Fast and easy
It doesn't get any easier than installing these spools on your bike. Screw them in and you are ready to get your bike on a stand.

They do exactly what they're supposed to do
I chose the black Delrin spools because I'm not sure how well the anodized ones would resist scratches when lifting with the rear stand. These do the job well and aren't an eyesore on my black frame - just as I was hoping.

Functional and low-profile
This spool kit was installed in about a minute and works well. It offers a low-profile look (black delrin) and seems durable after a good amount of use.

Very sturdy spools. Do what they are supposed to do.
I have been using the Pit Bull 8MM Spool for about 6 months now in conjunction with the Pit Bull SS Rear Stand. The 8MM fit perfectly on the Suzuki GSXR.

My biggest concern buying them was the fear of a malfunction. I didn't want to buy cheap spools only to have one snap and the bike crashing down in the garage. I am happy to report they are VERY sturdy and once up, I can trust they will hold.

My bike is Blue/White so I paired it with the blue finish. It does have some scratches to it. But since the stand is also metal, it is fair to expect, with frequent use of metal to metal contact, scratches will happen. Though the scratches are all underneath the spool and not noticeable unless you are crouched down looking for it. That being said, if you are concerned with scratches underneath the spool, you may consider purchasing the silver ones.

Overall, a fantastic purchase for the price. My biggest concern is they needed to stand up to daily use and not give me any headaches worrying about it failing. The minor scratches do not justify the loss of any stars as it isn't very noticeable. They have done their job and I would purchase them again.

Easy to install and seem very sturdy
I installed these on my gsxr for my Pit Bull stand several months ago. I used loctite tape and these spools have held up well. I've lifted the bike up a handful of times now. Very sturdy and offer a great amount of security holding your bike. You don't want to skimp on the spools....these are what keep your precious bike secure when on the stand.

Great price and shows off your bike.
I purchased these spools (in gold) to securely lift my bike up. The color made my swing arm pop and it also added a little protection. To install clean the bolt and thread on the bike with some rubbing alcohol to remove dirt and grime. Then apply a small amount of loctite to the bolt and it will be secure.

Great spools, small and strong, nice color selection
Replaced some spools that vibrated their way out (different brand) -- These Pit Bull spools work great with the Pit Bull stand (although I can see them working just fine with any stand)

I like the modular design where the barrel part of the spool itself is separate from the bolt holing it in (in case it were stripped and needed to be replaced.)

ONE WORD OF ADVICE: Use some thread-locker glue to keep the spools in so you don't lose them the way I did ;)

Not perfect, but does the job
The only complaint that I could possibly come up with is that the spool could be just a little longer on the right side (or the cup could be more narrow and stay towards the end). I will eventually scratch my bike because the spool allows my stand to come into contact with my 2013 CBR600RR.

I would still buy again.

The spools fit well and are unobtrusive. They are sturdy and the anodized finish is holding up to the Pit Bull stand supports nicely.

Is using some kind of Loctite a must? Or can I just screw these on my bike and be done with it? If Loctite is a must then how do I apply?
A shopper on May 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I simply screwed these on my bike and I have not had any issues. I usually keep my bike on a pit bull stand 6 days out of the week. I ride a 2012 CBR 1000RR and I check my bike regularity before riding. They do not seem to come loose over time.
Does a single Pit Bull Spool Kit include a pair of spools, or do I need to buy two spool kits for each bike?
A S on Mar 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The Kit Includes A Pair Of Spools. To My Knowledge You Cannot Buy A Single Spool. They Are Always Sold In Pairs
Can I buy the pitbull spool set and use them on a different stand other than pit bull and will they fit without a problem?
A shopper on Sep 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes I have a generic stand purchased for $49.00 they work fine. Only thing I would recommend is colored spools will show silver when worn by lifting I got silver ones to remedy.
What size spool do I need with a Yamaha FZ6R (not fz6)?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Based on Yamaha's and Pit Bull's websites, the FZ6R does not have any facility for spools. You could utilize stands that lift by the swingarm and fork bottom.
