Good materials but small in the waist FIRST AND FOREMOST: I haven't really taken them out in pouring rain, so I can't comment on their technical quality. THAT SAID: I got these to serve dual purpose: to fit over jeans when it's a little sloppy out and to fit over armored m/c pants when it's really wet. SO: These are fine over jeans, but a really tight fit in the waist over m/c pants. Ironically, they're very long. I'm going to have to get them hemmed to fit properly. IN BRIEF: But they're lightweight, easy to get on over boots and they tighten down well at the ankle with long velcro strips. Gonna have to wait for a big storm before I can comment further. Just perfect This rain pant is just how it is described. I've several different rain pants but this one is just perfect for my adventure touring trips. Its small bag condenses the pant to fit easily in anywhere...I mean anywhere including a tank bag. The high viz stripe down the side helps compliment my high viz jacket. Great product! March 17, 2014
Olympia Horizon rain pants The rain pants fit according to their sizing. Craftsmanship and quality are very good. Pants fit over boots, so no need to remove boots to put on pants which was one of my requirements. My minor (personal preference) negatives are two fold. First, the pants are pretty long. I'm 5"11" and have 3" - 4" of extra length. Second, the pant legs are a little wide allowing the extra material to flap in the wind while riding; I would prefer the legs more tapered. My solution is to place several Velcro straps around the rain pants to eliminate flapping in the wind. Overall, highly recommended and a favorable value. February 1, 2014
rain pannts this is by far the best rainsuit i have ever owned it is pricey but the quality and hi-vis yellow are well worth it. January 6, 2014
Works well and looks good These pants do look good. As good as a pair of florescent yellow rain pants can anyway. But the features are done well. I am a slim build and these pants slip over my normal riding pants or as the only pant on and they both look normal. Meaning it does not look like I am wearing a hefty garbage bag to stay dry. I am shorter also (5'7") and the roll up features of the pants work great. I have only worn these in a drizzle/light rain but I stayed dry. Good ventilation also and I did not sweat during a 4 hour ride in high 70 degree weather. December 23, 2013
It does the job. I picked up this jacket and the matching pants just before a 2300 mile round trip to WV from MN. We hit heavy rain a couple of times and the suit kept me dry--the times I got it on before the rain. It's easy to put on, and once I figured out that the front was supposed to ride up high, the fit was right and the leg length was good while in the riding position. The hi-viz color also made me feel better about how visible I was to the traffic. I have no opinion on long-term durability, but it seems to be well-constructed, and there were no flaws out of the box. I'm 6', 165#, and the M/L fit perfectly over my textile jacket and pants, after some cinching in. Recommended. December 9, 2013
Fulfill their purpose! Got these to carry in my Givi hardcase for emergencies - just the other day, doing errands at lunch, it started to rain. Popped in to the nearest parking lot, pulled these on over my boots and pants, and off I rode, dry and warm. Very well made, high waist, quite roomy. I'm 6'1", 200lbs, and got the X-Large. Perfect - not stylish, but functional! December 2, 2013
Good gear for the road Fits nicely now that I've hemmed then for my 5ft 7in. body. (6" -cut off). Easy to slide a booted foot in and the velcro cinches them up nicely. Pack in their own pouch and are light weight. Good product. November 18, 2013

Theodore H asked: How's the length? I'm near the high end of the M/L according to the size guide (6'1 - 180) and want to be sure that would be long enough. Hate to size up if it means wearing overly long, ballooning pants. Jan 25, 2014

thomas w: I am 5'11" and wear a 36 x 30 pant. The Horizon pants are very long, almost too long by about 3 - 4 " for me. I don't mind the length because I don't want them to be short or ride-up when riding. The cut of the pants is pretty wide for easy of putting them on while wearing boots, but ballooning may be somewhat of an issue. I "fortunately" haven't needed to wear them as of yet, however I intend to position a Velcro strap or two over the pant to reduce the excess material from flapping because they appear to be a wider cut. There are other brands with a more narrow cut, but you have to remove your boots to put the pant on and in the rain that's not very functional. I do recommend the Horizon rain pants for quality material, craftsmanship and value.

Barry M: I am 5 ft 9 in and weight 175 with a 34 in. waist. The legs are plenty long, probably have at least 3 in. extra. The waist is ok but over jeans and a tucked in shirt the pants could be sized a little bigger in the waist.
Great rain suit as i was in the rain for 10 hours on my way to Texas and did not get a bit wet

Stephen H: Length is good. I'm 6'0 195 lb and was worried when I made the order that they would be too short. But their length is perfect, with a little extra. So I think you at 6'1" 180 should be good. Jan 30, 2014

Greg P: I think the pants run a little long. I am 5 10, 32 in inseam. Bought the small and they fit good over my regular motorcycle pants that have armor Jan 31, 2014

Scott P: I have also had bad experiences with gear that says it is rain proof and would always end up leaking after the second or third storm. I ride pretty much everyday in FL so I was able to test them out fairly regularly. In addition, I have taken a few extended trips to the NC mountains and have stayed dry each time. So far, these are the best rain pants I have used. Jan 3, 2014

paule: I ride a Gold Wing that has protective shields over the pipe, never a problem. but on my Harley, you must be careful to keep you legs away for the hot areas. And they do have nomax built in. May 16, 2013

Jacket Size Guidelines
We suggest you use these size charts as a general guide. Variables in weight distribution and height may alter the appropriate size range indicated. As a general rule Olympia Jackets are designed in America, with an "American" body in mind. As such, you will find that Olympia tend to fit more generously then European brands (such as REV'IT!, Dainese, Alpinestars and Spidi). If you are in between sizes, we recommend to you to err on the smaller side.

Pant Sizing Guidelines
Olympia pants fit true to size. If you intend on using them as over pants, please go one size up.

Inseam Lengths
Olympia pants are cut with generous inseams to accommodate various riding positions. Olympia EZ hem bottoms (can be hemmed up to six inches) and adjustable knee armor help riders achieve a custom fit
