Nolan N43E Trilogy Voyage Helmet

New Features:

  • New: Chinbar is extended for extra room and now can accept included chin curtain
  • New: Face shield now has intermediate open position, previous version was either opened or closed
  • New: locking pivot kit

6-in-1 design

The New Nolan N43E Trilogy Helmet is a crossover design with quick-change accessories that allows for customized looks and functions for every ride. The helmet comes with the clear shield, the integrated sun shield, the peak and the removable chinbar. The Lexan chinbar is EPS lined and mounted with strong stainless-steel latches, so it passes the tests for full-face helmets of the European standard ECE-2205.  VPS (Vision Protection System) features a short dark shield mounted on the inside of the helmet which moves independently from the face shield. It provides real eye protection and is also available in amber, light blue and light smoke as an accessory.  The VPS is easily operated by a large rubber coated slider on the left side of the helmet.

Features:

  • Quick-change shield is optically correct, UV-400 and fitted in an exceptionally large eyeport
  • Includes a Pinlock antifog insert
  • The short black peak can be installed in seconds instead of the clear shield
  • Ready for the N-Com communication system
  • Lightweight aerodynamic polycarbonate shell with built-in spoiler for improved stability
  • Fully removable and washable Clima-Comfort liner is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and wicking
  • Super-efficient JSW top vent with exhaust grid in the rear spoiler; works in conjunction with the air  channels along the crown
  • Microlock (adjustable quick-release) retention system
  • Velour chin-strap padding
  • 3.6lbs with all accessories
  • DOT Certified

Notes: Trilogy Solid, Trilogy Outlaw and Trilogy Voyage Helmets are identical except for the paint or graphics. "Outlaw" versions of Nolan Helmets have a sleeker look with more subtle Nolan logos. Though this helmet passes ECE testing in Europe, in the US it is DOT Approved only.

One of a kind helmet. Near perfect! This is my second N43E helmet. Unfortunately it's being discontinued for the N44 which is significantly different. I'm from maine and ride about 10k a year. I like to ride with the visor on, faceshield off and chinbar on. Not mayn't road helmets allow this configuration. I have found the helmet very comfortable and (when the faceshield is on) quiet. It isn't the lightest but it does so many things. It's very easy to install speakers. The internal slide down visor works like a charm (unlike the new N44). The new N44 when faceshield is off looks totally like an off-road helmet whereas this helmet looks pretty perfect on the road. The original version of the N43 did not allow for the faceshield to be placed in an open position but the last design does allow for it. The faceshield attachment pins also got replaced. Don't know why. On the original one you could change from faceshield to visor (or vice-versa) in about 15 seconds without rushing. Luckily you can replace the faceshield pins with the original pins. Overall an incredible and unique helmet that fits all my needs, and probably yours. I hope that Noln brings it back because the N44 isn't the helmet that the N43e is. Ride a 1992 BMW K75s and a 2004 BMW K1200rs, not at the same time. February 17, 2014
I love it! I wear it with the cap-like visor on, and the sun visor. I do not use the full-clear visor. I also keep on the mouth/chin guard. This is a great, light combination, that provides excellent visibility for me. More compliments on this helmet than any other I have owned. I feel safe and protected! January 10, 2014
Amazing field of vision, balanced & light weight, numerous configurations, and winning intercom system (optional) I have had four helmets over the last 6 years, both full face and modular, and this is by far the best one I've owned. It is also the quietest. The field of vision is unbelievable. It is not only light weight, but is so well balanced it feels even lighter. This helps with buffeting at high speeds and really reduces neck strain. It is also the most versatile helmet I've seen. You can read all about the six configurations in the description so I won't go into them. But when we first got them we played with all the parts and configurations and we were impressed with how simple it was to change out parts. I will say that the built in sunscreen actually works since it comes down far enough to be useful. And the shield stays put when you move it to a “lock” position vs. the often encountered “slam the shield down” experience when hitting higher speeds. The helmet alone is worth every penny. Adding in the optional intercom system, which the helmet is made to support, and you have a winning combination. The helmet and com systems are one of the best investments I’ve made. So if you are looking for a lightweight helmet with amazing features and great versatility at a good price point then look no further. December 23, 2013
Very versatile and comfortable helmet. I rode over 3000 miles wearing this helmet within a week of buying it. It was quiet, comfortable, and the flexible configurations worked for all road and weather conditions. Great helmet! September 9, 2013
An exceptional helmet, with great features and the best field of view I've seen, order a size large. The first thing I noticed about the helmet is how light it is, It's incredibly light, and the polymer shell is largely to blame, the only downside to this is you can feel the shell flex a little when you wear it. The XLarge was a little small for me, not in the padding, just that my chin touched the chin bar in certain positions, not enough to cause me concern about a face shot in a wreck, but I might trade up for an 2XL. The technology was spot on, and the little details like the pin lock, sun shield, and ratcheting chin strap were very well executed, with more than enough vents to keep you cool on a long ride, an exceptional buy, I highly recommend it. Great helmet, noisy with fairing This was my second helmet (first was a scorpion 400). Well built, very comfortable, great airflow and vision, and the sun visor helps (could be a tad bigger, but works). The helmet wears a bit large - I wear a L on the scorpion, Nexx X1r1 and n43, but the n43 feels a bit larger. Unfortunatelly I traded my bike for a vfr and with the fairing the nolan gets too loud (even with plugs which I always wear), so I ended up getting the nexx. Overall I think the nolan is better, specially on summer. July 15, 2013

RevZilla: Depending on the size, we find the Nolan N43E helmets to weigh in the 3-1/2 pound (estimated) that is much lighter than traditional modular helmets. Jul 2, 2012

A shopper asked: I'm worried about installation because of the attached liner on the bottom Jul 28, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: Yes, the Sena SMH-10 will be compatible with the Nolan N43E Helmet but only if you use the sticky part, not the clamp system. The reason for that is that the bottom neck part of the helmet is curved towards the inside of the helmet, and does not allow to install the clamp system without having to cut through that plastic liner part. Jul 31, 2012

DoggyDaddy: Not sure about the SMH10 but the SMH5 fits fine. It is a bit smaller than the "10" and I used the included adhesive mount to attach it to the side of the helmet. The wires routed easily underneath the removable ear padding. Feb 11, 2013

A shopper asked: I recently picked up a yellow/black 2001 Triumph Sprinter RS - can you tell me if the shade of yellow on the Nolan N43E Trilogy Voyage Helmet matches it? May 21, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
SteveARosa: As close as you can get! The helmet is a nice shade of yellow, not the neon type at all but a rick deep yellow. Seriously, I do believe whole heartedly it is as close as you can get it! Heck, try one and if you don't like it for any reason, Revzilla will be happy to take it back! Apr 3, 2013
Reply to SteveARosa Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The yellow is very similar, but there is no guarantee it will match. May 23, 2012
