Nolan N91 Helmet
HJC CL-Max 2 Faliling apart
Sadly second HJC modular helmet that just falling apart .
This one failed when the front face peace cracked by the vent . 2 weeks latter the something inside the switch that opens it up failed.. Taking it apart show that the whole inner switch is just plastic and it snapped in 2 . There is no fixing it . Yah HJC is sending me a new face part but it should never have happen . I m left wondering WTH going to happen when my face impact the ground in a crash ? Once the front face part come in the mail this helmet is going on clist . I m buying a Nolan n91.

Great for the money
The N91 was a great deal and exactly the type of helmet I was looking for. I am really happy with the purchase, especially considering the next "step up" was 50% more in price.
However, note the following:
The helmet is snug and there is no adjustment since the inner lining seems to be one piece (as noted in the videos). I find the snug fit to be great at first, but after an hour or so I start to feel like it is too tight. I'm hoping this will decrease with continued wear.
The sun-visor feels and looks a little cheaper than I expected. It works and it's been a great help on my rides, but it isn't super high quality.
I like to ride with the visor up occasionally (the transparent windshield only, not the whole front chin). When I do, there are times when it will drop down if I'm on the highway. It's a bit annoying and I've never had this problem with helmets this style before. So now, whenever I hit about 65mph I just close the face shield to prevent it dropping unexpectedly.
Otherwise, great helmet, especially for the price.

Great helmet for the price
I bought this helmet because I was looking for something that was modular, had a good shape, and had features I figured would be useful. Because it's modular, I'm able to take it on and off without removing my prescription glasses and it still fit comfortably. Because of the built-in sun visor, on the days I wear contacts it's a life saver because it saves me from having to buy a separate shield for day use. The fact that it comes with a pinlock in the box was an added bonus that not many other helmets seemed to offer.
For the price point I'd say it's one of the better helmet options available. Adding the N-Com system to it gives you even more bang for your buck (especially if you opt to go with Basic Kit2 + Bluetooth Kit3/3+ where you'll be able to universally pair with other intercom systems.
Definitely worth a buy or at least a strong look.

Great helmet for the money
The helmet is slightly heavier and a bit noisier than I would like, but for that price you can't go wrong. I actually received the EVO version of this helmet, which has an upgraded liner. The build quality and paint are superb and are on par with other premium helmets. My favorite feature of this helmet is the drop down sun visor which fits over my prescription glasses perfectly.

Very comfortable & full featured helmet
I bought this helmet based on the reviews, video, and relative price. I received the helmet in a few days, and it fit perfectly based on the sizing guide. I really like the features, such as venting, sun shade, and chin curtain. I bought it in flat black and really like the look!

Excellent helmet for the price
The N91 is a feature rich, well made helmet. Fit and finish are excellent and a price point that's hard to beat, considering the quality.
The flip up works well, clicking nicely in place. The ability to lock the helmet in the open position is a nice touch.
The sun visor works well. It's slightly shaped, around the nose, but not too much. Best would be not at all, so I could lower the visor to any position to only cover the top of the view, but it's not too bad. The visor itself is quite light in color, so sunglasses should be worn in full sunlight. The visor is useful in lower light conditions, or as an extra block of the sun itself in addition to sunglasses. It works well.
Noise levels are medium.
My only gripe is the missing ear pockets. The helmet liner, which is nice and comfortable, sits directly on the ears without pockets surrounding the ears. If you prefer ear pockets, this will bother you.

Great helmet with nice features, good cost.
This helmet is a big step up in comfort and features from my plain jane cheap helmet I've been using for years. I love the modular design, it makes it much more comfortable to ride in hot weather. It is basically a necessity to have the chin bar up to put the helmet on as it fits very tight. It fits on the tight side overall; I sometimes get the pads folding over as I put it on because it's so tight, despite my head being just below the measurement range for the large. Once it's on, it doesn't feel too tight and fits very secure, but putting it on can be a little bit painful.
The flip down visor is possibly my favorite feature, though the visor isn't very dark and I often find myself still struggling to see due o the sun even though the visor is down.
The pinlock anti-fog system works perfectly so far, I haven't had any fog whatsoever despite riding in heavy, warm rain.
The hin strap lock is very nice, though it tends to sit a it too much against my throat, and it doesn't have a loop to use with a helmet lock.
The venting is ok. I don't really feel it, but I assume it's doing something. It does get a bit louder when you open them.
The wind skirt on th chin bar is very nice to have, but it is not the best designed attachment. It's a bit hard to pull out, and because the plastic parts on the chin bar aren't toleranced as well as they should be, one side of it falls out alot because it fits in too loosely. It definitely can't survive frequent removal.
Overall I like the helmet, it has alot of features at the price point. I'd probably buy it again if I had to go back as no other helmet in this price range had all of the features this one has.
