Fits well on my RC390, does the job well. Took about 5 minutes to install on my KTM RC390. They include spacers, but I did not install them, as I didn't want them to stick out too far. I can't comment on durability at this point, but they appear that they would hold up well in a low speed slide, and the metal bolt is inset enough that it would take a good amount of sliding before the delrin got ground down to the metal. As expected, they work great to pick the bike up with my rear stand. They don't look goofy or bulky at all. August 11, 2015
Great Product I just installed these last weekend on my 09 Ninja 650R and they worked perfectly. Went right in. No problems whatsoever. Used them with PitBull SS Rear lift and the bike felt super stable. July 20, 2015
It's great 2005 636 Okay I got it in one day . It fits great looks great and was super easy to do. Like if you can't put them on you shouldn't be riding it's that's easy.... 2005 636 July 14, 2015
Stay clear Bought for a 2015 ninja 650. The 10mm were recommended. I spent 2 hours trying to slowly walk the bolt in thinking it will thread itself in as there is over spray with the powder coating. One side went in without stripping it but the other instantly stripped the threading. June 30, 2015
If you own a Ninja 300 look away I can only speak for the Ninja 300 10MM Spool, and can't say anything else about other bikes and this spool. One easy sentence: Don't waste your time or money on this. Arrived promptly, which was great. But when prepping my work area and i tried screwing in the allen bolt just a little and it felt odd. Called RevZilla and asked them about it and as quoted:"... It may be difficult to install but keep going...". Okay. Simple enough I dapped some loctite onto the bolt and start screwing straight in, not at an angle to miss-thread. Half-way through the bolt stops, and still hasn't touched the other end of the swing arm. Somethings wrong, it won't go forward it won't come out. Great so its stuck and after trying to fully install it I get frustrated and try to remove it. I was using the proper SAE metric allen head key and in the process of trying to remove it the head of the allen bolt on the swingarm spool stripped. After further research PitBull 10MM DON'T FIT A NINJA 300 which was claimed by sales reps and the pdf on this page. In the process of trying to remove this right now, but please don't waste your time or money. Buy a quality swingarm, Pit bull makes great stands, but terrible spools. If you own a 300, look elsewhere. June 5, 2015
Does the job well, looks good Got this product for my 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 300. Product looks great and does the job welll. No problems whatsoever with the product in general. Quality also seems to be very nice. I had a problem with the threading on my bike and had to retap the spool sockets and hence installation was not that smooth. But that was a Kawasaki error and nothing to do with the product. The finish did get a few scratches when I had it on the sidewalk and trying to install but not a big issue I think. Would definitely recommend this product. Overall rating I gave was 4 cause after looking around, I like the looks of the rubberized spools more and feel like they might be easier to work with. 8MM are great Spools look good and are super strong. Work great with the Pit Bull stands. April 6, 2015
Nice spools Very nice fit and finish to the hardware. Works well with the PitBull stand I also got from Revzilla. Install was easy with a little lock tight and an allen wrench. I purchased the green set and it was a little darker than the picture shows but other than that a solid spool choice. April 5, 2015

John R: Very solid and good looking. I bought a set of unknown spools from cycle gear and they were not as stable as these on the rear stand. Never buy a swingarm spool that has the bolt screwed/glued into the spool. This spool has a bolt running all the way through it that you tighten directly, it is a much better design. May 30, 2015

Scott L asked: What is the purpose of using blue Loctite when installing these? I see that several reviewers suggested doing this. Does Pit Bull suggest doing this? May 8, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Luc M: If you're unfamiliar with blue loctite, it's a compound designed to keep bolts from loosening up from vibration. Blue loctite is not a permanent bond either, so the bolts can still be removed. Since motorcycles vibrate it's just good practice to attach hardware using blue loctite or similar product on the threads. You really wouldn't want your spools falling off or loosening up from a ride. That way when you use them you have the piece of mind that they're securely attached. May 8, 2014
Reply to Luc Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
A s: Loctite is used to keep any threaded piece from coming undone from normal wear and tear. Since in use the spools will have stands rotating underneath them, holding up most of the bike's weight, it behooves you not to let them come off. Basically you don't want an important screwed on part unthreading on you. That's all. May 8, 2014

Scott L: Got it...are there different versions of the blue Loctite product? And thanks for your help! May 8, 2014
kenneth c: Loctite is so that the spool never shakes loose due to road and engine vibration. It's not necessary, but it just assures you it won't ever loose one while riding. It's happened to me. May 8, 2014

Randy M: Blue loctire will prevent the bolt from loosening due to vibrations over time. May 8, 2014

Charles Gabriel C asked: according to this, the pins for the ninja 300 does not seem to fit right correctly for some people.

I have a 2014 ninja 300 and my question is, should I get pin #20 according to the size chart, and if it didn't fit, do I contact the manufacturer or revzilla for exchange/replacement? I will be ordering from this site of course.

Michael S: I'm not quite sure what you mean. I just bought the 10mm spools and they fit fine for me Apr 15, 2014

KIA X: These worked for me. Sometimes it may feel like it isn't fitting or going all the way in, but it will. Just make sure you don't force it and also it gets tougher towards the end of the thread when you are screwing it in. Just make sure it's align straight while you are screwing it in. If it doesn't fit, you can exchange with Revzilla, as long as there's no signs of it being used on a stand. They have great return policy/customer service. Apr 15, 2014

Sydney H asked: Hi, so these spools came with little nuts as well. are there any circumstances when i should or shouldnt use the nuts? they are pretty thick and it makes the actual screw length to go into the bike pretty short...

thanks in advance for the advice!

Mithilesh S: Mine didnt go in smoothly and I had to retap the threads on the swingarm spool sockets. But I think that might be a Kawasaki manufacturing defect and not anything to do with the spool screws. The spool screws seem solid and you should use them I feel. I used the spool screws I got with this product. May 31, 2015
Reply to Mithilesh Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Cy X: If you're talking about the piece that goes between the spools and the swing arms where the spools screws in, it will be fine to use it. Have mine on for a few years and it holds up fine so far. Apr 29, 2015

A shopper asked: Will this work on 2014 kawasaki ninja 1000? Aug 14, 2015

Joseph C: From the fitting chart on pitbull's website:

Ninja 1000 ('14 & up) F0009-000* *do not use delrin

So no. It looks like you'll need 8MM spools from Pitbull, but make sure they're aluminum and not delrin.
