Nolan N104 Helmets represent an evolutionary step for Nolan as they replace the much touted N103 Helmet. When compared the older N103, the Nolan N104 Helmet offers a helmet which is much lighter (7oz), features a lower profile through the use of multiple shell sizes, better aerodynamics, as well as a much larger viewport for increased visibility. The (patented) chin guard rotation movement with elliptical trajectory makes it possible to keep the total size of the helmet's front section to a minimum, when the chin guard is open. The "sail" effect is consequently highly reduced and riding comfort is still guaranteed, even when the chin guard is lifted. The new ultrawide eyeport is the largest of any Nolan helmet, both vertically and laterally for maximum field of view.
The AIRBOOSTER ventilation system is equipped with an air intake in the chin bar, another intake in the brow and two rear extractors at the rear. The inner comfort lining includes removable cheekpads, inner liner, neckroll and chin curtain and is easily removable and washable as well as antifungal and antibacterial. New, redesigned comfort liner also accommodates eyeglasses much more easily than before.
All Nolan N104 helmets are also N-COM B4 ready (N-COM B4 is designed expressly for the N104 and is sold separately).
Injected polycarbonate GE Lexan shell
7oz lighter than the Nolan N103
Two Shell engineering allows Nolan N104 to offer sizes from 2XS to 3XL (2XS-LG and XL-3XL)
Dimensionally correct sizing allows ample cubic volume in chin/nose area
Face shields are now sized to fit the two different shell sizes (2XS-LG and XL-3XL)
Ultra wide eye port opening is the largest on any Nolan helmet for superior visibility
Shield is changed by a simple push button mechanism
Pinlock shield included with each helmet
VPS (Vision Protection System) is new; slider bar to lower, push button release for instant retraction
Great visibility, nice features and style.
Can't beat the visibility. It took a quite a bit of time for helmet interior to break in. Fit seemed small. A little tough to clean interior mesh. I broke one of the little straps so you have to be careful taking apart. Definitely recommend the mirrored shield, It adds great night and day use.

A great premium helmet by Nolan
I wanted to review the Nolan N104 helmet as after looking at 3 high end helmets, The Schuberth C3, Shoei Neotec, and the Nolan N104, I wanted to comment on the Nolan which I ultimately decided upon.
Admittedly having been a Nolan helmet user since the N102's, I really wanted to buy the C3 or the Neotec. I found though that the N104 is a HUGE step forward from the N103. The build quality far surpassed the N103 and in my opinion is very comparable to the C3 and the Neotec.
The fit was very comparable to the C3 and Neotec as well as the redesign to the shell was an improvement from the N103.
I found from a quiteness standpoint, the Neotec and the N104 were identical. Whereas the C3 was slightly quieter on the road.
In the end I found the price point on the Nolan to be perfect. Comparable helmets costing 150-300 more than the Nolan. If you're on the fence between any of the three helmets in this article, I highly recommend giving the N104 a try, you won't be disappointed.

Nolan N 104 Tech Helmet
Initially it was a decent helmet, with use it deteriorated. Above average wind noise. Airflow vents dont work very well. Difficult to manipulate the chin bar and shield removal is tedious. The Pinlock shield don't last. If you ride with the chin bar up it moves and wears out the pin slots then the pinlock shield falls out. I would expect much better quality for a 430.00 helmet and I would expect much much better quality from the Italians. If I had to do it over again I would have purchased a Schuberth.

A S: This helmet offers the best of both worlds; the ability to ride full face in the winter or 3/4 the rest of the year. I also like full face on long trips so its the perfect choice for me.Nov 2, 2014
Eduardo E: I had one in the past and liked a lot the bluetooth connectivity. The design is also nice.Aug 28, 2014

Cheryl S:Hi Garrett - My husband and I started out with the Solid Nolan helmet and really loved the way it fit. We needed new helmets and decided to attempt some different brands so that we could get a more stylish and no so "old" of a look. We tried on several of the top brands, but kept going back to the Nolan as it seemed to be the best fit for us. We purchased the Nolan Tech Helmet along with the Blue tooth N-com and couldn't be happier. We both feel the N104 Tech is a much nicer looking helmet but still fits like the Solid N104. It is a bit "noisier" then the Schuberth, but we have no problem hearing each other thru the N-com system and we love how easy the front lifts and the sun shield flips down. To answer your question, the main diff we have found between the Nolan solid and the Tech helmet is the looks, but it also has a slight diff in the way the front lifts, but our solids were a bit older and this could be the way the new solids open also. Hopes this helps. :)Oct 19, 2014
Manuel A:Hi, I did two things and the Helmet fit perfectly. 1. I went to a local dealer and tried a Nolan helmet on, they did not have the same model but it gave a pretty good idea of the feel of the helmet. 2. I look at the size chart and did the exercise with the measure tape.
I like my helmet to be tight fitted even so my size could be M or S, I order S.
I am very happy with mine and I do recommend the product.Jun 4, 2014
Fred K:Revzilla is great about returns! I just purchased an N104 and it didn't fit - no problem! Just keep all the tags on and save the original box. Call Revzilla and get a return authorization then take it to a fed ex or UPS store and send it off.
A shopper asked:Can I use a Scala Rider headset and mount it on the left side of this Nolan 104 helmet? I am worried that the switch for lowering and raising the sun visor will get in the way of where I need to mount my Scala Rider.Aug 25, 2014
Camilo S:Is kind of difficult but is possible to fit the scala. You have to use the sticky mount is not possible to use the clamp mount because the helmet is very width. If you install it ritgh it won't interfere with the scala. If you have the g9 is better to use the cable mic not the hard oneAug 26, 2014
