Finally found something that fits!
After trying on and sending back two other pairs of overpants from revzilla, I am happy to say that these are worth the pricepoint. (Thank goodness for the easy-peasy return set up!)<br><br>Finding the right fit is always an issue for me. I am 5'6" and 180 pounds. I wear either a size 12 or 14 jean and purchased the size 14 airglide. It is snug but the accordian style hips/legs "give" when needed. I do not feel like I am wearing snowpants. (I did with the another brand.) I will be wearing shorts or capri knit pants underneath these during summer wear. The length is too long, by about 3 to 4 inches. I will have them taken up. Why the 4 rating for comfort? It's just a little bit tight in the tush and I am not what one would call a curvy girl. I'm more the thick in the middle type, but I have to say, these pants don't make me look 'blocky.'<br><br>The quality is superior and padding won't need too much 'working in.' Overall, these pants are a winner.

Great summer pants with good airflow
Overall these are great summer pants with excellent summer airflow. The knee pads sit well, however it would have been nice if there was some hip armor in the pants.<br><br>If you are a curvy women with wide hips, these will accommodate your shape nicely.

Perfect womens pants for hot weather
I bought these pants for a motorcycle trip to Cuba. These pants were awesome. The ventilation was perfect for the hot weather. - in the 80s, low 90s, yet were also comfortable when the temps dipped to the 60s.The entire side zips up so you can just wear shorts under them when it is hot out. Since there was little rain, I left the removable liner out, so I cannot attest to its waterproof features.I am a size 12-14, big in the center/hips, so I have the size 14 and they were true to size-For us full figured girls, performance pants are usually horrible, but these were awesome. They are a bit long, but I road without hemming them and they were fine-just looked a little like snowpants when walking around towns. We were off-road a lot, as well as on paved highways and I was comfortable always, even on a 500 mile run through mountains, unpaved roads and hot lowlands. I did fall once (actually while walking-duh!), and the knee armor worked like a charm. It also has hip armor which is removable but it is quite comfortable. I got very dirty in the mountain roads, but the pants are machine washable. I will be using the Olympias for serious riding. I think these are great for women!

Pants are true to size
I really like my new over pants. The removable liner can be stored easily in my luggage until needed. I wear a size 8 in jeans. I ordered the same size in the over pants and am pleased.

The change to mesh gear is GREAT!
My husband & I each ordered these pants because we were sick of sweating in our non-mesh gear. At first we were skeptical about mesh because we always wear very protective gear, but we also wanted to be more comfortable. Both of us love the pants, and the fit is great. I normally wear a size 8 pant, but I bought the Olympia mesh in a size 10 just to be safe and to be able to layer if necessary. We ordered the pewter and very much like the color! Initially they seemed too long; but once in riding position, they are the perfect length. The side zipper on each leg makes them super easy to get in and out of! I haven't used the liners yet but have the feeling this combination will be perfect in any weather. After having the pants for two weeks, we ordered the Bonneville mesh jackets in pewter (see separate review)--together they make riding in the heat completely comfortable. We couldn't be happier!

Exactly what I was looking for in a riding pant
I have been doing research, reading reviews, looking for the right pair of pants. I finally made my choice of the Olympia Airglide III in pewter, and they are everything I was looking for. The fit is great, and they are comfortable. I can wear the overpant over a pair of jeans and they are comfortable. Returning from a gathering in Pennsylvania a week ago, it was cool and damp. With the liner in place, I was very comfortable, warm and dry. I also like the cut and fit. You can tell it's a woman wearing these pants! I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend the Olympia Airglide III motorcycle pant.

Great pants.
These are my first pair of riding pants. I find them to be very comfortable and true to size for the waist. I'm on the short side (5'3") so I find them to be a little 'bulky' in the thigh. But for being short, I didn't see a need to hem them-once I put boots on, the fit was better. If I do find someone to hem them (there's room for this built into the bottoms) I imagine they'll become more sleek. On the bike I thought they were very comfortable and truly did help with airflow. If you are looking for a durable pant, you can't go wrong with this pair. They are worth it!

These pants are great!
I am a beginner rider and want all the protection I can get. These pants provide that while allowing air flow and comfort. I bought my true size and can comfortably wear blue jeans under them. Even without the jeans, they are a comfy fit which is important to me. The waterproof liner pants are top notch. Also the zippers that go all the way up to your waist make it very easy to take the pants off with your boots on. I told a friend about these pants and she ordered them too. We love them!

I wanted the ability to wear shorts. Over pants provide protection while riding and can be removed while walking around at the ride destination. Revzilla had good closeout price for good quality pants.

Good design - nice looking and highly functional. Easy to put on and off, good protection and good airflow for hot weather. NIce rainproof liner. All this makes for a very versatile and useful item. My husband has a pair and likes them immensely. I decided to get a pair myself to go with my new Airglide 4 jacket.

Teresa N on Feb 23, 2014
First, I bought the Airglide 4 jacket. Then I got to thinking that women's clothing in general doesn't seem very...good. Most of the women I know don't even have what I would consider a decent pair of jeans. Of course I'm not sure that I would fair terribly well in jeans should I need to put the bike down, but I thought about her on the back of my bike and just thought...I need her protected. The pants I picked match the jacket.

REBECCA RADER R on May 13, 2016
I have a pair of these from 2011 (I think - maybe 2010). I'm thinking of getting a new pair, but when I was quickly glancing at them at a shop (not sure it was specifically these Airglide 3, but definitely Olympia's), I think I saw velcro patches up the leg zippers. Do they have velcro as well as zippers?
A shopper on May 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Velcro at the bottom, I'm saying approximately 6 inches. I think that's to make it easier to hem them up. I'm a long legged woman so for me, the length on these is wonderful. Very happy with these pants.
I'm generally not a fan of women's pants—too tight, too low-rise, not as comfortable or as functional as men's pants. What do you ladies say about the fit of these in this regard? I'm 5'4" and weigh 130 pounds and generally prefer men's jeans over women's—for example, Levi's 550 relaxed jeans. Should I go with men's or women's Airglides?
A shopper on Jun 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not sure how the men's version fit, but these are not low rise. They are kind of bulky though, and are snug in the waist. They are also long, so you may need to have them shortened based on your height.
I have the Olympia Switchback jacket and would like to know if these pants work well with that jacket as well?
Becki C on Apr 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I think they would probably work great. what i like about them is that they have the rain liner that is easily packed for that unexpected rain and provide vented protection with the knee and hip armor when warmer weather arrives. My wife has a pair i bought for her that she wears when she occasionally rides, especially when its cooler. i have a pair i use almost every day and have about 20000 miles on them. i wear leather in the colder months but turn to these as the days grow warmer to protect me on the interstate. its about time to change. i don't think you can go wrong with an olympia product. My wife and i have the jacket and pants and i also have a one piece suit. If i need to eventually replace them, it will be olympia.....from Revzilla.
Has anyone else had problems with the waterproof liners of these pants?? I've ridden in a light rain once or twice and noticed a little wetness around my backs of my thighs, but thought it was maybe just from sweat...until I rode in a downpour earlier this week and ended up very wet on the backs of my thighs and bottom half of my legs. I can't figure out where the water was getting in at, but at least in my experience, these waterproof liners do not perform as expected. They are good for giving a little more insulation and allowing you to wear the pants a lower temps, but as of right now I'm disappointed in their 'waterproof' claim...
Krista G on Aug 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: krista, My wife hasn't had any problem with her liners although we haven't ridden much in the rain. sorry. I have the mens version and have ridden in downpours with never a problem. don't understand where the water would be coming from. We have two jackets, two pants and I have a one piece suit with waterproof liner from Olympia and I couldn't be happier. try contacting the company and see if they might arrange for another liner....just a thought.
Odd that the men's airglide come with hip armor, and womens doesn't! Has anybody purchased hip armor for these pants? If so, which?
A shopper on Aug 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I bought the Knox Advance X Hip Protectors. I think they come in 2 sizes, and I got the smaller 24cmx14cm ones. They fit perfectly in the pockets. I got them because the shape seemed to most closely match the shape of the foam inserts that came with the pants.
I have a 34" waist ~ 40" at the hips (41" over jeans). Suspect that the women's will be too big in the hips if I get the waist right, or too small in the waist if I go for the hips. And given that there is no adjustment at he waist, I am wondering if I would be better going with a men's 34. Any suggestions? I usually wear a men's 34x32 jeans and they work fine in most cases (sometimes a titch tight in the hips). But I want to be able to use them as an overpant (over light pants only). Thanks
