Olympia Horizon Rain Pants 4.6 5 35 35
Great product great price Shortly after the pants arrived I got caught in a torrential downpour. Rode for several miles in the storm and did not get wet. The pants you can snug them up on your calves and ankles to keep water from spraying in. Very pleased with how easy the pants pulled on over my riding boots. Great visibility as well. July 16, 2014
Keeps the rain out They keep me dry but there are a number of things that need improvement. 1) Legs not large enough to fit boots thru. 2) This size is long enough (I'm a 33 x 33) but the waist is too small. Had to remove (cut off) the cinch straps to get them past my hips. The remaining elastic is adequate. Next size up is too big in the waist and too short in the legs. 3) The three horizontal strips of Velcro starting half way down the lower leg ending at the bottom are really cheesy. A single Velcro strap at the bottom would work much better and be cheaper to make. Having to take my boots off to get it on or off is a real turn off. Since I don't have to wear it all the time, I'll put up with it until I find something better. July 14, 2014
Good product. Kept me dry through 2 hours of moderate rain on Interstate. The self storing bag is very handy however the bag's drawstring closure is ill-chosen; there should be a zipper on the bag to make for neater/more-compact packing. July 14, 2014
Excellent dedicated rain pants and more Designed as overpants and they're sized accordingly. The gusset closure at the lower leg opening using Velcro works like a champ to take up the slack after putting on over boots. They don't flap about and, when paired with the Olympia Horizon jacket will keep you dry. Another use is as a great wind breaker on cooler evenings during the summer when you packed light for a day ride. Pants + jacket in size XL rolls up and fits into a 7" dia X 12" long stuff sack making stowage on bike easy. Highly recommended. July 10, 2014
Good product, good service It hasn't rained much since I bought this rain gear so I can't attest to it's ability to keep me dry. The one time I've put it on, it was easy to get in and out of it and the quality was evident. July 7, 2014
Really really good rainsuit My wife and I have been riding 57 years. We both agree these are the best rain pants we have ever owned July 2, 2014
They keep you dry, but you feel like your wearing MC hammer pants First off- they do the job. I have stayed dry on the 3 times I have worn them. They are super convenient and the integrated pouch to roll them up in is a great feature. Only complaint about that pouch was that it could be more compressed. These pants could roll up into a tighter package saving room. Negatives- they are huge. I read the reviews about them being meant to pull up high, which I do but they still seem long and I'm 6'. The owner talks about being able to have them hemmed but that's a little extreme when they still need to be hemmed even after pulled up to your chest. They are also really baggy. I get that the legs need to be wider for the "pull over boot" effect but it almost seems like its baggy where it doesn't need to be. After you snitch down the bottom of the legs around the boot it looks like your wearing MC Hammer pants and I'm not to cool with that. Finally, while yes the boots do slip in relatively easily the lining is not stitched to the shell. So it's possible, especially with feet my size, to pull the liner from the shell and almost turn them inside out from themselves. Bottom line- I bought them so I could wear my Draggin Jeans and if rain was in the forecast I could carry this, and slap them on in a pinch. For this, they work perfectly. Just don't expect to look cool wearing them. June 3, 2014
These are a great value. Receive these a few weeks ago, have not had a chance to wear them in the rain, the fit is just right. May 26, 2014

BARRY P: Yes and no.
First of all they're awesome pants, and well designed. They *do* fit according to the size chart (in terms of waist size, and ability to use them as overpants). That being said, they are *WAY* long. However, the design is such that you can bring them to a tailor and hem up to 6" shorter (I took 4" inches off, and they're still long enough to cover everything in a tuck, and they fasten as they're supposed to at the boot, just the same as if they were never hemmed).

Thumbs up on these pants...

William H: I got M/ L for both pants & jacket. I am 5-8 / 180, 34-30 pants. Pants fit OK but too long for my stubby legs, but can be cinched up tight. Jacket fits good. Both fit good over my other full gear. Would be baggy without full gear. Good luck. Apr 27, 2014

Steve H: I used the size chart and they fit properly. I did have them shortened because I have a short inseam. They fit over my jeans and boots and look trim. Apr 25, 2014

Louis D: Definitely larger but not tent like. Generally large form over standard gear, a little long in the leg(32") for me in a large, but not unmanageable. Apr 26, 2014

Theodore H asked: How's the length? I'm near the high end of the M/L according to the size guide (6'1 - 180) and want to be sure that would be long enough. Hate to size up if it means wearing overly long, ballooning pants. Jan 25, 2014

thomas w: I am 5'11" and wear a 36 x 30 pant. The Horizon pants are very long, almost too long by about 3 - 4 " for me. I don't mind the length because I don't want them to be short or ride-up when riding. The cut of the pants is pretty wide for easy of putting them on while wearing boots, but ballooning may be somewhat of an issue. I "fortunately" haven't needed to wear them as of yet, however I intend to position a Velcro strap or two over the pant to reduce the excess material from flapping because they appear to be a wider cut. There are other brands with a more narrow cut, but you have to remove your boots to put the pant on and in the rain that's not very functional. I do recommend the Horizon rain pants for quality material, craftsmanship and value.

Barry M: I am 5 ft 9 in and weight 175 with a 34 in. waist. The legs are plenty long, probably have at least 3 in. extra. The waist is ok but over jeans and a tucked in shirt the pants could be sized a little bigger in the waist.
Great rain suit as i was in the rain for 10 hours on my way to Texas and did not get a bit wet

Stephen H: Length is good. I'm 6'0 195 lb and was worried when I made the order that they would be too short. But their length is perfect, with a little extra. So I think you at 6'1" 180 should be good. Jan 30, 2014

Greg P: I think the pants run a little long. I am 5 10, 32 in inseam. Bought the small and they fit good over my regular motorcycle pants that have armor Jan 31, 2014

clive h: I would order the large, I am a couple inches shorter than you but there is plenty of length. Good pant for the money. Safe riding! Jan 29, 2014

A shopper asked: question is are they really rain proof ? I have had many rain paints over the years and very few have keep me dry in a extended ride in the rain

Scott P: I have also had bad experiences with gear that says it is rain proof and would always end up leaking after the second or third storm. I ride pretty much everyday in FL so I was able to test them out fairly regularly. In addition, I have taken a few extended trips to the NC mountains and have stayed dry each time. So far, these are the best rain pants I have used. Jan 3, 2014

paule: I ride a Gold Wing that has protective shields over the pipe, never a problem. but on my Harley, you must be careful to keep you legs away for the hot areas. And they do have nomax built in. May 16, 2013

Jacket Size Guidelines
We suggest you use these size charts as a general guide. Variables in weight distribution and height may alter the appropriate size range indicated. As a general rule Olympia Jackets are designed in America, with an "American" body in mind. As such, you will find that Olympia tend to fit more generously then European brands (such as REV'IT!, Dainese, Alpinestars and Spidi). If you are in between sizes, we recommend to you to err on the smaller side.

Pant Sizing Guidelines
Olympia pants fit true to size. If you intend on using them as over pants, please go one size up.

Inseam Lengths
Olympia pants are cut with generous inseams to accommodate various riding positions. Olympia EZ hem bottoms (can be hemmed up to six inches) and adjustable knee armor help riders achieve a custom fit
