is perfect....just enough to make it easy for the controls. March 9, 2015
Expensive but good pegz 2008 1200GS These are extremely well made pegs and the materials are simply the best possible available. The larger platform does help the standing position and the pivoting action is helpful. It is not a wide range of motion and the spring tension is quite high so no concerns of them being loose or unstable. They can be lowered. Mine did not come with instructions describing how to do so but their web site has a very decent tutorial. They can be lowered about half an inch which was just enough to put my brake control back in a comfortable position for my big feet. The patern of notches on the platforms is very aggressive necessitating good boots to avoid injury in a unscheduled dismount. These pegs will probably outlast my bike and I am happy with them. You get what you pay for. December 29, 2014
Does what it says... It was very easy to install... You will immediately feel the difference from the standard foot pegz if you are someone who rides standing in offroad... Does the job perfectly. November 10, 2014
Great Product! As always great service and price from Revzilla. Excellent product and was to install. Normal riding, braking and shifting easier and more secure when stand-up riding is necessary. R1200GS November 3, 2014
A pivotal piece of equipment I bought these to replace the Fastway pegs installed by the bike's previous owner. The cleats on the Fastways were chewing up the soles of my boots. I also realized that I had adapted to this and rode with my boots hanging off the cleats, with furthered increased the wear. I don't ride off-road and only stand on the pegs to see traffic up ahead, or to moon a car behind me. The pivoting motion took maybe 2 days of commuting to get used to. I do find that on long trips I sometimes have difficulty finding a comfortable spot to keep my feet. I don't know if that's because of the Pivot Pegz or because I had adapted to the Fastways and the way the divots in my soles clung to the cleats. I did buy the plastic covers available and they have improved my opinion of the Pivots. I don't feel I have any more missed shifts or false neutrals than I did before installing the Pivot Pegz. Oh, and as far as installation goes, I don't recall seeing anything in the well-written instructions informing me that I have to use the OEM pin & circlips on my peg mounts, which you do. So don't lose any parts when you remove the pegs you're replacing. October 20, 2014
Sturdy.. well fitting... Nice pegs... comfortable.... and is much more noticeable ... comfort wise... I can feel the difference with my feet....the pivot action makes a real difference.... October 13, 2014
Great comfort and control I put them on up side down to get a little more seat to peg length. My only complaint is my feet hang off the outer edge a bit. They could be an inch longer. I love the extra comfort standing and the ease of using the foot controls. September 15, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
John B: I have Sidi Adventure Rain boots and they are a totally different feel on my bike. I am really trying to break them in but I came from an engineer style boot that was much lower in profile and the shifting appears it is going to be very difficult or at least very different with the new boots. I am hopeful that the pivot pegz will give me the flexibility to shift easier with less missed shifts and accidental downshifts while the boots afford me the protection I want. Here's to hoping... SHAUN B: Great reviews, needed to replace OEM part. Jan 28, 2015
Jerry B: Because they offer comfort and are great when you have to stand up over rough ground. Unfortunately, this pair will not fit my new bike. Trade anyone they are pristine. Dec 15, 2014
Jeffrey L: Recommended by shop. Nov 28, 2014
Garrett G: I ride with two guys who also have R1200 GS bikes and they highly recommended the wider pivot pegs for better off road grip. Nov 24, 2014

David A: Everyone told me that I need new pegs. So I bought a set. Much better for long rides. Sep 25, 2014
Tina-Kevin M: For wider pegs and the pivot was a huge bonus. Jun 16, 2014
A S asked: do these pegs provide any lowering capabilities? Nov 17, 2013

Eugene F: No. They add a wider, pivoting surface pretty much at stock height. Nov 17, 2013

Andrew S: Not with my KLR 650. Different mounting brackets would be required to lower them. Consider what lowering would do to the function of the shift lever and rear brake. I like the pivot pegs for dual sport riding, but would like a thin cover for the teeth when riding street with many starts and stops. Nov 25, 2013

Dan M: You can get Pivot Pegz Toppers for that exact purpose, and they look pretty cool too!

Jon C: According to the Pegz guys you can lower them up to 10mm just by switching the L and R pegs to the opposite side. Instructions can be found here: www bmwtcnsw org/club/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Lowering-Instructions pdf Nov 18, 2013

Reid D: I replaced stock with pivots on my klr650. They attached identically to my existing 2 inch lowering brackets. I use scarpa boots that have a big toebox and the pivots work flawlessly. They are not any lower than stock, and provide no lowering capabilities in of themselves. They are excellent if you use a variety of boots or let others ride your bike. I also highly recommend them for anyone with big feet. Nov 18, 2013
