Being a British rider I spotted this helmet at a nexx stand at the 2010 Motogp and was drawn over to it
by the Union Jack theme that one of the models had on it.
I had never heard of Nexx so was immediately suspicious of quality and had a good look over the helmet.
The trim looked very tight and the fit of the few movable items is very good. As shown in the video the helmet comes
with a pack of shims so you can take out the interior padding and add a little support where you think it's needed.
The helmet is super low weight and visor cut out really does allow you to get great peripheral vision. The lack of
quick release mechanism means it take 2 mins to replace the visor.. Which Ain't much different than my Arai corsair as
im always scared of snapping the mechanism on that.
Theres a large anti mist removable sheild which doesnt touch my roman nose and a little net under the chin that stops the
airflow getting into a mess under there.
The support for me is fantastic.. I've used it on one trackday and the helmet seemed part of my skull at speeds at about 160mph.
There are two giblets that stick out into your chin that take some getting used to.. I just pull them down so they fit under my chin..
I do not like the venting much. the forward mouth vent only provides air to the mist shield area and I'm one that likes to get instant fresh air.
on a 80f's track day the helmet seemed very stuffy... I may even drill some tiny holes in that area to try and get some airflow into my
mouth.. You can always shut the vent if your trying to keep the cold out.
I also wish the visor opening increments would be a little differently located. I find when it's hot its either closed or i'm getting blasted in my eyes..
this will vary on what bike your riding and angle of attack obvious, as this is a problem on my adventure but not on my Superbike..
All in all a fantastic helmet for a good price and if they can sort out the front mouth vent I don't see any problems at all..
