Great product for the cool weather Bought one of these for my husband and liked it so much, I bought one for me, great fit, really keeps the wind off my chin and neck. Love it! September 30, 2015
Uncomfortable I wish I could return this balaclava, the material is very stiff and the seams, while strong, leave very harsh lines on my forehead. There is little give so it doesn't fold around your neck like a scarf but more makes a curtain, which I suspect will let in more air and be less insulating. Makes getting the helmet on and off easier, but any balaclava will do that I suspect. I wear a medium helmet size. September 28, 2015
a little rough I've been commuting for two weeks now.I washed it once hoping it would soften up a bit and it did. The fit is snug and it stays in place. It keeps the wind out. I have used it in 14F temps.the seams are flat but still dig in a little. Its better after washing it. All in all I like it. March 28, 2015
good fit, better deal, great quality This product seems to be made very well, and after a few rides, I was impressed. The fabric is a bit rough, but not too bad. January 26, 2015
Works as advertised; tight fit Warm and protective; fits very tight on the head, which is probably intended but isn't always comfortable. No trouble wearing it under a helmet, as long as your helmet isn't SO tight that you're already having trouble getting it on. December 29, 2014
IT's the warmth you need on a cold winters day! I had to ride my bike on a long trip in the cold due to our family moving. I considered trailering the bike but I had to use my trailer for moving other household items leaving my bike to be ridden across a mountain range to our new location in 40 degree outside temps. I purchased the Oxford Balaclava in hopes it would keep my head from freezing while riding at highway speeds. Turns out, my head was the only thing on my trip that wasn't freezing. I had to stop twice to try to warm up but my head and neck stayed warm and toasty. It is a good tight fit, does not move when putting on the helmet and you are still able to turn your head to view traffic. It also prevents breathing fog up with the mouth and nose cover. My only complaint if I had to give one, is the inside of the hood is rough and scratchy on the neck. I have a beard and it protected my face but the neck took some getting used too but it's nothing to distracting. I would say this is something every rider needs to have in their riding tool kit. You can roll it up or stuff it anywhere. I will now be purchasing the shirt and pants to match for an extended riding season. Great product! December 29, 2014
It works but doesn't fit the best. The face mask works great at keeping the wind off my face. The only issue I have is that it doesn't fit around my nose very well. It tends to slide down off my nose. October 13, 2014
Does well, not perfect Keeps the rain and cold off my neck, tho it can still get a bit chilly below 40 degrees. Fits VERY snug, making it difficult to get off. Also, the inside is covered in little fleece squares, so if you wear it for a long period of time, your face will be covered in small square indents for a little while after you take it off. Not a deal breaker but it's inconvenient. December 9, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Armando R: For the colder rides to work in the morning. Oct 22, 2015
A S: Works great for riding in 60 and below in the morning. Can be difficult to get on and off with facial hair, and can make adjusting your helmet difficult, but keeps wind off my neck which makes a big difference since my bike has no wind protection. Oct 20, 2015
Lelio G: I'm saw this balaclava in Brazil and like it so much, very good quality.
I'm buying to fly paragliders.

Mark M: Stay warm. It worked great - a little tight when wearing glassed. I took several 200+ mile rides in 30 degree weather and it kept my throat area warm. Apr 17, 2015
Alfredo D: The knee Chillout worked well, I'll try this too. Apr 6, 2015

Jeff S: I've worn this product a few times and at this point I am pleased with this so far. I wear a XL to XXL helmet.and the balaclava I bought was the large. Putting my head through the neck area is snug, but not overly. When I get past the neck, the head area is quite comfortable. This being said, I would bet you would be better off with the small. With revzilla's return policy, you could always exchange for the large. Feb 8, 2014
