Nolan N-Com MCS II Complete Kit - Goldwing
Poor quality and poor customer service
This is the second time I have bought this N-Com.
The first one broke after 3 months due to a weak connection between the boom and the mike. And re installment was so delicate that it broke in the reinstall process.
The second device broke exactly like the first at the weak point of the mike attachment. Cust Svc called and wanted me to pay for the repair. They said that since the windsock was not returned with the device they weren't responsible. And they accused me of manhandling the boom mike?!?
The cost to repair was quoted as $69 and too high for a very poor quality device. I opted out and they returned broken item.
I will not repurchase this item due to the lack of quality and uncaring customer care.

Price is right
Got this to install in a Nolan N-COM EVO helmet. Installation was easy once you get the helmet apart. Like other reviewers I'm concerned about the long term durability of the mini-USB connection on the helmet. The cord is plenty long but I would not say it's too long. There is some slack in your lap when on the bike but it does allow you the ability to dismount without unplugging. As a backseat passenger it would be too long. The intercom works well. It is not as sensitive to voice pickup when using other audio devices so you have to talk loudly in order to get the music to mute. So I question how well it will work with a female voice. Music sound quality is not up to par with JM headsets, especially at highway speeds.

Not a great start!
I bought this so my wife and I could talk and listen to music on a 7 hour trip to Branson, MO. Right out of the box the intercom doesn't work! Music is fine...I can hear my wife but she can't hear me. Now I have to contact Nolan and send it all back in. Long trip with full helmets and not being able to talk just isn't for me! The cord seems really cheaply made...even if I get it to work I don't think it will last long. There has got to be a better way!

Easy to install
Pretty simple to install and very good sound compared to my J&M 284. I have not yet had the chance to validate the durability of the product, but I am concerned with the Micro-USB cable durability. Time will tell. I did have to replace my J&M cable within 1 year of use!!!

Good n-com kit.
The n-com kit for n44 helmets is very easy to install and seems to work well. Have only had one ride with it s use act. of getting cold out side but on that ride the sound quality was very good.

This product is average at best but fits great in the Nolan
I enjoy my nolan 104 helmet. The intercom system was the easiest to install, however the cord is too long, it is a very cheap cord and its durability will be in question! The speakers to not have much range for music and are fair at best. Other than a great fit for the helmet, I question if it is going to last. PS my friend ordered it and had a problem with the mike, Revzilla would not return it and he had to go directly to the Nolan Rep on the westcoast. He is going to send his helmet to J and M in AZ for a custom install.

Easy install but failed after 6 months
The install was the easiest helmet headset install I have seen. That is the only thing good about this headset. First if you can get both seakers to work then the sound is comparable to a old portable AM radio. With the bass up full and the volume up almost full you can hear music at 65 mph. I purchased 2 of these and both cords have shorts in them causing the sound and mics to go in and out. Now today the mic failed altogether, 6 months after purchase.
You get what you pay for.

Easy Install Good audio
I bought the new Nolan N44. I have a 2014 Harley Limited. I had a Nolan N43E with a Harley headset. No matter how I installed the Harley headset, it always came loose. The installation on the N44 was easy and fast. The fit is outstanding and it will never come loose. Just completed a 1500 mile trip. The audio was perfect on the radio, bluetooth and CB. If you have the N43E or N44, this is a must have. The Harley connector does seem a little flimsy. The cord is extra long and gets in the way. Will have to see how it holds up over time
